As a devoted sci-fi enthusiast, I have a deep love for "Dune", and I can't wait for the second part.
It's not a secret that my latest EP, "Sirocco", draws inspiration from the epic saga, especially its captivating desert scenes and mystical Middle-Eastern vibes.
What sets this EP apart is my departure from the usual orchestral elements that typically define my music. Instead, I've incorporated a lot of experimental synth parts and mangled vocal effects. My goal was to play around with instruments and sounds in an unconventional manner, resulting in a sound that's both otherworldly and pleasantly unexpected, yet somehow anchored in what we're familiar with.

The thumper's calling Shai-Hulud, the world of Arrakis. Dune comes alive with the sounds of a master who has been to that desert planet. Maybe a time or two maybe? : ) I just finished Sandworm's of Dune, another in the series by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson! This came at an incredible time for me and Jo, I love to hear you're a fan of this amazing story! I just love to hear that people still read!! And YES inspiring with it's detail, which you've continued in your own musically creative way! I am there!

@@JoBlankenburg You mirrored the visuals with a sound that fit! The thumper in the sand, the sound of the thopter's sounding like insects, the drums pounding out the confrontation in the end! And the way you portrayed Paul, Muad'Dib! Or the AI, but it got it's instructions from you! I literally got goosebumps each time I watched it! So far that's been five times! Thank you so much!!

Wow! An absolutely perfect synergy of song and sight. That montage starting at 4:10 is so well paired with the visuals, it’s almost like it was meant to be like that. Now I’m thinking you would have been a perfect choice to score the films.

Christian thanks for looking so closely. Yes, true, this section really clicked also when I was editing it. Sometimes music and visuals float apart and then other times they flow in sync, in and out and so on.
