Tip with no spoilers: calling Jimmy while In a room at the doorway will make him come down that hallway, if you watch him pass the eyehole, wait a few seconds, and if you don't miss click, you can outrun him easily and go off down where he came from without him catching you and he will loose track of you. Also, if you dont hear footsteps all of a sudden, when it sounded like he was very close by, there is a high chance he may be hiding behind a corner, if you wait long enough, he will peak around the corner, so then you know he is there, and can run away. You can also see Jimmy through the peephole as he's opening the door. Extra tips ive missed and You have around 5 - 10 seconds to hide in the closet or bathroom. you can also hide in the closet and if you do, there is a high chance Jimmy will hide in the bathroom, in this case, run straight to the door and open It immediately. If you have the deadlock key, you can lock Jimmy in the room for a good while.
seán you need to ask the ghosts about everything in your inventory to see how they respond and it helps develop the story and eventually you can figure out which item goes to each ghost and how they died. also to lock jimmy in a room you have to go into the wardrobe when you hear him turning the knob, then run as fast as you can out into the hallway and lock it. also sometimes when you die, jimmy takes your keys (the room keys, stair keys, and storeroom keys) so to get them back, you go to the front desk where maya first found the ghost reader in the cutscene at the beginning, and your keys are there. also, jimmy can’t get you on the bottom two floors (g and lg) or in the stairs so you’ll always be safe in those places. like this up so jack will see it.
The Book of Tube, Chapter 1, Vid 3: 'And so, all the likes shall go to that person who is helpful, and doth not spoil our Good Game. Rip and Tear, Amen.'
Hey Jack, I have some updated tips for you. When you hide in the closet if jimmy stays in the bathroom waiting for you you can actually get out quickly before he can attack. Using the mirror to know where to go next gives Jimmy your location if it’s not in the kitchen. (This is confirmed now!) when he catches you you lose your deadbolt keys and you have to find them again. You can actually lock jimmy into a room with a deadbolt. Pressing Q does help you hear farther away and more clearly! Jack I hope this helps you in your quest going forward!! GL Jack! LIKE SO JACK SEES THIS!!!
Having Jimmy know your location after using the mirror reminds of how in Lord Of the Rings if Frodo Baggins uses the Ring, the Ring Wraiths know where he is. Random connection I made haha
@@squiishyink it gives the floor making him search for you on the floor sooner then he would normally. After using the scry he immediately appears on your floor
GAMEPLAY TIPS WITHOUT ANY SPOILERS!!! 1. When Jimmy starts going to different floors, it might take him a little time, so he won’t be there instantly, giving you time to walk down a hall without him being around a corner right away. How fast he gets to the floor depends on how far in the game you are as the time decreases. 2. When you hide in the closet, stay in there for a bit if you are only hiding (even after hearing the door close) because he could be hiding in the bathroom, waiting for you. But hiding in the closet is much safer than hiding in the bathroom, since he could randomly barge in and knock you out (as seen in Markiplier’s videos). 3. If you mess up 3 times in a row trying to pair clues, the ghost will leave for a little bit. To avoid this, after the second failed try, exit the communication, turn around, maybe walk the room, open the communication, and try again. That, or you can save, exit the game, and reenter the game. 4. *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED* Go into a room if you are unsure where Jimmy is, call for him, and use the peephole to watch which way he goes. Wait a moment and repeat if he went the way you need. As far as I have seen, he does not randomly generate and actually travels the halls. So if he is behind you, he will not suddenly appear in front of you, allowing you to go around corners without fear of him being there. 5. Later on, after Jimmy has come into a room you are hiding in and leaves, check the peephole for a good moment, because he might just be squatting down under the peephole, waitin’ for ya, like the clever bastard he is. 6. LEARN THE MAP WHILE YOU CAN! I will not say why, as it is a spoiler at the last leg of the game, but it will DEFINITELY help you in the long run! The first floor is a bit of a circle in a way, with like 3 dead end halls branching off, starting at rooms 101, 107, and 121. So if you see these rooms, you are heading towards a dead end and might want to turn around. The second floor is very identical to the first floor with the deadend halls beginning at 201, 207, and 221. The third floor is nothing but a trap, with there only being one way to go, and no way to loop around back to the elevator. So, when Jimmy comes to the third floor, you’ll need to play hide-n-seek with Jimmy using tips 4 and 9 from this comment. 7. Store rooms are EXTREMELY risky to hide in. You can’t see out and (if you don’t lock it) he might barge in on you, knocking you out. It is also difficult to tell if he is skulking nearby. 8. When caught, Jimmy will take all of the keys that you have on you, with the exception of the store key. However, you can pick the keys back up at the reception desk! (Thanks for the correction, Holly_Golightly!) 9. When trying to lock him in, call for him and hide in the closet and listen for footsteps or taunting. If there isn’t any, he’s in the bathroom, allowing you to run out and deadlock him in for a short moment. 10. *this is not a spoiler* during the last leg of the game, be VERY careful and listen VERY CAREFULLY for where Jimmy is. Listening can be so much more helpful and trusting than your eyes. 11. Remember to unlock the stairs’ doors, as they may stay unlocked even if you lose your keys. (Tip from TheDarkMaddness) That is all I can think of at the moment! If you have anymore tips, please comment for others and Jack! Please keep it spoiler-free for them!!!
Can we just take the time to appreciate that small skit in the introduction of the video? Imagine the effort, planning, and the time it took to make that. Nicely done, Jack!
While it certainly was nice, and I appreciate they took the effort to make it, let's not pretend it took an enormous amount of effort, planning or time. He copied the idea from the game, so barely any time went into thinking up the concept. There was hardly any dialogue, so no line writing and memorising. So basically the only thing that had to be done well, and was done pretty well, was the camera movement.
@@Cygnet13 Yeah you do have a point you know. Not very orginal and time consuming - as expected for an intro. But it's enough effort to make a stranger like me a little bit happier.
@Savetion why are you making fun of that.. Do you hate him or something? If you are then why are you watching his vids? He loved his father why are you making fun of that? please respect him he went through a tough time when his father died..
Robin(if he still is Jack's editor) probably has the waveform open while he's watching, so he can see any spike in the audio before it comes through on the video. But yeah, it would still suck, lol
@dodgeyourmama I just wasn't sure if he was still editing for Jack or not. Better to cover my hide in case Jack had made an announcement in a video I missed or something, lol. 🤷♂️
I haven't been this scared by a video game for a really long time, it's just so much more realistic that Jimmy can find you when you're hidden and stuff like that, it's rare.
@@Stardust.Wonder Well good luck playing since the enemy AI pretty much adapts to your playstyle that makes it a whole lot terrifying. If it notices that you always hide in lockers, over time the alien would always search for lockers first. If it notices that you seem to hide always under tables, over time it would always search under tables. Just like how the Alien behaves in the movies, extremely adaptive and exceptionally cunning, the game itself tries to accurately depict that behavior and it did a pretty good job. Every alien in the game interacts differently to each player that plays the game depending on how they play it. There's a reason why the Alien AI in Alien Isolation as widely regarded is one of the best AI individual developed for a game.
I'm too chicken crap to play the damn game and I've seen Markipliers playthrough yet this game is still hecking scary to watch. This combo of live action footage and 3D environments seems exceptionally creepy.

