I think "normal" everyday people can be just as rude and that behavior is excused. Normal folks aren't always held accountable for their rudeness (or worse). I think that's a general human thing and has nothing to do with class or luxury
I met Jennifer Lopez here in Miami in the early 2000's. She was not just rude, she was down right nasty. I am so glad that the truth about her is finally coming out.
I was working for an Italian Duke who owned a real estate company and rented his own luxury properties to famous people. One of our clients was a VJay for MTV Latino. A lot of people who worked for MTV leased properties from us. This particular VJay was notoriously late paying her rent every month so the Duke would send me to the studio on an almost daily basis at the beginning of the month to collect her rent payment. It was a nightmare. One day I walk in and there's Jennifer Lopez. I guess she was there to be interviewed for one of her awful movies or something. She looked at me up and down with the nastiest look on her face and began to make fun of what I was wearing (Guess jeans and a white cotton T-shirt with a pair of wedges, I looked cute BTW) saying that I must have gotten my outfit from my Grandma's closet and then she sucked her teeth which is called "freír un huevo" in Spanish which means frying an egg because that's what it sounds like. It is one of the most trashy and disrespectful things you can do to someone in our culture. Her and her cronies were having a laugh at my expense. Needless to say I collected the rent and left. I didn't want to start trouble or get fired by my boss for starting shit at MTV. To this day I will never forget how that made me feel. She is the worst.
Agree, but try to see it from her perspective. Imagine the world constantly rejecting you, leaving you exhausted and avoiding of people, even those who are kind. I understand her situation, but that doesn't excuse rudeness.
LMFAO, but honestly, one of my fav songs from the 80’s (now that I’m old and nostalgic) is “Girl, you know it’s true” by Milli Vanilli. I do not, nor will I ever wax nostalgic about a JLO song. She’s never been on my radar that way. I’ll listen to a song of hers, but it’s just fluffy music to me.
Exactly, I remember the show South Park made fun of her in an episode and how rude she is to everyone back then too. Like it was such a known thing it was on an episode of South Park 😂
I’m here for this tbh. She’s been giving off that vibe like her shit don’t stink and people are finally sick of it. Her failing concert sales should prove to her that she is nothing without her fans/public. She’s getting what she deserves. Be humble, girl. 🙌🏼
@@Robert_Reacts J.LO was and is rude. 'It's not what you say, it's HOW you say it'!!!! Look at the way Usher answered her questions, friendly, polite, charming. Keke, friendly, charming and polite. No wonder Ben wants to divorce her miserable ass. Her tour tickets are now selling for $10.00 😂😂😂unlike Taylor Swift whose tickets are selling for hundred or thousands. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL SWEETIE😘❤❤❤❤
Is anyone still a fan though? I'm not even trying to be mean, I never knew anyone who was crazy about her back in the day and now I don't think she's still on anyone's radar.
Well "celebrities paying to be seen wearing clothes and that money ending up being spent in a relatively good cause that would get little to no funding otherwise (the preservation of historical garments at the MET) and actually acknowledging the people who created the clothes who not only not get paid anywhere nearly as much most people believe and people don't actually have a habit of giving any credit to" is actually quite nice in comparison to the usual "Bella hadid's Stylist was sent some clothes for free and now everyone is acting as if she herself had reinvented denim"😅
I told my kids that you can evaluate the character of an individual by how they treat wait staff. If someone is rude, short, or stingy, then don't see them again. I also made sure that they worked jobs in the service industry, and knew what hard work was. Saying please and thank you is free, as is treating others with respect
She doesn't understand that people liked that she was a starlet in the chorus, so to speak, and it is always nice to see somebody make to being the top billed performer, but arrogance, esp among women, turns the public OFF. She's never hired an honest PR rep who's made her listen. Has she even seen her own movies? She's not good. She's just famous for being hot.
Still not being kind is just rude - don’t care how famous or rich you are : be kind. And respect others. Being rich or famous doesn’t mean you are better than others.
I find it hilarious that she regularly tries to push her, “I’m just Jenny from the block” schtick. She’s been a class A diva for years now. I think this attitude has helped her decline into irrelevance for a while. Hence, nobody cared about her movie. Karma.
