You mean like he already was for how many years? Then came back and basically made every other so called great comedian realize they would now never be a legend. They might be good comedians, but will never be better then Dave.
Because it came up on my you tube and I thought the whole concept of Joe even speaking on Dave was hilarious. Ya fucking inbred tool who apparently has no clue how the fuck the interwebs work.
Mr. Mojo Risin dude I agree. Dave Chappell would be awesome on this podcast. Dave Chappell is without a doubt is my favorite stand up over. Killing me softly was so funny and the two Netflix specials are both great.
Dave is the greatest stand up comedian because he can be humorous while taking about real shit. He can be funny and at the same time make you think about the shit he's saying. He's just a naturally funny and intelligent person. Not to put other comics down but they use more ignorant jokes to get laughs.
Wetdookie Dave is number 3. Richard Pryor is the GOAT, he pioneered this shit. Eddie Murphy is number two. People often site his two iconic standup specials but the true essence of his standup is his small room shit. Dave is number three.
*kabbage420* i was totally down with everything you said until favorite podcast. Seriously, bro... have you ever tried to listen to any other podcasts? Any of your fave guests on here have wayyy better convos on other podcasts!! Just saying.
The thing about Dave Chappelle that makes him so great and what makes what he does so great is that it’s all authentic and genuinely him as a person.this goes for anybody who is in the entertainment business and whoever wants to be in the entertainment business.in short explanation.Have a swagger/style about yourself and if you want to be a comedian make sure deep down that you’re an actually funny person.you want to be a UFC fight?make sure you can actually fight.you want to be a writer?make sure you can actually tell quality stories.be interesting and have a knack for what ever it is.stay blessed and with action and dedication to our dreams hopefully one day we’ll see each other on our T.v screens
"He's so free, he might just throw his phone in the ocean and disappear for a year." That's Joe talking about Rickson Gracie, but it suits Chapelle to a tee. Note that both Chapelle and Gracie have this easy, flowing nature to their art. Both focus on the core issue of their material. Dave Chapelle's bits have nearly no fat nor fluff to them; that's why he can just stop....in the middle of a sentence without breaking flow. Rickson seldom used anything more adventurous than triangles, armbars, and normal chokes; no berimbolo chokes or wild neck cranks. The height of cultivation runs to simplicity.
Dave is amazing. He is good at making funny of races, politics, and stereotypes. What makes him amazing is he is actually smart and fair with his jokes....
I agree his latest specials aren't as good as his old ones, but thats becuase his old ones are legendary. His newest specials are still pretty damn good.
Chappelle is the best comedian of all time for me. People saying "bring back the old Dave" are missing a major point. If he came out now as a new comedian he wouldn't be successful due to the easy ways people get offended. His racial and sexual jokes would have no place and he would flop commercially.
I don't think Dave has changed at all, nor do I think that the "old Dave" needs to come back, he's no different he just shifted focus on what he talks about
Robert Osborne Keyword here being "offended". In my experience nobody truly gets "offended". Sure one can get hurt or angered or insulted, but those are genuine emotions, direct reactions to stimuli. To me, someone claiming to be offended reeks of narcissism clothed in self righteousness. When people say they are offended, what they're really doing is saying "I'm jumping on the bandwagon of a cause I sorta agree with but have no real stakes in or constructed opinion about!" It's the equivalent of following the trendiest social media item to show everyone else how you truly care! Sounds to me like people trying to get in on the act
I just dont lke looking at how buff he is, like old dave the character perfectly fit the comedy, and while it still does I dont wanna look at this dudes huge ass bicep, like does this guy wanna fuck me up or make me laugh. He definitely needs to wear some bigger shirts, one size up at least.
Dave's a super down to earth guy in real life. He just wants to be free of all the "Hollywood" bullshit. He has the freedom to do what he wants and not be told when or how or if at all to do a show. He lives outside of town down the road from me in "middle of nowhere" Yellowsprings Ohio. I mean he's free to be himself or whoever at the same time. He rides his motorcycles around town with no paperratze or bodyguards following. He's free to be as creative as he wants.
