This sounds so good. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't realize that is impossible to capture good sound over the phone via RU-vid. This actually sounds REALLY fucking good
I love it. Need to get my W7 back in service. My fav subwoofer by far. I have yet to hear anything hit harder and produce cleaner bass than JL. It will tear your ride apart.
@@seankiesling2054 you’re a casual who doesn’t actually know anything lol I won’t bother going into every other complicated spec for you since you wouldn’t understand but even you should figure out what’s better? A sub that can push 2000 rms or a sub that can push 4500 rms? What’s better a sub with a 15-250 hz frequency or a sub that is 5-1000hz? Please do some research
@@kevindowney6512 now how on earth would you know if I'm a casual without knowing a single thing about me? I've been into car audio for almost 2 decades and have owned over 10 systems... what I get out of my W7 sounds the best and more towards what I'm looking for in a woofer... deep bass rather hard punch bass, sound quality, crisp and clarity... I'm the furthest thing from a "casual"
@@seankiesling2054 I’m not gonna argue on RU-vid so this will be my last comment I’m happy for your history in car audio but the specs don’t lie if you think a W7 has deeper bass than any team series sub im sure you won’t listen to anyone, cheers!
@@cypressmuzik lol jl sure does look and sound good but too much money orion, sundown, cadence, fi, image dynamics, crossfire, b2 audio, dc audio, american bass, skar audio, resilient sounds, b52, ssa, dayton audio, toro, nvx, harmony audio, ct sounds, incriminater audio, ds18, beats jl by a ton in sound, price, power, imo
Awesome video. One of the best if not, the best I've seen and heard on youtube. All the others focus on rattles and do not have a good enough mic to pick up the bass reproduction. Again, awesome vid.
Samuel Briscoe This mic. couldn't reproduce the sound either... No microphone can reproduce 20 Hz bass... And if it can there are only very few and they most likely are very expensive. It didn't to store as much simply due to the fact that it is only one subwoofer... Other people on RU-vid do not focus on rattles... that just makes no fucking sense... The whole reason that you hear rattling is because they have so much bays that it literally shakes every part inside of the car... Are you saying fat because one's microphone cannot pick up their amazing bass it means that their bass is bad? Lol
@@thenotorious6552 I adore W7's.. they may not be THE loudest (they are fucking loud.. anyone who says otherwise is already deaf. They've overkill for any car and anyone with 12" and above is just showing off.. do you really need that for day to day listening! I was happy with a 12" W7. In fact, I sold my car 12 years ago and I miss it every day.. so much so that I bought 2 x FL Fathom subwoofers for my music studio - imgur.com/gallery/JQlO0) But - the best thing about them is the quality. Loud.. but quality. Check the graph on the page that I linked - totally flat response curve. You couldn't find a better curve, thats why they haven't changed their flagship speaker design in over 15 years. So much R&D went into it to get it perfect first time. there's no 'version 2' unlike all their other speakers. People that don't like them either - prefer crappy volume over sound quality, didn't hear it with good matched system in a good box and tuned correctly, it was over or under powered or they're deaf. They cost a lot. In my experience as a sound engineer that has listened to many many of the best speaker systems in the world for mixing audio on (my current studio set up is using a modified Benchmark DAC, 2 x Fathom 12s and K&H O300's, some of the cleanest speakers you'll ever hear. You close your eyes, its like people singing live a few inches from your face.
You see that gap under the edge of the sub. Rotate the aluminum beauty ring where the split is at the bottom where the logo is and it will seat perfectly flush with the box. 🔈🎵🎶
Any idea how I should tune my amp to I currently got a w7 10 sub ported box with a 500/1d jx amp and I can’t seem to get it to sound clean any ideas ??
@@ABONE1 because this is the 12w7 on at least 1200 watts so it's being pushed to basically max. You have the 13.5 on 1000 watts so it's a bigger sub on less power and it's rated conservatively up to 1500. The 13.5 can take 2k all day on clean signal.
it’s crazy to think that’s how much my w7 will flex once i get a better amp for it. currently running it with a hifonics hfi1500 which is only pushing ~500 watts to it. plan on getting a JL slash 1v3 for it.
i just had a JL12W7 H.O. INSTALLED IN MY 10 CTS-V, POWERED BY 1500 RMS JL AMP, SOME SONGS DONT HIT HARD AT ALL, OTHERS ARE GOOD , NOT WHAT I EXPECTED, IM THINKING SHOP LEFT GAIN VERY LOW POSSIBLY FOR BREAK IN. SHOULD I BE GETTING TORN APART BY BASS, OR DOES IT HAVE TO BE TURNED UP
THE BEST BASS....I bought my JL's years ago and would have already trashed any other speaker by now hands down. So my investment has been a decent one for my pleasure.
