@@GS-zc4sk I don't know why you replied to me... It's a short range strategy only because of our current societal norms. Its not really meant to be a lifestyle, anyway. But calling it short term at best is a bit silly and simple minded
This right here. A lot of people think look towards the genetics of the race of people. I look towards culture, if his family lineage was eating pasta and doing hard manual labor. I’d bet that and his consistency of the diet allows him to feel great. Good for him, that smile is worth every thing💪
he’s not an assassin, He’s die in a real fight against a full grown man, You cant qualify as an assassin if anyone with decent punch power nd full grown man size can ko you, Midget divisions in Martial Arts nd boxing are for entertainment only
I don’t agree with the diet but I can understand that it works for him since his weight class is 125. So he’s not trying to bulk. He eats a lot of food all at once.
Not only does he crush the stereotype that a dude that looks "geeky" can't fuck you up, but he has a pure soul and he smiles with innocence and from what I see, he smiles from the heart.
He really is the anti Rogan cult. He is nice, kind and not aggressive. And isn't all meat and testosterone. Yet he is a top level martial artist and is fit as fuck
@@Doomsday604 he is 1 out of 1.000.000. Good luck trying his diet and expecting same “results”, which I personally don’t really like either. I actually don’t see any result at all. And to all those saying he is strong etc: he plays a sport! That’s not even remotely alike real combat.
@@BARATTI99 you think a basic diet. Which meets caloric and dietary needs would be hard to follow and receive results from? Sure bud. Only North Americans constantly stuff there face every couple hours as a means of survival and sustenance
@@BARATTI99 he said he eats 7000 kcal ( i think it was only one day but he usually eat on average 3500-5000 kcal), if it is true and not exagerated i would assume he would easily get 150-200 gramme of protein and 100-200 gramme of fat. Which is enough in term if macro .
When he said his grandma taught him how to make pizza and that she passed away 4 months prior, it was the only time he wasn't smiling in this whole vide. You could tell it hurt. Also, not many people realize how balanced a homemade pizza can be. Homemade being the key word. This guy reminds me of those old school Italian men that worked their butts off as masons on nothing but espressos and cigarettes and then would come home and eat two bowls of spaghetti and a loaf of bread.
As a New Yorker, it saddens me that the first thing people think of when they hear “pizza” is domino’s. Edit: You know you did good when you’ve triggered some people with your comment.
he really is a great person. I've seen some of his competitions with fuckin high-level dudes and even when Mikey completely dominates them, he shows so much respect to them. I recommend watching him. This kids so damn good.
Mah mans named Mikey, he Loves Pizza, Always Smiling and happy and is a Champion Martial Artist. Dude is like if the Ninja Turtle became human haha Mad respect & love this dude's chill vibe about the whole thing
@@mido1459 I’ve been wrestling for 20 years. Laying on your back has NOTHING to do with wrestling😂 Mikey would get ragdolled by a good high school wrestler no disrespect to him
It's so refreshing to see this young man,who embraces his individuality, trains hard,is a incredible BJJ Practioner! ( He has fought the best& in a open class) and retaibs such a humble& positive mindset! And he doesn't take himself to seriously! It's most unusual!!
love how this kid geeks out when he talks about his pizza oven. So awesome to see such happiness pizza and jiujitsu brings to this world. Stay awesome kid!
This was the most refreshing JRE podcast in a while, I love my braniacs and conspiracy theorists but this guy who's been training and disciplining all his life 100% focused and in love of what he does, his pure soul radiates and I cannot help but smile watching and listening to him.
Most of the people Joe Rogan has on the podcast hits this exact way. Yeah maybe you won't like what they have to say but someone else will they're that enthusiastic about it and love what they had to say.