Dude, I was saying that when she came out with that Jenny from the block music video 100 yrs ago 😂😂😂 She’s on a freakin yacht saying she’s normal. I’m like am I the only one seeing this video?! 😅
Exactly! If JLo had made as much of attempt to engage people, lose the major diva attitude, and exude some genuine interest in other people...be it celebrities or service people, over the last ten years then I believe not only would she have remained relevant, but perhaps people would have real interest in her tour and her movie. JLo just acts like it's just a huge bewilderment as to why she has been striking out in all arenas lately. She hasn't been smart enough to realize that you reap what you sow!
She saw Taylor Swift and Beyonce making movies and thought she could do it too. She ignored the fact that Taylor and Beyonce were running massively, massively popular/succesful tours at the same time. Taylor and Beyonce were the theme of 2023.
My brother-in-law went to school for sound production, and they used to pass around pre-produced raw vocals of J-Lo and laugh at how bad they were. (I think the point was supposed to be “look what we have the power to do! We can make people with very little singing talent sound good! What a transformation, right?)
No you’re right I don’t think anyone has paid her any attention for at least 15 years. That’s probably why she’s desperate. She’s like “last time I checked (25 years ago) I was the QUEEN! Why aren’t they still paying attention?? Even though I’ve barely done anything new in those 25 years? “ 😂
The journalist just sounds so genuine and excited to be there. I want to tell her who I’m wearing and my inspiration (I’m wearing NoBoundaries by Walmart and the inspiration is ‘comfort’)!
Lol! I’m wearing dollar general oversized men’s tee shirt and Walmart shorts. And yes, I go out in public in this all the time. I bought a pack of colored t-shirts. I think we’d tie for comfy - definitely no undergarments either. I can sleep and get right up and slide on flip flops and be at the gas station for a pack of cigs and a coke in less than 10 min. It’s the breakfast of former champions and divorced single mothers when their kids get old enough to drive themselves to school. Sometimes I eat healthy and get McDonald’s hot cakes for breakfast too, lol!! 🤣🤣
@@jujubee463 Yes. I just turned 50 in April. However, I’ve been doing this for awhile now. Unfortunately, I need to stop if I don’t want to end up alone the rest of my life. But I haven’t decided if giving up comfort is worth it. My first marriage of 25 years wasn’t. Lol!
J-Lo's rudeness has been known about for years. She did a USO tour years ago, and complained about the quarters she had, the other accommodations, the food, she refused to walk on grass, so she was carried by bodyguards. This was a tour for military members stationed overseas, and she acted like a huge diva the entire time. She's alson known to be very cheap, and a terrible tipper. She and Ben Affleck were at a casino, and Ben was tipping quite well, as he is known to do. Jen was snatching all the tips back from staff and leaving one dollar tips instead. She told Ben he was tipping too much.
Yup, I heard this exact story from the dealer who took her $100 chip tip that Ben gave her... She's a horrible person and I'm so happy people will not be supporting her ass anymore!
I believe what you’re saying because it’s all true. Once, she went to Puerto Rico and “asked” (demanded) a hotel to paint her whole FLOOR, not just her room, because she didn’t like the color of the walls. She is a bad tipper, too. The stories about snatching money back from the staff were well known when she was with Marc Anthony (10+ years of relationship).
I was surprised when she was talking about the superbowl half time show, complaining about having to share the stage, but I’m sorry but Shakira made her look better!!!
Hi Robert my family are from Castle Hill Bronx where she is from. She wasnt ever popular for the Puerto Rican culture and locals from Castle Hill. We always hated her because she stole the music but she pretends to be "from the block" as in she lives in the projects (council flats) and how she struggled income wise like a majority of who are from Castle Hill. She was never poor, her family didnt struggle, and she never hung out like the rest of the community. She wasnt of "modest means" her dad worked in IT which back in the 80s and 90s you made money and her mom was a teacher in a private school. She went to private school which is $1000s per semester! We are sick of it
Did you grow up with her? Were you in her home? Are you her family? No? Then don't speak on her actual life experiences. Dislike her all you want but this is so weird and comes off as you being jealous of her success and talent.
We were backstage waiting to clean the rooms when someone came to us and said they needed to pick up our phones. It was werid bc that has never happened. Then we were told we needed to turn around. We did as we were told and saw someone walk behind us. It was JLO. We were not allowed to see her bc we didn't pay and she didn't want us to take pictures of her since we were cleaning and not paying fans. I thought this was so rude. No other artists have done this.
And they were spot on LOL!!! There were stories that she fired some backup dancers for singing the TACO 🌮 Song & was PISSED with South Park's creators.
