I was at this show. Great to see it. What I like is you are picking up all the sound from Joan's guitar. She is so in the pocket. It's just badazz the way she plays so tight. The mix from farther back was a good blend of lead and her but, again I love this, it just shows her artistry. She really doesn't even need a lead.
I love rock n' roll, too. Joan Jett is really something! I was lucky enough to learn I love rock n' roll on my electric guitar! It's so much fun to play! I highly recommend learning it!!

By the time youve had a hit for 30 years,many rockers wouldnt even be playing the lead riff.Its easier to switch to rhythm and let a session guy play the technical guitar, then you can concentrate on vocals and playing to the crowd.Joan still played the "I love rock & roll" riff herself.Respect Joannie.

I don't know how you did it, but you got her guitar loud enough to hear in the recording. Was it the mix, or where you were when you recorded it or did you throw a wireless microphone up near her amp? Either way, please record them more so I can hear her guitar playing more. I love hearing her guitar playing more. My first concert was here when Ricky Byrd was out with the collapsed lung. She didn't have a second guitarist at that concert. So, I really got to hear her play guitar better than the way it usually is. I never got over that. I was spoiled to it. It was a treat to get to hear her playing more. I really got to hear her play. She played Coney Island Whitefish and ruined me forever for all other whammy bar usage. That was the best. I loved it.
@@datflys I was wondering the same thing. Her rhythm guitar playing is just air tight. Not faking anything. Most singers just use their guitar as a prop and let the lead guitarist do it all. But not Joanie! Thanks for putting this up. Seriously rocks.