@@ghostwritinggoat3342 Not putting anyone down, I really love the diversity of people Joe brings to his podcast, and I love anyone who's passionate and dedicated to his craft. Andrew Huberman for example is one of my favorite guests, he also has an inner science geek he cannot help to contain which I equally love, but it feels very different from Mikey's.
down to earth people with unique interests n comedians are what make JRE good, the tards he's been getting notoriety from for the last however long though... christ.. Jones is funny when people aren't trying to deconstruct his shit no matter which side of the fence they land on
Y would he what hes doing is clearly working if other interfere they might ruin how things work because at the end of the day people dont ACTUALLY know how it works
Most martial arts dudes look badass or at least try to and this guy comes with absolutely nothing but his true kind self. Love it! Makes me respect his abilities even more.
I met and competed against Mikey and I couldn't believe how strong he was and he just rolled everyone up and is the nicest person he's always smiling it's like Charles Oliveira like how can someone so positive be so violent
My coach actually had him over for a seminar when I was younger and he was so humble and awesome during the seminar. He’s a really chill dude, I have super high regards for him.
@@Andy_Classic "I'm rubber and you're glue, whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you". A phrase kids in the 90s growing up would say during confrontation. In other words the guy seems to be the embodiment of "you can't bother me". Got it?
@@hastalava5532 you can't know anything about it but if I can get a hold up you will be doing 💯 for the weekend so you don't need to get a checkmark or something and don't have a website to do that much better than what.
If he’s making his own pizza then it can be pretty healthy actually. Hand made dough, olive oil, cheese and veggies. He’s a professional athelete so the extra calories aren’t a big deal, and fasting has many scientifically proven benefits.
You would have to reduce the amount of calories. I follow the same diet (only eat once per day late at night), and it really helps keeping your weight stable.
More like exploded his brain/belief systems. No matter how many high functioning, super athlete vegetarians or vegans Rogan meets, it seems he will always seem to have the belief that meat is not only good but necessary for good health. Not that Mikey Musumeci is fully vegetarian by any means. He said quite clearly that when not training hard, he does eat some meat.
@@justinw1765 Until the best athlete is a vegetarian/vegan in their sport you cant convince me its superior. When you have vegan Usain Bolt we can talk.
@@Mas-ij3ti If you understand statistics, then you would understand that since there are far, far fewer vegan and vegetarian athletes, there is far less chance of them holding as many top positions. There is just not a large enough pool there. With that said, there certainly have been some pretty impressive athletes who ate vegan. Speaking of Bolt, ever hear of a guy named Carl Lewis... Seems you haven't looked much into the subject.
@@justinw1765 If it was more beneficial to be vegan/vegetarian the pool of athletes that were vegans/vegetarians would be larger than the meat eating pool. Seems like you know nothing about the subject lil bro.
Even when he was somber, talking about his grandmother passing, his voice changed, but he never stopped smiling. His smile got bright again as you knew he was reflecting on good memories with his Grandmother.
@@jamesburrell6285 I agree.. most often times fighters are very well trained so don’t have anything to prove and know what it’s like to be tapped out or hit hard so for the most part humble in nature. Also usually tired af from training hard and have no energy to be negative lol
Javon Walton is another really inspiring young person, he does boxing, gymnastics, and acted in the show euphoria. I think the kid is going to be a super star.
That's a carb high don't follow this kid into the abyss. If you're an adult or a kid listening to this shit do not get tempted to be inspired. You'll be shocked how bad this diet is long term
@@Twatnuggies he only eats once a day, makes all his own pizza, and trains 24/7. I'd be more concerned for his health if he wasn't eating something high in carbs.
@@Twatnuggies he fasts every day and trains every day. that overshadows the "evil carbs" tenfold. you'll be shocked how bad eating "healthy" but being sedentary all day is long term. fasting + movement = long term health.
Love this guy. So positive, made me smile the whole time. It’s funny that it made Joe so confused that this guy performs so well just eating 95% carbs and the protein he gets is cheese, haha.
Mikey made this podcast so, so easily to watch. Not one time did I think Mikey was full of it. I think it was the smile and absolute happiness he showed and talk about in his life.