My friend was a private jet flight attendant and she was the staff on Jlo’s flight once. She told me that basically you can’t look at her or talk to her directly, that all communication has to go through her assistant. Make of that you will! She’s definitely told me stories of worse people lol
A story I heard from my mom is very similar! JLo went to some event at the Mohegan Sun (a lot of celebrities go there), and she was absolutely vile to everyone. She told a room attendant “don’t look at me, look at the floor.” And she presumed everyone wanted her autograph and would dismissively wave them off like they were gnats.
I love that you shared the story about the brush getting stuck - that has definitely happened to me and I’m sure tons of others. You still look amazing!
I used to work at a really fancy grocery store in Marin County CA. Her personal assistant came shopping and forgot the business credit card after we rung up like $800 worth of stuff for JLo. She started sobbing worried that she was going to get fired. MY manager let her take it after he got her drivers license and plate number so she could come back and pay later. You could just see how stressed she was and then left an open account so this would never happen again. JLo definitely isn't nice.
That brush goes in a safe & when someone in the house wants to use it they have to sign for it! There should be a law or at least an age requirement! Core memory for everyone!😂
@@nikkilovesrocks seriously because my sister was ready to get rid of a quarter of her head to get that dang brush out! 🤣 It should say on the handle" for professional use only"
Listen...eh...read! I live in Puerto Rico. When JLo came to the Ritz Carlton here a dear and close friend of mine worked at their casino and she gave me a first account description of how rude JLo really is, even with her own team. She expected the casino to wave their rules for her and when she was denied (those rules are set for a reason, even for the guests' security), she started some drama about they not knowing who she was... And she was horrible with everyone. And this was like 12 years ago I'd say, maybe more. If she was this malcriada, rude and smug when she wasn't as big as she's been after that, I can only presume she is an even worse diva now.
a good friend of mine lived in NYC working as a server while she was in school who served her in a restaurant years ago and said she was absolutely horrible and entitled. yelled at staff for looking her in the eye...requested specific bottled water they had to go out and purchase. treated staff terribly and did not tip. another time she did the same thing and was taking back cash tips ben had given staff. I don't trust anyone who treats wait staff and servers poorly.
I don’t believe this story. She may be rude but I don’t believe this story. I keep hearing it and it’s always a different place, I thought it was the personal staff, then someone said it was a casino, now it saying it was restaurants…. I can’t imagine her taking the time to do that. Maybe not tipping but to go and take back tips, like most cases you do not get back your tips, ever.
@@eelplantLol because she probably did that wherever she went. Restaurants, casinos ect. I believe it. I mean who spends 20 million of their own money to talk about themselves? Lol that alone said everything everyone needed to know about her. Actually that’s embarrassing. Most producers are are begging & paying celebrities to do these documentaries. So she won’t pay waiter staff for serving her rude body but spends 20 million on a docu that nobody was interested in but her. Lol
@@eelplantI met her in a hallway while I patiently waited for an elevator. She walked up & had the GAUL to say she rides the elevator alone. I told her to take the next one & left her aghast in the hallway. This would have been 2002 or 2003. She was vile.
@@missmaryjanegreenlove it good for you. If more people did and said things like that to these entitled people it would eventually even cause them to have a small amount of self reflection. Bravo for you!
Can we just appreciate Robert pulling through and making a video despite the struggle and pain of suffering with a brush stuck in his hair earlier in the day? Not all heroes wear capes. 😉
My best friend got stuck waiting on JLo and her pack. At the end of the night, after running up a $3000 bill, the assistants left a $500 and 2 $100 bills on the table. JLo saw it, went back to the table, took the money back, and said, "She got to wait on me. That's enough." My friend couldn't believe Jenny from the block stiffed her.
Wow… yet Taylor Swift gave all her tour drivers 1 million each! That speaks volumes! But too, this opportunistic chick crawled into bed with P.Diddy and that’s pretty gross.
J. No is regularly reported rude, cheap, dismissive, dim-witted, uninformed, pompous, ignorant know-it-all, bullshits her Bronx childhood and "street" lifestyle ... Combo with her unearned grandiose demeanor and braggart nonsense. Who and what she's truly like is a full 180° from what she tries to make others see. Jennifer Slopez is a boring, ridiculous person who happened to end up in Hollyweird for a stint. Turned me off on jump. Her off-putting body language, disposition, behavior, lack of any true talent ... Where's her actual value? Star power? Meaningful Contributions to art, music, film, entraînent? J. No needs to go lay down, at home, in private, without cameras, until the end of time. I think there's quite a few with me on this one, "We do not want to see or hear any more from you, Jenny." Sorry SOOOOOO NOT SORRY.
