things I would add: -people tend to go for jabs after electric (ik dumb) but f4 doesn't cover it, you can use 4 to catch them mashing an dif you get a ch you can combo into df1,4 or 1+2 into heat, when they're conditioned to not press/duck you can use f4, ff3 and mix -after connecting d2, you're +4 which means ws1 is pretty much a frame trap and can be used to continue your pressure by doing ws1,33 for plus frames, or ws1,3 and hold back for special back dash and fish for whiff punishes -f33 has the special backdash and zen cancel and a lot of people don't know the second hit is a high/can't react, mixing it with zen and backdash is really strong and its 14 frames startup which means its good for frame trapping after electrics and can be hit confirmed to f3,1 instead to go into heat or if you're on heat dash cancel by holding forward to get a combo on hit/ be plus 5 yo continue pressure -use df33 as a combo ender and hold df to go into red eyes cd and you can get cd1 on people not using quick rise and some bad options against this thing actually leads to a full combo which is always nice ty for this video im currently not in my home and can't play love your video pretty straight forward and informative, btw kazuya didnt do the punish moves on d2 situation because d2 forces crouch

Jin is my old main but coming into tekken 7 i didn't play alot with him so i focused on other characters.But now on tekken 8 i started playing with him again and your guide has helped me to understand some things further more,thank you for your time and the video,keep it up.

This was great! The full screen electric, flying kick +mixup, and toe punch after 2-4 were some gimmicks that I was missing in my gameplay. Thanks a bunch. It was frustrating playing "honest" in Purple ranks against other character gimmicks, but now I can go dumb, too.

His 1,3,4 combo isn't new. He's had it since Tekken 6. Unfortunately the last hit always gets blocked. Great Video

Didn’t finish the guide yet but I watched the first one learned the basics and a decent combo and made it all the way to vanquisher so I know this guide is about to be insane keep it up bro

I've played Jin a lot in T7 (although Devil Jin was my main) and I'm maining Jin in T8. Just wanted to say that the 1 3 4 string was already there in T7, it's not new, but still one of Jin's best poke strings! Beside that, great video man!

For the zen electric after an electric launch. There is actually a reason to do a double wavu into an electric. It's if you gauge the wall is quite far from your opponents back. It helps a little bit with wall carry. But it's a pretty small detail really

10:00 Keep in mind too, it’s not just CD2, CD1 is also really effective from this wavedash since a lot of people will try to challenge you when you move in.

You can also mash df2 after hitting an electric which I find easier than hitting the zen input for the guaranteed electric

If you do the second electric in the EWGF combo you can push your opponent forward slightly before doing it getting you greater wall carry. Just fyi

One thing I'd like to add is that there is a reason to not always do the easy electric after your cd2 launch. If you're fast at wavedashing you can use a few wavedashes before the second electric to get a little more wall carry.

Raven or Leroy! I’d be nice to go over how to use side steps to create whiffs and space. What hit confirms look like in Tekken, staggering moves, mindset on what to look for etc

121 is kind of good at times, but especially after ff3, if you have conditioned your opponent to jab after your 12 after ff3, you can edvade his jab with the 121 and shoot him up for a combo. its pretty situational but a good thing to remember when using ff3

2 4 is buffed because it no longer gives knockdown which is something that Mishimas all have. So it has other properties.

The laser geyser wall combo ender is better yes but if you get a normal wall splat you can do 2, savage sword and it does more damage

Also watch Devilster. Maybe you're not gonna be as godlike like him but you may pick up a few tricks. Also, he's fun to watch

Any tips on training the EWGF? I switched to leverless from controller but I can only get it consistently if I use 2nd positioning on the box.

Pros will use regular electric in combos because you can get better wall carry with further run up. Getting to the wall with a proper splat is far more damage even if they mess up the electric.

Nice tips. Honestly I don't use zen 4 for some reason Sorry for my 🤓 though 16:37 I'm fairly sure Jin already had this in T7 with 1>d3>4. They instead replaced his old 1>3 with this 19:00 btw dunno for sure but feel like doing run up DEWHF gives more wall carry. The most optimal one after EWHF is (whiff 1>2)>4 funnily enough but it makes micro dash b3's less consistent 21:00 geyser was optimal in T7 in most situations too. The highest damage is either 1/2 (1 for female and 2 for male) into savage sword 25:00 imo omen 3 is a better mid here. Omen 1 is slow at and doesn't give a full combo. Also omen isn't that bad at the wall since it hits mid and gives a combo....sometimes

I wonder if anyone has talked about Jin’s instant moves after back Zen canceling. b3+4 f 2 gives instant Demon Paw The f after canceling back Zen counts as ff for some reason. Same applies to other ff moves he has b3+4 f 4 instant strong pushback kick b3+4 f 3 instant axe looking kick b3+4 f f 3 instant WR kick Idk if people have already discovered this in T7 or not but I just wanted to share.

What is the strand that you do the left knee into the crouch punch in combos

19:00 there is a reason not to do it this way, and it's because 1: strengthtening your electric execution (outside of tournament play, fighting games are mostly about learning, so that improves your execution) and more importantly 2: if you do a wavedash then a deep electric, you push enemy, so if you're looking for a wall carry combo (which jin has amazing ones) then it helps you with securing that wall splat since ewhf starter combos don't carry as far as other launchers because of lack of screw also, the dash looks and feels much better imo

the reason to go for 2 electrics is to keep up the good practice. it's more reliable to go into Zen ... but we're Jins, we want to Flex our pick xD

to answer your issue with FF2's startup because of the input, i was in practice and i found out you can do FF2 pretty much instantly by doing zanshin (b3+4) > f2 immediately. plus it works with any move with an f input (ff3, ff4, etc) i also found that zen glowy eyes easy mode ewhf and etu go wayyy faster and farther than their regular honest versions (obviously at the cost of startup) because the full CD can play out since you don't need the just frame. idk if any of this is new, but with this stuff, plus the zen 1,2 cd cancel, this mfs range is actually crazy lmfao

As a Jin main in Tekken 8, there are things I appreciate about him, such as the damage he deals, although not all of it. I also like that they addressed and fixed the reach issues. However, I dislike the backflips and the one-button electrics. Perhaps it's just me, but I'm not a fan of the general simplifications of Jin, as they diminish the depth of his character. He was originally portrayed as a highly intelligent fighter in the Tekken universe, but in T8 he is appearing younger, more reckless, and less experienced, yet with significant damage potential.

Did you test if half of your pressure or the first half of your video with the zen pressure could be side stepped! It all looks susceptible to side step, the dive kick, the hell sweep etc

But how do you go into zen without being jabbed to death?

The combo that starts at 20:48, did they nerf that? Because I’m getting 86 instead of 91 damage, am I doing something too late?

I suck at electrics so for my d2 counter hit combo I do b3, b3f1, b3f1,2....easy 65 damage combo

Zen 4 is plus 2 on block so Jin can start d2 and crush jab

Man im hard suck Garyu with my Jin, because I played Jin as my main in Tekken 3, 4, 5, and Tag 1, then stopped playing Tekken for about 15 years, I know my way around Tekken with my legacy knowledge but getting out of Garyu is looking hard because everytime im almost Shinryu the game throws me against purple rank non stop and I have to climb back up the Garyu points

Good stuff. Tried some out last night but i still struggle with setting them up for a 50/50. Every time i would try to zen 4 or zen 3+4, i would get side stepped then get taken for a ride. Is there any way to use a string or frame trap into it? Any and all advice welcome.
