The fact that she still believed Vi would come for her, even after all the years. After everything shes done...its amazing. She held onto the flare for so long. The last hope she had was Vi.
She never lost hope for Vi to find her. After all, hope is the last beacon of life that extinguishes. She was holding onto that so badly that it wasn't Jinx who lighted it up, it was Powder.
Detail thats easy to spot in this scene is that Mylo and Claggors ghosts aren't portrayed as lively. They're frozen in the same position with the same expression they both had at the time of their deaths.
This show had no right to be this fucking good. I was VERY skeptical going into it but its visually and atmospherically the best show of the year for me by a mile. Amazing work.
I've seen invincible, amazing, brutal and great story, arcane the same which I have to say arcane with the look and not being a superhero show since endgame made me lose interest in the genre
0:41 Look at Mylo and Claggor’s faces. When Mylo first appears it looks like he is screaming in agony, but after seeing Claggor’s lifeless eyes and the fatal wound on Mylo’s chest, you quickly realized that those are their corpses. Those were exactly how their dead bodies look like. Claggor’s eyes always give me chills. Soulless, no life, ice cold. Like the eyes of a person who’s been drowned and frozen in the deepest ice ocean. Imagine seeing those faces every time you close your eyes (like Jink did at 0:41) it’s almost impossible not to go insane.
This was actually a really humanising moment for Silco, we haven't seen him actually fail since his introduction. Shows how bad he as at dealing with proper failure
It also shows that failure related to Jinx is a real emotional trigger for him. I really believe Vi only really matters to him because of the potential she has to steal Jinx from him.
The way he shoves the guy so hard that he himself ends up falling backwards. It looks incredible. So much raw emotion and anger. Whatever the animators were paid, it wasn't enough.
@@cormyat07 I think it's more than that; at this point, he only knew what Jinx and Marcus told him: Jinx told him that Vi abandoned her and Marcus told him that Vi died. He just found out Marcus lied to him, he has no idea that Vi wants to reconcile with Jinx, and when he found her, she blamed him for Powder becoming Jinx. It's not just that he thinks she might steal Jinx from him; it's that he thinks her reuniting with Jinx would be bad for Jinx. The only other time he gets this furious is the moment when Vi tells Jinx to remember Mylo, Clagger, and Vander; names and faces that are a source of trauma for Jinx and cause her to break down, which would suggest that his anger is rooted at least partially in protective instinct.
Its amazing how Silco almost convinced Jinx to abandon Powder and her old self, her sister and everything but after Jinx found out Vi is alive and looking for her from Sevika....she used the flare as her last hope, last try, and when the flare burned out and Vi wasnt there yet...Jinx almost gave up and probably would really kill Powder inside her at that moment....but then Vi appeared...its so f-king good
After everything she been through, I really want to give her a hug. In fact, everyone in this tragic story deserve a hug (except for the corrupt council they can go rot in hell)
Everyone was skeptical.. "Yet another game adaptation.. it will be terrible". Yet I'm sitting here in love with this show, reading multiple 10/10 reviews that call this show a MASTERPIECE and it is.
I can't stop rewatching these scenes: 1. Vi leaving Powder 2. Jinx lights flare 3. Jinx vs Ekko 4. Jinx tea party 5. Jayce and Vi vs soldiers The artwork, the music, the story, the drama. Just perfection I am really hoping for a positive outcome for Jinx and Vi as sisters but it seems like it will not end well for them that bites :(
According to Legends of Runeterra lore, Jinx and Vi do eventually sort things out but Jinx remains insane and actively terrorizes Piltover with bombs on the daily.
This scene was so good, idk how they were able to beautifully communicate the guilt a 9 year old has felt for accidentally killing her friends, possibly trying to cope by putting the anger she feels for herself on her sister while still loving her even after all that's happened. Wp riot.
This scene wont escape my mind at all after I finished this episode, I even had to rewatch it with my friend because of how beautiful this scene was to me, the emotion, the music, the visuals, everything about this was just perfection, league has no right to make a show this fucking amazing. I had this show rewatched twice already and the full show isnt even out yet, I literally am in love with this shit.