Well if its true that her and Ben have split up recently, that would explain why she is in a mood. I know people expect celebrities to just suck it up and put on a smile but everyone isn’t good at that and we need to remember celebrities are human.
Correcting a misconception. Celebrities don’t pay, they’re invited by the brands (the brands pay for a table at the met and give the celebrities of their choice an outfit to promote) celebrities don’t pay for anything at the met apart from maybe hair and makeup and the charity inside. That’s why celebrities say I was invited by x brand
I wondered if there was a portion of invited A Listers, and a portion of fame hungry influencers that aren't anywhere rear famous enough that had to pay $75,000 to be there and be dressed by their own team who want to present as if they were among the invited A Listers
@@stephe1506 I’m pretty sure designers and brands are the only ones allowed to buy tickets otherwise everyone with money could show up. Everyone that’s there gets approved by Anna wintours. Its a charity for preserving fashion so makes sense for only fashion related brands to be allowed in (and those they invited). You see a lot of news and press companies outside but none are allowed in even though they’re dressed up. I hope that makes sense let me know if it doesn’t and I’ll try to reword it better
Came to say this. Like I’m sure one or two people actually pay for themselves if they’re not considered culturally relevant anymore but MOST cases the brand bought tickets and gave them to the celebs to wear the brand’s clothes to the event as a PR thing. So glad someone mentioned it!
JLo’s self absorbed behavior has been happening since she starred as Selena Quintanilla. Everyone, especially JLo, needs to understand that JLo DOES NOT have Selena’s level of talent that she has when she was alive! Jenny from the block has always been a horribly rude person.
Her assistant, bless her, was trying to be so diplomatic about it 😂 Sure Jenny he's _such_ a good friend, I'm sure that your invitation just got lost in the mail ☠️ She chose to leave all those no's in! 😂 I'm sure it was to make them all feel bad after it won the Oscar but instead it's just delulu and sad lol
@@heysassafras to give her benefit of the doubt there her assistant didn’t actually say it was his wedding and made it sound like he was just attending😅 she really should have said he’s getting married and can’t come
@@MaknaeUlzzangActually she did. The assistant literally said “He’s not gonna give up *his* wedding!” But I guess Jennifer needs things to be spelt out for her because she then still asks “whose wedding?!”. Another comment thread mentioned JLo struggles with using the correct articles in Spanish. Guess English pronouns are hard for her too. 😏
Wow guys, just google Derek’s Interview about this clip. JLO was actually so nice to him and changed her dates in order to have him onboard her project, not to mention that she gave him mega support with wedding stuff……not everything is what it seems, do research….. I’m just showing a point of view.
she wa climbing strairs with heels and tight dress what do you expect her to do come on, this news about jlo i way to much i feel society hate older women. there is really rude celebs and way worst and no one care.
@@desertmoonlee6631totally agree. There's actual examples of J Lo being a jerk but this isn't one of them. She answered the question and kept walking up all those stairs in a restrictive dress and heels.
It’s been said that JLO doesn’t even sing in her songs. Most of the vocals in the songs are of Christina Millian and other artists that are no longer signed. I’m happy to see her fall from grace.
I have tried through the years to give her the benefit of the doubt, but, in reality I have always felt she had very little, if any, authentic talent. She is simply a manufactured celebrity who is a legend in her own mind.
I don’t even have a problem with the one word response. It’s the whole attitude and tone. She could’ve at least smiled and sounded somewhat friendly. (And this isn’t a “women need to smile” comment. It’s a “this is what anyone signs up for when they do red carpets” comment.)
she was the co-chair of this event. any publication that spoke to her she should have been ready to respond with decorum. she was a face of the event 😒
She could have invested 20 million dollars in anything other than a film about herself, and it would have been more successful and well received. I'm thinking maybe something to help the little girls who were actually "running up and down the block." 💁♀️
Someone should have shouted "Oh J-Lo, my Mom had all your records." I bet that would've brightened her evening. From a fellow Brit. See, we can be rude if we really try. 🤭
My family member was a chauffeur for celebrities/high-profile people in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. Allegedly, Jennifer was the rudest celebrity my family member had ever driven. She very passive aggressively told the person that she was with to tell the driver (my family member) not to speak to her: “Why is he speaking to me? Can you tell him not to speak to me?” He was just asking how her stay in the DMV had been, and was verifying where she was to get dropped off.
