@@AndrewFenichel Technical skills (Xs and Os) and knowledge is most important when it comes to coaching but I feel like creating a good locker environment is a small but crucial aspect of a good coach.
Good vibes is seeking him short. The raptors went from insane iso heavy ball last year to having the most assists in franchise history this year. Completely transformed the offence to fit scottie better
I might just be a biased Jazz fan but I think Will Hardy is one of the best coaches in the league. We don’t get Lauri Markannen’s breakout year without Hardy’s offensive philosophy
To be fair, no one considers Monty Williams the worst coach last year but merely the coach on the worst team. He should get other offers easily this offseason.
@@GavinMcCandlesshe’s still a good coach, he’s really not talking about his winning because the spurs have like 2 up and coming players that have real talent
Requirements for being a lakers coach: Have a podcast with LeBron Let LeBron be the coach every game Agree to focus on developing Bronny James when he gets drafted
Darko is pretty good if u ask me, he’s knows how to develop young players (IQ and Barrett both played better when they got there, scottie turned into an all star) turned the raptors into a pass first style offense, and he wins the locker room with the guys. he does have his issues in the lineup rotation tho
coaches shouldn’t be “yes men” or just give off “good vibes” to their players to be labeled a good coach. No. A GOOD coach is one that maximizes the potential of their team and players by confronting the problem up front with constructive criticism and elevate their team.
@@GregTurismo because we obviously all consider Pop a great coach because of his time on a great team coaching multiple hall of famers. The point was to give me a head coach you think is good despite not having good players and removing that variable like are we sure Pop is still a good coaxh in today's NBA? give me one reason Pop is still a good coach
@@AndrewFenichel Yeah I suppose. I guess we also could outlaw coaches of any kind and see who's team would be the best just on playing. It seems to result in the same thing, as in the coach either has no real power or blamed for it anyway. I'm not a coach so I can't give you a reason why anyone is or is not a good coach. Case in point, Monty Williams.
Erik spoelstra, I promise you even as a heat fan, if you take the heat roster and put them under any under coach they wouldn't have made the finals so frequently, and possibly wouldn't even make the playoffs.
I think the Jazz have a good head coach, that team should be a 1st pick contender but he refuses to tank and he got Lauri Markkanen to be the version we all expected him to be. The Jazz still suck but Will Hardy continues to be a bright spot
He’s going to keep fading he got his success from his motor and that will slow with age. His defense is better than last year in Toronto but nothing compared to his All-NBA season
@maxwellsings Coaching college basketball vs. NBA basketball is entirely different. Someone can be a great college coach and not be a good NBA coach. Billy Donovan isn't a bad NBA coach, but he certainly isn't the championship coach that he was in the NCAA.
