There are so many calls where the co-host has had a genuinely interesting question and Matt has hung up on the caller because HE feels frustrated (which he easily does with his extremely quick temper). Well the main goal of the show is not just to convince the caller that they are wrong when they are wrong. There is also an audience who may have similar thoughts as Jimmie and the host address it for them. The arguments may not work on a dishonest, hard to get through interlocutor, but it works on a honest skeptical truth seeking audience in the path towards deconvertion.

They generally don't take kindly to being misgendered even though it's probably happened many times throughout their lives. As someone who has worked in a call center, it happens far more frequently than you might think. Also, trans and non binary people exist and deserve to be called by their preferred pronouns rather than by any assumed ones. People who throw a fit about a tiny basic courtesy like asking for your preferred pronouns are just butt hurt that the world is moving on beyond their own shallow understanding.
