JJ. I am a grandmother of an autistic nonverbal 3 yr old. Your music calms him down and helps him to fall asleep every night. While he was in the hospital the nurses played your music. It not only calmed him but his mother. Thank you so much for your music and ministry.

My oldest son got married on Saturday, and this is the song I danced to with him for our mother/son dance. It was absolutely perfect. My son had asked me for suggestions for a song for us to dance to, because he was having a hard time finding one he liked. I set out looking for one and somehow stumbled upon this one. He and my daughter-in-law had asked me to do the prayer before dinner at their wedding, and the Lord had told me weeks ago to pray His blessing over them, so I already knew I was going to pray "The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord turn His face toward you, and give you peace." So, when I listened to this song and heard that blessing in it, I knew right away it was the perfect song for us to dance to. Thank you for making such beautiful music. No matter how old our children get, we never stop seeing them as our babies. Now I know for sure that it wasn't accidental, it was exactly the song God intended for us to dance to. I am so thrilled to see there is a book to go along with this song too. You can be sure it will be a gift for my first grandchild, whenever they have him or her.💗

I miss my mum. It's been almost 10 years, but it never gets easier. There is nothing like a mother's love. The day before she died, I wasn't well, but, despite her own illness, her last words to me were "are you feeling better?", and when I said yes, she said "good", and never spoke again. I'll soon be 65, but I'm not ashamed to write that this song has made me cry, not for sorrow, but for the memories that i have of my mother's love. God bless you mum, and God bless JJ Heller.

this is my mothers RU-vid name I'm responding in, I'm her son who found this song dedicated to mothers. I lost my mom june.5 2023 before my June 13 birthday. this song helps me appreciate what my mother has always done for me and all the sacrifices she has made. I've learned to appreciate what mothers like mine have done for their kids, especially as a single parent. just like what fathers do, at least the ones who are there for there families and visa versa who put in the effort. this is the perfect song, especially for people who have had a close relationship with the ones who gave them life. I teared up when I first heard this song, but I full on cried while watching the video! I had always heard that your life will change when you become a mom/parent. But I didn't know in what way and just how much it would change. I thought I knew love, until I had my little boy. But then love took on a whole new and different meaning. While I love my son more than anything, it does hurt my heart a little when he prefers my husband over me. He has always been a daddy's boy, but it seems he is getting even more so a daddy's boy. He'll throw a huge fit if I check on him when he cries during the night, and an even bigger fit if I try to comfort him instead of daddy if he falls/gets hurt. My husband had to do almost everything right after I had our son, so I figure that's where they bonded more than he and I. I'm not sure. I had to have a c-section and while it went fine, I had a pretty rough recovery. So I wasn't able to do much of anything other than nurse. I keep hoping that it'll get better. Either I stop feeling so hurt or that he starts becoming a mommy's boy just a little bit. I don't know if that's selfish, or silly, but it's the truth. Back to this song... even though my little guy is such a huge daddy's boy, mommy's love doesn't falter or fade away. I can pretty much agree with everything JJ sings about in this song. No matter what, I will always be there for my little one (hopefully one day to make that plural). So thank you JJ for this beautiful song and this beautiful video!

Don't worry so much... Your baby boy loves you. Im so sure... Give yourself a break, it isn't easy to go through a C Section. You are so Blessed your husband understood you and your needs, gave you space to heal. As for your baby boy, you will see the bond grow between the both of you. The same thing happened to me. Now we have reached a point where I can't even use the toilet without my son running after me and crying because he doesn't want me to leave😂

There is nothing like a son's bond with his mom, its there and you are the absolute best for your son. The day is going to come when his love overcomes you.... in the meantime keep being patient, play with him a little, be his friend, join in with the games with dad, have fun.... these moments are everything.

Childhood is brief and fleeting. Carefree, fun and happy. Every child has the right to play and to live out his/her childhood. Asian new generation parents are starting to realize the benefit of play. Nature is free .. ditch the gadgets and “paid amusement parks” .. play can start from just simple daily things like pots and pans .. not expensive toys from the stores. This song reminds me of my kids when small .. full of carefree life in the many parks and by the lakes in Suzhou, China.... a cultural city still pure and unblemished by controlled modernization.

I have only listened to one song so far, Hand to Hold and I was in tears by the end...thank you for sharing your gift with us. I'm blessed to be mama to several children. Im also terminally ill & I have been working on creating playlists, advice, thoughts etc. for each of my beloved children to lift them up when I'm no longer physically here with them. I apologize for the rambling here...today you have blessed my life by helping me have another resource that I have not been able to find, until today. Thank you for helping me to express the depths of my love, to each of my precious love's as they grow and walk their paths in this life. I have 9. Felt terror every time. Of my 8 I only planned the timing of a couple. I lost one at 15 weeks. That one little lost one taught me to treasure motherhood. I still get scared every time. But every child my life is more complete and I develop characteristics that I’m so thankful they brought out of me. I never regretted one. I don’t know why it’s so fearful for some of us. But those feelings are real and you are loved. It’s ok to be afraid it’s huge to be a momma. 💕

My son is getting married september 1st. I put off finding a song (forgot actually) and I needed to find a song by August 1. On July 4th I was with his older sister in the car listening to songs listed on a "150 songs for mother son dances" article. While listening to one, your song was listed as a "recommendation" next. I started to play it....almost didn't....and immediately was touched! The melody, easy going nature, description of childhood and wish from a mother to her child....son, in my case....was perfect. I had been through about 20 songs already and knew I would know the song when it made me tear up. Well, the song, along with the video, had me bawling. When you become an empty nester and mom to adult children, life changes dramatically. It's very tough not being their center of attention and even more difficult when their new center of attention pushes you away. I'm praying your song "Hand To Hold" helps them, their friends and families see that I'm not a "monster in law" and am just misunderstood. Thank you for helping me love on my "little boy" one last time before he walks off into eternity with another woman in the primary role in his life. I pray the Lord has healing and a brighter future for our relationships, but even if that's not meant to be, this song will make me feel like I gave it a wonderful release into the next chapter that is his life. I'm subscribed and will share you with everyone I know after Sept 1. For now, you and your blessings and talent are my little secret! Thank you....mother to mother! 💞

i first heard this song last year from one of my volleyball coaches and I think my mathteacher but I really like this song. i reminds me of my mom when you got no one else's hand to hold then you will always have your moms hand or your close friends.

i’m 14 years old. and reading all these comments makes me not want to college. although me and my parents don’t get along most of the time i really am going to miss them when i leave in 4 years :( i miss being a little kid and my worries were scratching my knees and the coloring page i got for homework in kindergarten 🥺. ive also gotten closer to the lord in the past 2 years. my parents grew up in church but didn’t bring me and my sister to church. sometimes i wish they did so i always had god to hold my hand

This is so beautiful it makes me feel emotions for when I’m older of having the hardest job on earth but I’m always never afraid a getting that job the job of of being a mom and married and making a family of my own. I hope my dreams do come true. Your songs make me feel this way and I love it.
