@@roodog430 His father Paul Theroux would be a an excellent guest. Love his travel books and he has experience teaching in Africa so he knows where the aid money from the west ends up. He also has a low opinion on the 'so called' charitable organisations such as the Rockefeller Foundation.
Louis Theroux has a unique style, he manages to be respectful to the subject manner while still exposing what needs to be exposed. He also seems to have no ego which is very disarming and helps people open up to him even though they know what he is up to. Just a genuinely good bloke.

James Jones karl pilkington would never go to America to do a podcast. He doesnt like doing interviews or things like that, after his show thats coming out later this year he will bank the cash n go back into living a normal life.
I love his interview technique, he just keeps going and sort of disarms his guests then they catch on and he has to find another way in and he does that several times in the documentary, it makes for great TV and is very entertaining❤❤✌

Stunt Panda Think Louis was trying to frame a devils advocate argument then quickly thought better of it. It's clear that neither of them think that it is in any way shape or form justified. His only point was that being murdered doesn't automatically validate a position which is correct but I agree he was a bit ham handed about it.
Louis Theroux is one of the best journalists in the world. He's one of the last honest, real, unbiased journalists whose only goal is to give his viewers the truth.
Louie is extremely articulate. He’s never too wordy, never sounds like he’s trying to sound smart, and practically every word he says is used perfectly.

@A Glass of Freshly Squeezed Ass Juice he had a series called 'When Louis met' back at the turn of the century and did an episode with Saville. He became sort of friends with him in a way. Kept in contact and saw each other occasionally but nothing major from what Louis says. Saville was a master manipulator though and Louis talks in a documentary called 'Saville' which he released a few years ago, after everything came out. No reason to not ask him about the bloke though. Seems very open about Saville when asked

One thing I particularly like about these podcasts is that there's a great conversation going on and I'm invested, but then I go to look at how much of it is left and I'm not even half way through - feels like I have such a treat left before me after having gotten so much.

You definitely have to check out his doco's! I've seen them all, some of them I've seen way more than once. I'm a huge Louis fan! I've never watched this Joe dude before. I'm only watching it because Louis is on it
Kristi you have a real treat in front of you when you start watching his docs. He does a brilliant one on Thai brides. This was one of his earlier ones I think. Then of course there is the Jimmy Savile one. So many interesting docs. M Kennedy.

Louis has his style of doing docos... admittedly his more serious stuff is not playing on that sorta ' naive, timid, polite ' Englishman thang, but both his "entertainment" docos and his more serious topic docos really show his intelligence in truth gathering... i fkn love his stuff

This is the first JRE I have listened to. I have read so many tweets etc disparaging Mr Rogan and after listening here I cannot understand why. He comes across as intelligent and is a great interviewer allowing Louis to speak and also making great points. I have subscribed!

Joe Rogan is a great interviewer with a great thirst for knowledge and an condiment consummate professional. He never writes it in and does a lot of research on his guests which is a great sign of respect to his guests.
Watching Louis Theroux speak is like crack . Everything he says is balanced and well worth hearing. The guy could have a nuanced opinion on tooth brushing technique and I'd listen.

Hearing Louis speak always gives me the warm feeling of hanging out with a friend...that is pretty special. I get a similar feeling from Ricky Gervais, Louis CK and Brian Cox, too.
If you haven't watched any of Louis' documentaries, start with the Westboro Baptist Church documentary and follow the rabbit hole. Louis has this way of trolling people without being too obvious.

This is a great podcast. Recently I've been watching a few of Louis documentaries and I've found them really interesting as well as Louis style of journalism. This podcast was a great way of "getting to know him" a little better. The way he articulates his ideas, his opinions and how he's thinking. I'm fascinated by how humble he seems all while maintaining a highly objective attitude while using sharp analyzes to present his point.
He manages to put this ridiculous organisation down, really whipping out the rug from under their feet, in a gentle and funny way. Who doesn't love Louis 🙂