That's right! It's the persona! Maybe in the inside he is not as happy. I'm always joking, smiling and the sort, but inside I feel like shet. When I'm alone I feel like shit too. So... maybe he is not that happy... BUT I HOPE HE IS because he sounds and looks so geniunely a good guy
@@g32.recitales Yesssir, I can't tell if this is him 100% or if this is just him right now because this is what he's doing and he doesn't know anything else, which is not good. Also personally, G32, I hope you find your way out of that rut, I know what that feels like and I can't say I've beat that feeling but I control it a lot better now. I deal with anxiety and depression. I don't take medication, I deal with it naturally. I first stopped doing drugs and using substances, very important. I then started giving myself tasks or goals for each day, I keep myself occupied, I've picked up reading as a hobby, I've started to practice cooking... This kid is so excited about everything. I think he’ll be a great BJJ professor after his competitive career, he already reminds me of one of those really exciting teachers

He doesn't really get anyone who challenges his lifestyle on the podcast. At least not as many those who reaffirm him. So he's obviously going to be very pro-meat.
@@Kurtis11266 - Present day Joe Rogan is criticised rarely on podacasts when it comes to political and philosophical views. His views on hunting and meat consumption are all-in-all bass ackwards. Its demonstrates that he's never had his arguments challenged by anyone competent enough to call him out on them. I've never heard a hunting argument from him that isn't formed by talking into an echo chamber. I don't think I ever will.
@@Yadanisss - "In the U.S., conservation is implemented by many entities, including federal, state and local agencies, private landowners, businesses and non-profits. Taken as a whole, the non-hunting public contributes far more financially than hunters and anglers to conservation activities undertaken collectively by these entities." - One google search... Oh look. You're wrong. If only Joe Rogan's ideas were challenged on podcast. Or maybe if you weren't to accept them wholly unchallenged. I mean, one of the goals for lots of vegans like Earthling Ed is to turn the land that is wasted through animal agricultural back into wild land. Anything hunters are doing in relation to wildlife conservation isn't by choice but in order to survive. They're greenwashing. If hunters did have a care for wildlife. They wouldn't intervene by shooting them unnaturally.

@Tom likewise this dude wouldnt possibly have his same diet if he was training for anything above that 125-130 lb mark he set. He would be exhausted throughout the day if he ate like he does and stayed vegan... at 20 lbs heavier.
@@nom6758 he's just genetically a small dude. I trained 5-6 hours a day when I competed and ate like this and I was 176 pounds. It's still 6-7k calories. Georges St Pierre just eats one really big meal a day early in the afternoon and he's 200 lbs.
Joe couldn't believe it. Anything that goes against his meat heavy ancestor diet baffles him. It's Joe's most irritating quality. He's worse than vegans.
Actually before watching this video, I found out once a day eating is the best for me. Whenever i've done it, I feel exactly like what he says -clear head -feeling light -more focus etc...when I went back to eating 2-3x a day it's like i'm never satisfied. I always feel like I overeat. Fasting is the best way i've found to control my overeating.
The term never judge a book by its cover is literally tailor made for this boy. An elite world champion athlete and he might be the happiest person I've seen on a Joe Rogan podcast. You look at him too and I'm by no means disrespecting him when I say this......but if a fight broke out somewhere you wouldn't think he'd be much trouble for a lot of guys but he'd be able to have you tied up in knots on the deck in seconds. Fights don’t go to the ground and if they do jitsu guy kicked in the face by the bros is game over. Also jitsu no chance against a true striker w power only takes one clean shot. This kid has no chin
He's only 25. My theory and experience: If you're under about 40 and very, very, very active, you can eat whatever you want. EDIT, for all the people who say they are young and still can eat whatever they want, I am referring to people who do high intensity workouts and trainings for about 6+ hours a day.
yup Floyd Mayweather's chef said something like Floyd would literally eat whatever he wants and not gain weight. And Floyd eats a lot of sweets, drinks soda, etc. lol but I'm sure he had some healthy things in his diet too