GUYS HELP ME REACH JACK: Only use the scrying mirror in the kitchen!! using it on any other floor (e.x: floor one) Jimmy respawns on that floor even if he was previously on floor 3 let's say. Also try to avoid floor 3. It's the smallest floor and jimmy could catch u even faster.
I wouldn't say re spawn, more like summoned. Jimmy is attracted to the scrying mirror when it is in use, and therefore, summoned. Sorry, I'm that one kid who always corrects others on their grammar because that is what I was raised on.

This video was edited by the same guy who edited for unus annus, and you can kinda tell with the editing style. While I love Robin's editing, its really cool to see different videos edited by different people with different styles.
Anyone else who just finished Markiplier’s series and saw that Jack is playing this game too? If you want another tip I would suggest listening for footsteps really carefully.
If it was on the Oculus, I'd only be able to play it for 20 minutes at a time... not because it's scary, but because I get eye strain and splitting headaches after using an Oculus for too long.
Awwww Bose looked genuinely proud when he found out Jimmy was making him a sandwhich, the actor really shows that Bose was excited that he seemed to have been making progress with young Jimmy...
I’ve watched marks play through so you’d expect that I wouldn’t enjoy this, but because of the different commentary and personalities it is really fun to watch.
Jack confirmed something I suspected during Markiplier's playthrough. If you hide in the wardrobe, Jimmy doesn't grab you if you don't stop to look at the bathroom on your way out.
No. No. In his 1st attempt Jimmy never went in. In his 2nd attempt his mouse was clearly pointing straight and he wanted to go straight and he automatically turned right.
@@Axetwin 15:39 look at his mouse he clearly didnt want to and didnt accidentally do it either. It was automatic so your theory is incorrect. The only way to pass him(i read other comments) in the bathroom is if you time it properly. More proof is that in case you somehow didnt notice despite the fact 50% of moving around does this is when you want to turn around his arrow crosshair turns also to make it easier to turn around.
It doesn't matter where you look; you just can't pause at all on your way out. He paused too long, so it automatically turned him around for the beatdown

Needs more attention. I know you can start the other ghost's stories without finishing others, but it just makes more sense to finish one before starting another 😆
One thing to be aware of too Sean is that each spirit has their own path, you can ask them about each other's sightings and items and I recommend it because you get more story but overall you could clear Amy's entire story without ever speaking to Dr. Bose for example, they're all independent and the mirror will give you their steps individually so it's be like 'Amy 2nd floor. Dr Bose 1st floor" and if you're on the correct floor for Amy it'll be like, "Amy - Sword. Dr Bose 1st floor" but if you go to the first floor it'll say "Amy 2nd floor. Dr Bose, drawings" or something like that.
How to lock jimmy: If you're inside a room and Jimmy barges in while you're hiding in a closet, after a while you will hear a door close. This means he's in the bathroom, so you can hurry out of the room and lock it behind you. You lock it by bringing up your inventory and clicking the key while you're facing the right door.
@@doop6654 If OP was hiding in the bathroom, pretty sure they wouldn't say 'hearing a door close' is what means he's in the bathroom. They'd say him bashing your brains in with a baseball bat is what means he's in the bathroom.
@@SummerRocks50 It's about the timing. If you stop for 2 seconds in the door, the game will force you to turn at the bathroom, so Jimmy can kill you lol

Why watch a "scary" game play through if you are afraid of the scares? Do you just like hearing Irishmen talk more than what the game is actually about? I'll never understand you people 😂
In order to lock Jimmy in the room, wait to hide in the wardrobe until you hear the "squeak" of the room door. Then when you hear him "leave" he's in the bathroom, UNLESS you hear a faint floorboard squeak, then he actually left the room. When you go to leave the room, spam click on the room door. if you pause too long he will attack you from the bathroom. lol