This was the most powerful scene in the entire show for me. It is so well directed. The music drop, the colors, and that one moment where Cait and Vi climb through a tube and it cuts to a guard loading two bullets into his rifle - they ARE the bullets; symbolism that they are a threat to Jinx and Zaun, and yet she still calls out to them... I open mouth sobbed like a baby at this scene.
This scene gave me chills. While Jinx was standing up top with the orb in one hand and the flare in the other (even after everything she's been through)... Powder still called out for her sister.
I don’t know why I love Silko’s rage so much in this scene. Just seeing how mad he is knowing that the one thing that could take Jinx away from him escaped his trap is shocking knowing how calm and collected he usually is. This truly shows how much he really loves Jinx.
Jinx is carrying their deaths with her, literally on her back. Milo is screaming in pain because he was impaled and coherent when he saw the roof collapse on him, while Claggor was unconscious hence his calm expression.
As someone who is the oldest with a sister who reminds her a bit too much of jinx, this scene had me sobbing. Even throughout all the pain she went through she lit the flare, because she loves and misses vi *that* much despite the pain, despite the loneliness and despite the trauma. Vi goes to her immediately when she sees the flare because she loves powder *that* much, despite the explosion, despite everything it is love at its truest form. Now when my sister goes into a bad place I hold her hand and tell her that I'd light the blue flare despite all the pain for her. She now answers back that she would light the flare for me too. We both always get a bit teary saying it to each other. Thank you arcane, thank you.
So many things to say about this scene but the visualization of guilt in her friends' frozen in time faces is trully spine shivering. Master storytellers kudos to the entire team

God Silco is such a good fucking villain, the way he express's his frustration and anger to the point he falls over drunk in his rage, and the scream because he knows exactly what will happen since Vi got away. He's Smart but there was no "Gotcha moments" like every other villain. By the end all he wanted was Jinx to realize that she is "perfect". In the end Jinx carried on his legacy and "showed them all"
ngl, this scene makes me want to cry almost every time. This is a true symbolic sisterhood, after being parted for so long, that flare was what brought them together. That flare was a symbol of "Hope" every last ounce of Hope that the two of those sisters had left, and that's what helped them find each other. That is so incredible, it's beautiful.
So, I absolutely love this scene bc it is a perfect example of how well this show uses it's soundtrack. But also, omg, Everytime I see the part where it shows Mylo, it looks like he's BELTING the song, and it makes me laugh, Everytime 😂
This scene is always so chillingly good- from Jinx's resigned yet hopeful expression to Vi and Caitlyn running away from an angry Silco to Mylo and Claggor's faces. Everything just ties together so well visually and the music- god, the MUSIC, I can't help but feel like the team behind Arcane meant for one of the lingering, longer notes in the vocals to sync up so PERFECTLY with Mylo and Claggor's appearances (specifically Mylo, whose mouth is open in what looks like a wail) during the 360 view of Jinx- it's hauntingly beautiful I can't wait till season 2 comes out because this season absolutely destroyed me in the best ways- plot, visuals, voices, soundtrack, EVERYTHING was amazing to watch
Everyone is talking about the subtle detail of Mylo and Claggor's death faces, can we talk about the detail of being able to SEE THE PHOSPHORS IN THE ENFORCER'S FLOODLIGHTS AT 1:01 FLUORESCING?!
This scene was so rich. I was constantly afraid that Violet wasn't going to see that flare and i was rooting for Jinx to make peace with her Sister by lighting that flare and hoping she'd come.. wich would have almost worked out.
Honestly this money is so beautiful to me. Jinx’s hope that Vi would come find her, and Mylo and Claggor behind her while she was holding up the flare- That part honestly shocked me a bit at first just because of how well placed it was. Amazing.
i noticed that jinx is the same height as mylo and claggor in the part where their ghosts appear next to her.. reminds me of how in the beginning after the street fight, powder says "you wouldn't get it! you're older, and bigger," or something along those lines. she's the same size/maybe age as they were then now.
I haven't seen a show this phenomenal in a very, very long time. The shock factor it had was intense and so well done. This deserves a ridiculous amount of awards.
I dont know why, but I absolutely love how Vi is running for her life as she is being chased by the goons of the man who runs those streets. Runs into someone else. Stops to yell at them Pushes them and then pulls the middle finger on him
1:09 thats Dan Reynolds (Imagine Dragons vocalist) character!! if Vi hadnt of bumped into him, she probably wouldnt have noticed the flare, meaning Imagine Dragons are very much responsible for everything that happens after this scene.
One of many of vis failure to save what was left of powder…who could blame jinx for taking over after all the trauma powder experienced and is still experiencing with her psychosis

I had no idea what this show was about, and no real interest to watch. I had heard good things about the animation so I gave episode 1 a watch. I don’t think any show has gotten me hooked faster, or made me cry harder. I can’t wait for season 2.
I never would have watched this show on my own time honestly, if one of my friends didn't force me to watch it, I wouldn't of and I cant believe i almost missed out on this. This is now one of my favorite shows
My God....6 watches for me beginning to end and this scene still absolutely destroys me....this is easily THE most epic scene in recent cinematic history, and it's a cartoon. A true cinematic masterpiece.

This scene was next level in terms of artistry and using music to beautiful dramatic effect. The emotional impact put into this eclipsed MOST anything on screen today
