Israel is the "West's" Military Installation in that region that just happens to have people living there. They don't control the U.S. Israel wouldn't exist without the U.S.'s constant protection in the U.N., without the billions in aid we give them, without the billions in weapons we give them. They are the 51st state without saying so. AIPAC and things like it are just insurance on their part.
