8th grade birthday party for me. I found a mixtape in the bathroom at school on a Friday. I didn't listen to it and went to the party and said, "I got this great mixtape." Hahaha. My head almost exploded when it was played.

From Slayer to NWA. I always liked them both and thought it was odd that I did, being that they were so different. But this makes sense.

@chrisfaub4071

it wouldn't phase them one bit, most of todays and up to 3 decades back want money and fame and have no interest in creating something new they just want to reuse what was already created. i just laugh when i see people praising dre for being the greatest beat creator ever when over half of what he created was samples from previous music. in a way you could just say he was a very smart scammer.

the first thing from those guys was NWA and the posse.. which had dope man, boyz in the hood and 8-ball as well as other tracks.. in my opinion, it was easy-e who caught people's attention.. there were already plenty of rappers on the scene.. easy's diminutive voice was unique as well as the 'we'll kill you' sound

RR had to counter PE/Rakim/ KRS/ Native Tongues with the gangster drug culture… NWA actually helped devolve Hip Hop into what it is now and it has yet to come back up into edutainment!!! Arguably the best culture vulture but he has tremendous talent and skill!!! I love LL’s first album and Raising Hell but 💯 and agenda was taking place on highest levels!!! … this comment will be removed and I will be flagged but I don’t give a flying F!!! 😂😂😂

I think there was room for both but obviously the more extreme NWA was going to be more popular, at least among teen males. PE and De La had a few hits.
