When I was a lad I saw him playing against Rangers in a pre-season friendly at Ibrox. The Rangers fans were not known for their generosity towards English players in those days, but almost 80,000 Rangers fans turned up to see this game, and they all chanted his name and they gave him a standing ovation when he left the field. I had never seen anything like it at Ibrox and I will never forget it.

I was there for the goal against Leicester in 1968, standing in the Paxton Road end. Television cameras were not present for the match against Leicester.
i was there and as a Leicester supporter i can say its the only goal i've ever been pleased to see scored against us..great shame it wasn't televised@@northlincsfox243
