This episode brings back so many memories and having Rene Echeverria on as our guest was A+++! Plenty of points and quotable moments from Cirroc and Ryan. I get choked up just thinking of Lal. All said, it really does take a village (or in this care, a starship) to raise a child! Thanks so much @The7thRule ! ❤💛💙🤓🖖🏾
Review of this episode with epic guest Rene Echeverria in the first segment and then Cirroc and Ryan really deep diving into the emotions and understanding surrounding this "filler/botle" episode and Jonathan Frakes directorial debut! This one is always a hard one to watch, mostly because of all the feelings that come along with it. It was a smaller group for the FFA, but still packed with great stuff. I really did like the deep quote that Chris McGee (aka @SturmB) came up with. Great time in the Live Chat with #ChatPack, the Next Generation of #ChatFam.
One of the very best and one of my favourites. This guides us to consider so many questions. What is it to be alive? What is it to create life? What makes our identity? How does an android show us what a parent's love look like? I say he does it perfectly.❤
data may not have emotions as we would define them, but he does have them. That translates to the Orville. Isaac has emotions they were expressed as an error in judgement. I always think of it dating back to Crusher saying "why do I find that hard to believe?"
This is one of my favorites in the franchise, but it's painful. I can relate to it. I've lost a daughter. And now I'm watching my oldest dog slowly get paralyzed. She's "failing" like lal right before my eyes. But holy crap is it beautiful.
I believe transfigurations is the last "normal" episode of the season before the 2 parter cliffhanger. It is season 3 for sure. In Theory is season 4. I believe it's late in the season.
As a trans woman, I've seen this episode used as an example of how it should be. I've seen star trek get transgender episodes wrong, but this one was right.
For a show that has a title more in common with DS9, you guys showcase way too much of TNG and Voyager. Enough... I'll still follow but I won't watch any more shows on TNG! Why no love for DS9... A much better show with stronger, more flush out characters? But a hold on TNG, enough is enough!!!
