Neil doesnt like to have a discussion, he likes to have a monologue.
@FrozenLabRat
@FrozenLabRat Месяц назад
I did agree with this untill I understood why 😂 Because his mentality is that whoever is NOT the host in a podcast should be the main and interesting person. Or so he said in an older podcast.
@KempikoOryginal
@KempikoOryginal Месяц назад
@@FrozenLabRat i think the most interesting subject in podcast is the viewer. They are not having conversation in a vacum. They are creating a product for people to enjoy and watch in its entirety, so all the adds can be presented and hopefully they can retain audience for future recordings. If someone is disrupting this process because of his ego, he is creating recording that people will not enjoy. However, it is almost all the time responsibility of the host to lead the conversation in a way that it will be interesting for posibly everyone watching. Neil deGrasse Tyson can have ego bigger than mount Everest, however it is on Joe to guide the discussion and direct the guest (sometimes subtle, sometimes in a more direct way) on how to behave during the recording. And during this episode i could see that Joe was trying to tame Neil's ego but all of us did witness, that Neil deGrasse Tyson is untameable. This guy is not like a top of the line scientist, he is more of a communicator of ideas that smarter people come out with but he behaves like he is at least Albert Einstein and all of the Noble prices and glory should belong to him.

Shrooms cause your ego to explode into a million pieces temporarily for 8 hours. Many would argue, like Terrence McKenna, that the ego is a cultural disease that has accumulated over 2000 years or so of reform. He argued that for many people it would be very beneficial to take these things once in their life to experience what it is like. It would help people not be so rude and help them be more compassionate

@harrybandukda
@harrybandukda Месяц назад
These episodes were all only available on Spotify, but since JRE is back on RU-vid, he is posting them here. They were posted to RU-vid the same day they were broadcast on Spotify, but JRE private these videos. This is likely because the episodes are large and storing them on a physical drive would take up a lot of space. It is also much simpler to publish them immediately so they don't forget about them later. Now these videos are becoming public, hence we can't see these vids on JRE channel page as a recent upload.

@@SlimStarCraft That's what I said, these videos were private when they were first uploaded, but they are now public, so you can't discover them as recent. However, if you browse around the channel page, you will see that each episode is dated precisely on the day that it was aired on Spotify. I just gave the reason why would Jamie or JRE manager would do that, to either save space OR its much easier to upload at the date of shoot so they don't have to do it later on.

Death in war is not an accident. Accidents happen while driving . We are not deciding ones better than the other.

Research shows that marijuana and cannabinoids do increase the access to objective reality because they act as neurotransmitters in the brain which go the opposite direction of most neurotransmitters in parallel without reducing the flow of other neurotransmitters. More research is needed to measure this more accurately. One could start by having a podcast episode focused on this topic with a doctor specialized in marijuana and its effects on the brain.

Tbh, my first experience of Probability and Statistic was when my mind is nurtured by spoon feeding. I didn't understand much. Though, I still score an A-, but still I don't have a deep understanding of its usage. Right now, looking back, I think my teacher does not have understanding of its application and explained well, how it can be practical. It doesn't make sense to me back then. However, as I grow further, it suddenly hit my mind, why didn't he explained it like that? Else I would have make full use of it.

1:18:15 back in the 90s, a lot of ppl around my home area had those deer whistlers. The vehicle/deer accidents raised significantly, and everybody removed them off their vehicles and won’t use them to this day. It’s like those attracted the deer to jump out in front of a vehicle more than not having them.

24:00 Pr there lies the necessity for an extra parralel dimenson. It would explain the boson field and also the dissapearance of gravitons. Black holes cannot be infinitely dense surely. If a singularity exists where the influence is active, necessarily, a release must exist. Wormhole, Parralel dimensions, secondary universalities.

2:32:30 "what if unethical countries get their hands on that technology?"... No other country has intervened and killed as many people in others countries bordes in the last 80 years as the US... by a LONG shot. Another country having or using technology the US deems unethical would just be another reason for the US to invade that country to "free" the people in that country. Even what happens in Iran today can be linked to US and CIAs 1953 operaions and decades of surpression, and this is merely the starting point from the "morale highground".

I can't speak for mushrooms or cocaine but I have noticed when I'm writing if it's fiction my writing is much better if I've had a couple beers. My writing itself is worse but the actual content of my writing is better. It takes longer to proof read and fix but the story itself is better.
