@Snails40 Dolphins are not fish but mammals. Like every mammal, dolphins are warm blooded. Unlike fish, who breathe through gills, dolphins breathe air using lungs.
@@franklopez2702 yeah Joe Rogan enjoys hunting there's no problem with that. Humans have been doing it the whole time we've been in existence not to mention almost every other organism on this planet does it.
Zeke ZekeKan yes i know. I would love to kill a dolphin and eat it. Id like to kill a few other animals too but not with a gun i want to stab them to death it would be more intimate i think.
Years ago there was a place called Marineland in Florida just south of St Augustine. We went there on a Sunday, but they were closed. However, the entrance gate was open and the place deserted, so we just went in, after all, it's usually easier to be forgiven than get permission, lol What amazed me were the dolphins. They were very friendly, thinking we had fish, and we were very respectful of them. I especially noticed how, although they were all in separate pens, they each stayed face to face quietly through the gates between the pens socializing as best they could with each other. We left feeling how wrong it was to keep these amazing animals in captivity. I also once was swimming off a deserted beach on Jekyll Island, Georgia, and several wild dolphins came over and swam around us without being at all aggressive. These creatures deserve better from us.
Marineland is still there and it’s still open. The dolphins are not in separate pools from each other. They also work closely with UF and the facility is literally built into the ocean so fresh seawater is coming in and out every hour. They do not do shows and it’s very focused on education and conservation.
they still have a marineland in Canada and none of the animals there are doing well but they spend all of their money covering that up over giving them what they need or even paying their employees minimum wage
In Granby ,Québec , we have a beautiful zoo . They wanted to add dolphins doing tricks and stuff to the attractions . But one day , the man who use to train the dolphins for Flipper the TV series contacted the Granby zoo and talk them out of the project . I was really proud of the Zoo directors and staff for they listen a man who knew by experience and they understood . A lot a people around here saluted that decision to cancel that projet .

just had an experience the other week in Gulf Shores, AL. With the extended family at the beach. Decide to take the little ones on a banana float ride towed by a jetski. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. for people before us. Kids see some dolphins maybe 100' out. going crazy. Guy comes in, we get on raft, go out and we ride near them for a minute or two. There was at least 6; 2 adults with 2 babies and about 20' in front 2 other adults. probably 30' off the beach, just cruising along.
This was a good video and very true. Blackfish opened my eyes and these extremely intelligent animals do not belong in a cage. We have dumbass idiots protesting to opening the boarders and let 3rd world citizens in, why not go down to sea world or one of these other money hungry jails and protest the owners of these places The things we do for money
The problem with opening the border is we don’t know who’s coming in, don’t know where they’re going, often times the cartels sneak in sicarios to assassinate American police and judges and if one has an ounce of intelligence in their head they’d realize that that’s the best way to sneak in terrorists. So no the border issue isn’t about money friendo. And before you claim it some republican fuck knob I’ll just dispel that right here. My wife is an immigrant. We spent thousands of dollars trying to get her here, thousands more to get her daughter here, went through interviews and had to wait a year before she could even get a job. She earned the right to be here. She came from a country that’s just as bad as Mexico and has far more wide spread corruption and starvation. Don’t tell me some sob story about the plight of Mexicans. And don’t tell me they are better off here working as slaves. So before you sound off on the topic and label the opposition as idiots maybe think about all the immigrants who worked their asses off to get here legally, including those from Mexico who joined the armed forces to earn their citizenship rather than live off of welfare.

For summer 2019 one beluga whale was found with some gear on marked saint petersburg, a fisherman jumped in the sea and helped this beluga out of this gear. This russian whale was for most of the summer in the harbor of my hometown Hammerfest, they named him Valdimir (whale_di_mir) First he was feed by some whale people, after a while he learnd to hunt fish by him self, his stil alive as far as i know, swiming south afther the norwegian coust. A woman lost her phone at sea while filming Valdimir, he dived and pickt it up and gave it back to this wonan, phone was stil filming if remember corect, i will remember seeing the film in norwegian media, Valdimir me and my family could see daily in the harbour, they for sure has to be some verry inteligent animals
As said elsewhere: I got a story for this: I was at SeaWorld with a bunch of friends one time and we were in front of the dolphin tank where you could feed and pet them, my friends and I were standing quite a ways back because a woman had a baby in a stroller near there that was crying uncontrollably and the dolphins were avoiding swimming in that area, we kept saying hey move the kid back get the kid out of the way move the kid back, finally one of the dolphins swam out to the little ledge there where you could feed them hopped up on the ledge took a giant s*** and then flapped its tail and fling it out over the crowd as soon as it jumped back into the water it started laughing and swam away. Post Script: We also saw a Walrus masturbating. It has just reached sexual maturity and they put it in a tank with a female but it had not yet figured out what it was supposed to do with that new Forearm looking appendages coming out of it's crotch, but it really loved to stroke it and show it to the crowd...
I knew the people at the Dolphin Research Center in the FLA Keys. They had a dolphin that was rescued from a crappy aquarium. That dolphin was afraid of the open ocean. We got him to come out of the pen's gate with food (fish). He would come out, grab the fish and dart back into the pen. Their plan was to work him out more and more to get more use to the open ocean. They told me that other dolphins had escaped but would sooner or later show up somewhere people would notice him. Word would get back to the the center and they would go and bring them back.

