I love how the character is so intensely focused on interviewing ghosts instead of helping her 3 friends escape a murderer

The way the protagonist turns her back on the corridor as she exits the rooms gives me HIGH ANXIETY.

Can we appreciate the acting in this? You can tell the actors really worked hard on the characters and their motivations. Really awesome.

I swear the ghosts acting out the scenes scares the crap out of me every damn time. You turn around and boom, they are in your face, angry. Jimmy's distant voice suddenly being close also makes me jump. This whole episode got me good. lol

Harvey is definitely one of my favorite characters. Not only is he the most intelligent character, but he was trying to do everything in his power to fix what he could. Plus, unlike Dr. Bose, he didn’t take shit from anyone.

The acting + voice acting in this game is really good. I'm impressed.

Super old series at this point but for anybody interested at 1:41 How you would make that effect, visually, is fairly simple. You render the flat scene of the man walking in the hallway to a texture each frame, and send that texture to a shader that maps it to a sphere. You can make the background any color afterwards (technically, first) and render the UI on top of it all

I love how toned-down harvey is, it's like he's just chilling in the death realm or whatever

Mark, some tips about Jimmy: He is unable to chase you in the lobby floor and the basement. He also can't follow you into the storerooms or the stairs. Those are safe places. He announces his presence on your floor with a taunt ("I smell a bad egg", or similar). He is not present on that floor until then. Like so Mark can see this. P.S. you would know all this if you watched the tutorial. which you should, anyway; it's really well made.

Mark's strategy for mystery games: guess clues randomly, then stumble on the solution by chance and say "I knew it all along! I'm a genius!"

This game is so unpredictable that I was shitting my pants whenever Maya went out a door or around a hall corner.

I’m very happy Mark got into the habit of using the mirror in the kitchen, because using the mirror actually lets jimmy know EXACTLY where you are.

FEW TIPS if the menu icon on the right bottom corner is red, then you are in danger, most likely Jimmy is in the room, knows where you are or watching you. the basement, ground floor and stairs are safe zones so you can explore all you want and not get caught by Jimmy. the higher the floor the more difficult it is, Jimmy respawns faster the higher you go, 3rd floor being the fastest. if you have a deadlock key for a room, you can lock Jimmy in there by luring (call out to him) him so he’ll come into the room, when he’s unlocking the door, you need to stand in the middle of the room with you back facing the door, wait and listen closely till he almost swings the door open then hide in the closet so he can see where you’re hiding, he will most likely hide in the bathroom and you just gotta sprint to the door and lock it behind you. it’s best if you just look ahead and don’t look behind, one of the best way to play this is just to speedrun it haha if you’re on your way to the elevator and you see Jimmy on the other end of the hallway across the elevator, just continue and quickly press the elevator, no matter how long the elevator takes to arrive on you floor, Jimmy won’t whack you. Once its open, quickly enter and press the floor and DONT look to the elevator door before pressing the floors bc he WILL get you if you do. Just quickly press the floor and you’re safe Hope this helps Mark!

Quick tips: - Jimmy can't get you on the ground floor, lower ground, or stairs. - Jimmy's spawn time goes: floor 1 > floor 2 > floor 3. (If you go to the ground floor then back up to whichever floor you need to be on, it will take a few seconds for him to respawn on the floor so if gives you a breather for a bit). - You can lock Jimmy in the guest rooms you have the deadlock key of (if Jimmy sees you hide in the closet when he enters the room, he will hide in the bathroom. If you go straight out of the door you can lock it, but if you misclick inside the room you're dead). Also if Jimmy is in the bathroom the pause button will be red so be quick! If Jimmy went back to the hallway the pause button will be white again. - When Jimmy is anywhere dangerously close to you the pause button on the bottom right of the screen turns red. This also means that you can't save as it's currently too dangerous. (It's also a good indicator for viewers to brace themselves for a jumpscare!) - Past 70% of the story Jimmy will spawn instantly on floors 1, 2, and 3 so don't hang around. (Going down to the ground floor to reset him will be useless). I hope this helps :)

I would love a prequel to this game. Where like you play as Jimmy doing all this stuff or your plying as all the people he killed.

The distortion of the halls is SPOT ON! I've been to a few resorts and you can here plates clinking (from maids delivering meals) from a few halls away! Really adds to the fear and as a warning system when you hear jimmy more clearer.
