They shot him with assault rifles. My uncle would’ve only been maybe 13 at the time. My dad and uncle used to live all over the world because my grandpa worked at Exon oil so they lived in Nigeria for a while and Indonesia for a while. They just happened to be in Nigeria when Mighty Joe was executed. That’s why I put Mighty Joe in the thumbnail.
