The fact Max even has enough footage for casual 50min Tekken 8 videos clearly shows how much fun he’s having with this game. I don’t think any of his T7 videos were this long, except Boss Rage of course.
@@arpadszabo661 For real. Tekken 7 felt like the best and worst of tekken at the same time. Bad sidestep on most the roster, all back step which was more an exploit/glitch, block with so much free value until they added broken characters like fahkumram. You have the SF of 3D fighters with an MMA like feel and make it bland. It had cool individual characters, animations so right for the fighting styles, great reps for so many countries, when sidestep did work you felt right at home, knowing they're gonna sidestep right and throwing a left hook felt good. Try talking about how other fighters or games in general handle stuff with a T7 player and it's like talking with a strive or smash bros player. I know I'm not high level but even I could feel the issues from a mile away. 8 has issues too but it feels like it's in a much better place than T7 just like SF6 is much better feeling than SF5.
Funny I just noticed that as well during the Feng match and I’ve never noticed it before - is that a new thing? My attention was drawn to it very quickly which makes me wonder if it was from an update, I feel like I would have seen it sooner🤷♂️
it's not really an area of the screen you'd be looking at much. It's less noticeable on some characters as well, such as Feng, whose portrait silhouette matches the chains quite closely.
@@LeiChaobruh I’ve already lowered my settings to accommodate, and I’ve played plenty of online matches where the gameplay was fine, so I doubt my graphics are the issue. I also don’t think it’s fair to assess connection when you weren’t one of the players in the match in the first place.
I’m a drag main and I just made it to fujin before nerf after nerf started playing again and blue players are absolutely insane once you get into any new rank you’ll see the skill of players rise exponentially
As a Jin main, i can only warn you, bud. The skill gap right now for you is nothing. Once you reach battle ruler and start fighting fujin and raijin players, you'll realize just how easy the red ranks and the first 2 purple ranks are. Especially for us Jin players.
@@uchihasasuke3356 Everyone knows the Jin matchup by those ranks and high crushes are way more commonly utilized so his strong jab combo becomes a liability. Unfortunately, his jab combo is extremely effective at lower ranks so people get completely blind sided when it feels useless out of nowhere. As a matter of fact I started using Lili's high crush crumble specifically from fighting Mishima players.
Though I have not made it this far as Reina only making it to only Warrior thus far (vs other players the CPU are too weak for me to count them properly.) I am playing Tekken 8 every day good to see you too are still having fun with this game despite its rough start I've seen it have. I still like playing Tekken 8...despite the fact I'm not used to Tekken yet entirely. Tekken 8 remains one of my top priority games at the moment despite the fact I'm not yet fantastic at it.
The Nina match is Tekken ranked in a nutshell. Defense is so scary in this game that people would rather keep attacking at any cost than risk losing their turn. Finishes every string, crouch jabs, heat burst as soon as Max gets his turn back. Sad thing is this actually works all the way up to blue ranks.
That ground pound the Kazuya was catching you with can be punished with F1+2 after block for a meaty piece of damage, I think its about 45 DMG. Literally free damage on block
I’ve been on the cusp of Mighty Ruler for a few days now. I only get to play a few hours a week. I’m aiming to get Tekken King before I feel like I’m actually good at Tekken 😂
Notice that even on a 4090 (I assume max has one) that Tekken 8 reports problems with his performance on the icons in the corner. Same places mine does it on a 3080 12gb. I’m even using DLSS Quality @ 1440p just to reduce power draw and temps. Wonder why it does that?
In case you mean the one right before the Intro when he's fighting a Dragunov its: Tekken Tag 1's Xiaoyu's Theme (Playstation Version). And if you are referring to the one IN the Intro, then its: Tekken 8 Arena Stage Theme (First Round)
7:45 Thats how I feel fighting the top 10 characters, as I like to call them. The 4 Mishima's (except maybe Kazuya), Bryan, Law, Jun, Lee, Lili and Eddy. Add Xiaoyu or Victor if no Kazuya. Those are the 10 I see the most and as far as I've seen, just auto dodge your attacks the most.
I play a little game watching these videos: guess which players don't rematch. I think I'm quite good at it... There's something about the way some people play that you can just tell. That Nina surprised me though!
Hold the df input after it to go into breaking step, then immediately press 1. Its not a guranteed hit but so few people know how to properly get counter it that you might as well staple it.
In these ranks (even in blue ranks and higher tbh) like most ppl fall for zen u1 u should use it more often when u see them getting aggressive or spamming highs , but be careful as it's launch punishable but trust me most ppl don't punish u xd
If you mean his first day of playing Jin, then no. The matches in this video are from Max's second session of ranking up with Jin, back around the beginning of April. Max has since switched to playing with Lars in more recent Tekken streams.
I gotta disagree slightly with max on one and doneing people even the main man a tekken pro will one and done xiaoyu. Some characters are just not worth your time to actually learn the matchup. Kuma xiaoyu are characters your barely going to fight and they are peak fucking annoying. Dont let those kinds of characters ruin your experience.
