🔥Great reaction, love Jinjer and Mediator! Love Tatiana's lyrics here: "Wish I could catch god by the beard And drag him to the dirty streets To show him what was going on The kind of curse we've waged upon" Rightfully angry at the state of the world and those who brought us to this point (the gods if you believe in any, otherwise the capitalist ruling class). Between the cross made of diamonds and her hand gesture indicating money during the last line, "what do we have to do to get a piece of you", I think she's talking about how money is the god of that ruling class. Thank you always for bringing more fantastic Jinjer music to more people! ❤🖤🤘

I think you're right, if you want to go nuts at a Jinjer concert and you don't know the songs it's like when you talk to a person in the cinema during an ad and it suddenly stops and you're basically screaming into a quiet room 😅 I feel like a lot of metal bands don't pull their punches with their releases at the moment. Trivium, Bullet for my Valentine, Machine Head, Jinjer, they're all super heavy or fast. I like it. Probably a lot of pent up energy from the lockdowns 😄

They’re very fond of those little A B A B 8-bar transitions (2:30-ish to 2:46) and I really dig that. They take their time and sit in a musical idea for a while.

Yeah, pretty much spot-on for how I feel, but hadn't yet figured out how to articulate. Thanks, Josh! I disliked this one at first, but it's grown on me, which happens with a lot of Jinjer songs if I'm honest. Now, after studying the lyrics and a good few dozen listens, I actually think it's incredible! But it's definitely an outlier. I _hope_ the remainder of the album has at least a few more straightforward ass-kickers, and more of the sort of smooth building arc of Vortex. I'm glad this song exists, for sure! But let's be honest, it's never gonna be a radio hit or a mainstay of the album, so it's a _bit_ of an odd choice for the second single. Then again, Napalm seems to pour money and PR onto their bands for video production, so maybe they simply intend to do a video for every single song like they have for... heh. Well, Micro and Macro, really, didn't they? Pretty close anyway. **goes to check** Ah, close, yeah. No official video for Pausing Death or Dreadful Moments, or the two outro pieces, Micro and Liannerep, of course. Still, 9 out of 11 is some _serious_ commitment to video production! I cannot _wait_ for Wallflowers to come out! OMG I wish I could see them live in December!

I think my only complaint about the two new tracks is actually that Eugene is a bit hidden in the mix. You have to really listen in to hear what he's doing, as opposed to how prominent he was in their other songs. Other than that, the whole band is just killing it. Tati is better than ever, Vlad is a beast, and Roman is the unsung hero of this album IMO.

I think that bass was about right in Vortex, but I agree it's too low in the mix on this one. This is a *great* tune, though.

@@hemlock399 A few people have had positive comments about the bass in this. Those who appreciate and listen out for it still get a treat, but yup, there's so much going on here and why not let the guitar have a nice song at the front - it's excellent here.

Its a chaotic song. I've digested it now after hearing it about 15 times. I like the first half better when Tatiana provides some grounding to the song with her clean melodic vocals. Not my fav Jinjer song overall. Just my taste. Tatiana's vocal melodies after about 4-5 listens really started to grow on me though, thank god for her in this band to again ground them, so the first half of the song was great, after that it got confusing and fell apart for me. Sounds a lot like the Prophecy in parts. Which is also not my fav song from them. Hearing this song live will be quite interesting though. I will get my chance this October!

So I'm gonna be the odd ball out. I just can't make my self like this song. Reminds me to much of 80's thrash metal speed trash. Other than Tati being in this song, it's a miss and hard pass from me.
