Met this bloke at an event in Canada 2 years ago, I was there on my own having dinner, and John was guest speaker that night. Saw me sitting alone and asked if he could join me? Told stories about 70,s NYC all night. He is the real deal.
Man, dudes being inside, dealing, pushing, buttfucked in prison, knife fights, gun down, that's probably why the music sounds so good and sincere. Nowadays we have internet pro-tools bands. And people call me a boomer for not liking this shit.
me too I met him at Burger King in Cleveland 2 years ago. he just ordered hamburger bread buns with Catsup and pickle & corn. He was nice. he signed my hat

While I was down in NYC, visiting with a friend, I decided to message John (we had been talking for a year or two at this point on fb) and see if he was around the LES. surer than shit, he was on his bike nearby and told me to meet him at this juice bar, liquiteria.. he bought me this vegan smoothie and we chatted out front for like an hour. dude is so damn cool and such an inspiration. if you see this man, i still owe ya a smoothie!
That's the biggest disappointment bro, he hates vegans just because he's a right-wing plant based. He once said that vegans are bunch of mamaluke leftist snowflakes.
Got the chance to talk to JJ after a Cro Mags gig, really nice guy! We talked about many things from his feud with Harley to his Iron Man training. Then Sick of it All played and after that Craig Setari approached the fans and we talked about boxing for a while. Great to see these NYHC legends still kickin ass.
Growing up in the hardcore scene these guys gave so much money from hardcore shows to animal rights.Homeless shelters amazing time growing up being involved in this scene changed my life. man Joe u got me totally reevaluating under arm deodorant the shit that's in it too is so fucked up.
The notion, of his particular account of PTSD is extremely accurate. Based upon studies done. Not just some personal opinion. And Joe, you said it spot on. You utilized different words, but I've experienced it, and heard from so many others who experience trauma. Bottom line is, "Victims of severe trauma seek further trauma itself, to the point of no return. Be it a physical manifestation/end to their current existence, or a psychological one. I've been collecting data on what percentage of the population, diagnosed with some form of psychosis/serious psychological disorder/psychological state of mind, find themselves at a suicidal state of mind (conscious or not), who also have a biological link vs. "Triggers", as they call it, from some form of trauma experienced, prior to culmination of the puberty-stage in life... Hope that made sense. I kinda threw it out there quickly. Gotta say, Always good shit Bro! You have more compelling content then any other podcast/show/whatever, than I've experienced as a viewer. spectrum as wide as a motherfucker!
f0ckdumont , Good feedback. As an FYI, I was specifically referring to the short conversation they had about trauma, and specifically traumatic experiences based in a sexual nature. Although it applies to all PTSD RELATED SYMPTOMS...
They've made society become a place where mental health issues and being suicidal is the norm. Imagine making a Tik Tok about your social anxiety when you don't actually have it. This will therefore cause further segregation between these folks and the help and treatment they actually need. As a Gen Z member, my generation is so brainwashed. We have absolutely no interest in being happy anymore because it's not cool. Being depressed and listening to depressed rappers/Pop stars who end up killing themselves over things that didn't truly matter is now the norm.
A lot of this guys views are ridiculous but I have no doubt this guy has lived a crazy life. Lead singer of one of the og hardcore bands, runs ironmans, time in the service during an interesting era, ghetto/orphan... Told some entertaining stories...
@@M0j0S0D0pe420 No...more likely that JJ is now (going back 4 years) a right-wing extremist, anti vaxxer, and conspiracy theorist who shits on people for having different opinions than him. It's kinda hard for anyone to disdain the principles of Krishna no matter what their own background is considering it centers around shedding materialistic urges and being of service to others before the self. Who can't get behind those ideas?
He is super good at making quick money. He gets the best ideas. He used to talk about how he wore a santa suit and would pretend to be mentally handicapped while ringing a bell like salvation army. Hes a survivor. No matter where you are in life, survive.
I’m a Krishna monk living at a Vedic college and ashram in the middle of the USA! We train souls on the devotional path of Bhakti. Please comment if you’d some like information on jumpstarting major progress in your spiritual journey. Hare Krishna!
Wait so the big food is making food that makes you sick so big pharma can make money off healing the damage done by big food. This is some next level shit, contrails aint got shit on this
Exactly m3talh3ad123. He doesn't kill the conversation with extreme one-sidedness and allows adjusting his beliefs. I think it's a healthy way to communicate and learn.