"That is not a chicken, that is not something you keep in a cage." I don't think any sentient beings should be kept in cages, pretty disgusting that we as humans think that intelligence dictates the value of life and right not to be subjected to suffering as if being less intelligent somehow means they suffer less than us. By that logic it should be okay for me to abuse those who are mentally handicapped because they're not as intelligent as the rest of us after all, right?
So I guess you can hunt right? That’s what we should all do now? Hunt and trap and gather? And don’t throw the vegetarian line if “we can all survive on veggies”. We are mammals and part of the food chain, no different than any other omnivore. We’re not some alien species. We are built to eat meat and veggies. What is the solution to feeding humanity if we don’t have farms and animals meant solely for the purposes of meat production? What’s the difference between me using my deer rifle to shoot a deer in the wild versus using a bolt gun to kill it in captivity? As a Hunter and farm kid I’m genuinely curious how you thing the world works?

It’s always funny how people try to justify doing bad things to and eating some animals and not others. If you acknowledge harming and killing one living animal is bad you should follow that to its logical conclusion instead of these BS excuses like “we’re supposed to eat meat”
You can swim in the ocean and dolphins will come up to you. Happened to me in Florida sooo not sure why you need a tank or anything to "Swim with dolphins" jump in the ocean and DONE.
I know a person who works with dolphins trained to do deep diving tasks. When the workday is over they go back out in the wild, and come back the next day for work.
Watch the movie The Cove. And blackfish if you haven’t seen it. Then never give another dollar to anybody or any organization that traffics in marine mammals.

Always so nice with the dolphins Joe. Makes you wonder if the dolphins invented a human suit, that became famous and now tries to convince us to free them. Not saying that's the case, just thinking loud.
I remember this guys first episode. He was kinda defensive and a little douchey. Throughout time he evolved to be a very informative guest. Hope to see him every few years.

Dolphins are miraculous works of fine art called "life". Every Dolphin is so rare and unique that each one happens only once in time space and dimension. Just because they don't speak in the language of numbers to suck the joy out of life and devour the planet with thier ignorance (greed)...doesn't mean dolphins are stupid.

The UK dont have any captive orca or dolphin's anymore. The way the public feel's i dont think the U.K. will ever have these beautiful smart animals in captivity again.
im happy to say i have never, & will never go to a wild animal show, either water mammal, or land mammal, or any other type. i did go to an island in disney world back in the 80's, that was a swiss family robinson theme or some other type of lost on a desert island theme, that had tropical birds that were mistreated, but it was apparently shut down long ago & no longer exists. anyone who goes to these dolphin swims, etc, is just feeding the industry.

If they release the orcas back into the wild, they should atleast try a sanctuary first or if that's to costly, release a few captive Orcas together since they will somewhat be familiar with eachother
I think this is true with orca's. But if you ever swim with dolphins you wouldn't agree with that. The ones there are born and raised in captivity. They're happy and loving. Very well taken care of. Swimming with them was incredible.

Been watching or listening to Joe Rogans Podcast before anyone knew what podcasting was. I can't say I am a fan of his comedy, not that he isn't funny, probably just not my cup of tea. However, I have a great respect for him, especially in the last 2 years. I think the measure of a great person is their ability to change their mind. In his quest for learning I have watched him change and evolve. I am sure he will get slack for comparing dolphins to humans, but he stays true to his convictions no matter what. He has never followed the popular path, but the one that comes from deep understanding and contemplation. Although I do not always share his views, he always listens to the other side of the coin and tries to understand another persons perspective. A quality lacking sadly in todays north American culture.