@@robertjohnson3786 I'd put Patrice over aries. Aries is funny hut he mixes red and blue pill comedy while Patrice is red oull from start to finish. Even his outtakes and crowd work are red pill lol
what I most like about Joe Rogan is that he tries (it looks to me so) to be objective and as open as possible. And he is never jealous of other people and so generous in complementing others.. I think that is really hard thing to do.
Dave and joe bahahahahah get out. Joe is number one in talking shit on a table across from other guys talking shit. No joke really enjoyable. His stand up is terrible dude you just compared him to one of the all time greats hahah. Joe the louder I scream the funnier I am Rogan
Chappelle is my favorite comedian and we all know he is hilarious, but the coolest thing is when you really start to appreciate how smart he is.. He can make you laugh about something that you think, awe shit, should I even find that funny, then take it to a place where he just really makes you think. What Dave says in his Netflix special about when he used to carry the cash on the train and puts that into context of what women feel like is something every young man should really hear and understand, that is what makes him a genius.
Tu b ja takle. You are no less. Believe in Yourself. U, chappelle and Rogan majja ayga. Light shining above your heads. And your greatness shining above it
Dunno about Connor !!... doubt he has same humour , called iron mike an old BITCH... tyson n chapelle would no doubt have uncle joe ..cryin laughing. .
Murilo Wohlgemuth Riffing usually refers to people making improvised jokes on the spot. You don’t have anything written, you just think of something and start making jokes about it. It’s a term that comes from musical improvisation.
Dave Chappelle is the greatest comedian of all time. I know people gonna cry about it but its the truth. Also he got his shit together and never sold out to money. Dave Chappelle had to walk away from the show cause he literally broke all other comedy sketch shows. Watching SNL now is like being forced to go to church. Wish him the best of luck in life.
Dave said that he has one more Netflix special in him...He said that as God told Abraham through the rainbow sign; no more water, it’s the fire next time.....Needless to say, I...CAN’T...WAIT..to see this shit!
The best part of this clip is the fact that Dave Chappelle popped in the comedy store last night for a random 10 30 show in the belly room. I wouldn't be surprised if he pops in the original room tonight at The Comedy Store
Have you seen the recording of him doing a impromptu stand up at an NYC comedy club at 2AM in the morning in 2009? He started at about 10, finished at like 2.30. it went on for 4.5 hours, just Chappelle talking, mixing his jokes with his opinion with things, goddamn. Dude just started talking with the audience like they were hangin out.
dave chappelle is the richard pryor of our generation . a once in a generation type of comedian . i like alot of comedians of all races so i dont put him in a category race specific like i wouldnt say hes one of the greatest black comedians hes just one of the greatest comedians . robin williams jerry seinfeld richard pryor chris rock some of my favorites growing up i was too young to see pryor in his prime but hbo would air his old shows when i was a kid and they were awesome.comedians are very important cos no Matter what youre goin through where you can sit back and laugh or go to a show with other ppl to laugh together its very important in society so in my mind thats important
If you start honing your show hosting and interview skills right now, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you’re already a “comedy nerd” or whatever… you could probably crowdfund your way to Montreal JfL for 2021 or 2022. Do it as a podcast with donations or Patreon funding. There’s enough comics there during Just For Laughs that getting 4 or 5 to say ‘yes’ for episode 1 of “The Green Room with Scott Summers” shouldn’t be a problem, and as long as it’s good, the next episodes should fall into place. Might have to change the name for copyright/trademark bullshit … but maybe not. Hit up Provenza on Twitter or his website, he’ll let you know who to contact for that. We’re all counting on YOU now, Scott. You’re our only hope! (srsly tho, I think that’s a reasonable plan and timeframe)
I disagree with Rogan about Chapelle releasing his specials to often. He already had two specials recorded before he made the Netflix deal. I rewatched all of material on Netflix like 4-5 times.
