Not saying this is the case for Jodie but many are victims of the pharmaceutical industry. Sadly MILLIONS were prescribed OC under the pretense that it wasnt addictive when its a highly addictive drug. Take any person that isnt prone to addiction, give them OC for 10 days and I guarantee theyd become addicted. Its just that addictive. I know many people that became addicted when given that drug from their doctor. The sackler family and pharmaceutical industry needs to be held accountable. Regardless most addicts and recovering addicts know it is their responsibility to get better and playing the victim card doesnt help. Those that play the victim card are in denial. Im not disagreeing im just saying the sackler family and pharmaceutical industry are monsters.

@@GeekFurious "There's nothing better about acting one way or another." *False. Those who don't progress past victimization delay their own progress past the point of the event.* "You are a victim." *So the 'act' specified above is merely an act because one cannot be anything but a victim? So then, by your own line of thinking (quoted above) you lied. If one "acts" like anything but a victim, then (by your thinking) they aren't acting in a way that is genuine.* "How you "act" has little to do with what happened to you." *So again, the act is irrelevant since it "has little to do with what happened to you". Therefore, the victimization is what defines you.* "it's a performance... putting out there what you want to project." *Only your victimization is real...you repeat yourself a lot.* "It doesn't mean anything except to those looking in from the outside." *Anything but acting like the victim you are, since your victimization is what defines you, is insincere, inorganic.* *All in all, repetitive and nihilistic. I am in a similar position as her mother. My grand-niece came to live with us when she was 2, due to bio parents unfortunate addiction issues, and we officially adopted her a few years later. Now she's a happy, healthy 9 year old girl, but I do worry about how she will feel as different feelings start to come about regarding her adoption. All we can do is be there for her and let her know how much she is loved, regardless of her past.
@msangelbaby2021
@msangelbaby2021 2 года назад
Also consider getting her into therapy so she can work through those feelings when they do arise. You love her and will be there for her, but it's easier for a mental health professional to pull those feelings out and help her have a safe space to release them. It doesn't hurt anything and the right therapist can be beneficial for you the parents as well as for your daughter.

I was adopted in 1960 as a newborn. I was raised being told I was special because I was chosen. Hence, I literally felt sorry for my non-adopted friends who were just "had", lol. I knew several other adoptees who never talked about being adopted because they were ashamed of it. It was an open topic in our family. I was often referred to as the "adopted one" in the extended family. This made me feel singled out and special. Secrets imply shame and there were certainly no secrets around my being adopted ... thanks Mom and Dad, you really nailed that whole mindset.

I'm a fellow adoptee, except I was taken from my mother at birth by the Canadian government and put in an orphanage until I was picked up by a pack of violently abusive two-legged hyenas, consequently I was orphaned to the dope and the drink and the streets at a pretty early age but managed to horse my way through alcoholism and all the chaos that accompanies that lifestyle, sometimes I think adoptees are naturally stronger than most other people by default because none of us had a fuckin' choice. I have been clean and sober for 23 years now, no culty, co-dependant AA nonsense either just good strong, steady therapy, and not until I could "feel something hurt" then quit like most people do but all the way through until I could actually feel my sea legs gather strength underneath me...it's a good thing, although some people are expecting everything to sort of come up roses when they sober up but it's no picnic, it is tolerable though until you can find your cadence and groove with the fuckin' universe, I always tell people SOBER stands for "Son Of a Bitch Everything's Real..."

One of my most cherished childhood moments was when i met Jodie at Griffith park during christmas time. I was with my cousins and we all took a big photo arm in arm. It was such a great day, the kind of day you'd be wishing time travel existed.

I’m adopted and was so grateful to be after meeting my biological parents. For me there were no resentment issues. I was adopted by wonderful people after I was born.

I appreciate the fact that she’s real. To be honest I was never into full house because it was so Sanitized to death. The other people on that show put on this pretty perfect Christian act. I appreciate people who are flawed and real to the bone!

@@captinundies6049 Bob Saget is a creep! Both him and John Stamos. If you truly want to be repulsed watch the Bob Saget roast. They talk about Mary Kate and Ashly in the most vial way! They make sexual jokes about them. They have known them since they were babies.It’s unbelievable what comes out of their mouths! The Olson twins have said in interviews that inappropriate things happened on the set. I don’t know to what extent but it was not an environment for any child to be in and that’s evident when you watch Bob Saget and Stamos make those disgusting jokes. I’m guessing that’s why the Olson twins want nothing to do with that show any longer.

So basically you're admitting you're mind is dirty and desensitized to the grotesque, blasphemous and sjw content of today? Rather than watching some real good wholesome stuff that no longer exist cause now Hollywood wants to push same sex relations in every movie and every show? Time for you to get woke.

If you compare her to Candace Cameron, Jodie is definitely a breath of fresh air! There's nothing calculated or manufactured or performative about her.

I get what you mean but as a Christian, i can tell you that it does not equate to perfection. If we were perfect, we wouldn't need God's grace. In fact when Jesus sat and ate with sinners He said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but the sinners". Thats Mark 2:17

I am an adoptee as well and can testify how ones environment shapes a person......not everyone has the same opportunity as everyone else, your environment dictates alot of who you are and who you will be. Just one of the Lies of America...saying we are all equal and everyone has the same opportunity.
@miaqueen9578
@miaqueen9578 2 года назад
You may not have the same opportunity but you do have the choice to make the best out of every situation. You have the choice to be positive and WORK towards a better future. It may not happen overnight, and you may not be rich as an end result but you can make things work if you want to..

Not adopted but I agree, there are a lot of things I didn't get to do because I was always so unstable or focusing all my energy on gaining stability. I look back and think if only I could go back in my current form, I might've actually been able to do that. Now all the trauma has taken a toll on my body, so I can physically do even less. The chronic pain and illness have accumulated. Although I've mostly forgive my mother, I still have some bitterness when I think of these things. I honestly feel like the reason I'm in pain every day is because of her. And that's hard to look past.

Fellow adoptee here also, so very well said and written @Dale Bouwman. 💯As someone who was abandoned by my mom, and losing my dad to an overdose, which resulted in me being placed into the foster care system. Jodi being so vulnerable & open shout her struggles and realizing the trauma of being abandon or displaced, truly touched me. Along with resonating with me as I’m going through this now in my early thirties. The deep sadness I feel often is what was wrong with me, why not choose me and choose the drugs or lifestyle/etc. I have to live with the scars if not emotional pain/heaviness and grief...😔🥀😞 Nevertheless deeply moving clip.
