Hey, fun fact: the people who portray characters in movies are actually just actors that are paid by a film studio to put on a performance (they’re fake and scripted). It’s kinda weird that you thought he was ACTUALLY the character in real life. Movies have been around for a while, did you just recently discover them? Having said that there ARE things called documentaries. Those are mostly real, but movies themselves are not real, neither are the fictional characters in said films. Hopefully this helps, Benjamin!
Kevin James is an actual legit athlete, he was a wrestler in high school, and one of his teammates was Mick Foley, who went on to become a professional wrestler, and Mick Foley said he was one of the few guys he did not like wrestling because he’d kick his ass, look it up, dude was jacked!
I had a whole new respect for Kevin after watching Here Comes the Boom, especially after watching the training scenes. But hearing straight from Joe and Bas about how legit he is, that respect just shot thru the roof. Good shit.
I'm in Providence, RI, around 2008 or so I was staying in the Biltmore Hotel, I ordered room service, I'm a big tipper, so the waiter tells me he just delivered a pizza to Kevin James and got tipped $100 dollar bill, also, if you look up Mick Foley high school yearbook, Kevin James is jacked in wrestling team photo
Gotta love Kevin James guys the definition of gentle giant it's terrifying knowing what he's truly capable of yet you never would expect that of him cause he's so calm and hilarious
Before he became an international Grammy award winning artist, he went through all the trust fund money he made as a boy, playing cousin Oliver on the Brady Bunch and being Jodie Foster's stunt double in 'Taxi Driver'...People forget, John Denver was the most sought-after Bouncer/Cooler in the Country!...He trained Randell "Tex" Cobb, Mr T, Eric "Butterbean" Esch and many more... Roadhouse's "Dalton" was based on J.Denver...
In order to forget something you have to have known about it first LOL.... when are people supposed to pick up this nifty factoid about our buddy James here? Aside from your comment of course haha!!
I like how Kevin went from a random side "side" character on "Everyone Loves Raymond" to getting his own show as the SAME character FROM "Everyone Loves Raymond" and had Ray Romano looking out for him early in his career
When you're a Martial Artist, you recognize things like how a person holds themselves, stances, how a person walks, or just simple upper body movements. Once he got back into shape, he changed from Wrestling stances, to Martial Arts stances. Kevin James is a different kind of person.
Matthew Bittenbender that’s true but I was just making a joke as if he wasn’t an actor and a real mall cop lmfao I’m a security guard too but I’m starting cinematography at my university so let’s see what happens
Knowing that Kevin James did all his own fight scenes for this movie AND lost 80 pounds over 14 months of training for it blows my mind. The guy deserves so much more respect than he gets, as does Here Comes the Book. Super underrated movie
On "king of Queens", they did a bit about pole dancing. He was teaching his wife some moves, and wheh hoisted his 260 lb.ass upside down and HELD IT. I knew he was a powerhouse!
Always love Bas. I remember watching his fights when I was young. He is a funny guy too and down to earth. Met him in. Milwaukee long ago and talked about tons of stuff. Just regular dude.
Well yeah but it's just like talking to Mike Tyson, you have to know how to talk to different kinds of people with different kinds of personalities. Fortunately,Joe can talk to anyone and is a great communicator.
Im pretty sure Kevin James was the top wrestler in his high school or college and got injured then his position was taken by Mick Foley as he was 2nd. Mick said that in his documentary!
It's true he says it in the following documentary www.amazon.com/WWE-Mankind-Life-Career-Foley/dp/B00AZL307O Also they show a picture of mick and kevin on the wrestling team
King Of Queens is my favorite sitcom of all time. That, and Seinfeld. Along with Kevin, Jerry Stiller absolutely made King of Queens. It would have been impossible for them to choose a better Arthur, or even anyone who could have done anywhere near as good as Jerry did. Such a legend
Oddly enough it is pretty damn funny for network TV. Never gave it a chance till it began airing in syndication. Probably one of the last genuinely funny sitcoms to air.
@Snaggle Toothed Snaggle Toothed Let people enjoy things. Your opinion is coming from a place of heart, but at the end of the day it's just what you think. You can't tell people what they can and can't personally find funny for whatever reason they laugh, it's just not fair. And of course you're allowed to have your own opinion, but saying people "must be in some kind of institution" because they find a comedy funny that you don't find funny... well that's just a bit silly, isn't it? I'm not arguing with your points, they make sense to me, but that doesn't mean people still can't enjoy something if they find it funny. It certainly doesn't mean they should get made fun of. I get you're trying to prove the whole 'people are sheep' point, but I don't think that's the right way to go about it.
You do realize that he doesn’t owe you anything right?..just because he’s in movies doesn’t mean you can just bother him whenever you feel it necessary..Ive worked on one of his houses and the dude was one of the most humble respectful guys I’ve ever met..he bought my entire crew breakfast and lunch for two weeks straight and even FaceTimed with our families..I’m not sure of your personal experience but I think you may have caught him at a bad time on a bad day which we are all entitled to have from time to time
Dylan Gruenloh I could care less if you don’t believe the facts of my career nor could I care less what you think of me but truth is truth..I don’t believe you were even within waving distance of Kevin James in the first place but at absolute best you just sound like an entitled wiener who did not get a wave back probably due to you feeling like the guy owes you something because you “pay” (you claim it’s hilarious that I “assume” you think he owes you something then collapse your own argument and contradict yourself when you say he’d be working at McDonald’s if it wasn’t for fans paying for his movies🤣😂🤣..which is it??)for his movies 🤣😂 get over yourself
Kevin james just seems like the best guy to have a laugh with. One of the few actors who's personality draws you in despite whatever he's in. King of queens really gave the guy infinite credit lol
Here Comes the Boom was a fun little movie. Not great, but still fun. The best part? The interplay between the four leads - Kevin James, Bas Rutten, Henry Winkler, and Salma Hayek. Individually, they're all a joy to watch. Together, they were even better.
Kevin's standup "Sweat the Small Stuff" is one of the funniest specials I've ever seen. If you can find it in its entirety, go for it!! You won't be disappointed I promise.... So many of his jokes from that special have stuck with me over the years.... he really nailed it.... ;))))
My parents sent us to see Kevin James live for xmas one year. He killed. I was a fan before, but didn’t really know much beyond seeing him on queens. So hilarious
News Radio is still one of my favorite all time sitcoms, it was really underrated! It was just hitting on all cylinders when Phil Hartman was killed. (RIP Phil.) It sounds like Joe may not have loved the experience, but it was a great show imo.
I’ve always loved Kevin James in King Of Queens he physically looks like and acts like my father when my father is acting goofy, so it makes me smile cause I see my father in him
That international assassin movie shows his actual toughness. At the beginning he has a fight scene and instantly you can tell that he isn’t someone you’d feel confident against. Loved it!
Old video I know.......But Kevin is just an awesome dude. Not just as an actor , or possibly a martial artist , but as a human being......the dude is about as genuine as they come.
Even If Kevin never did anything else besides King of Queens-he’d still be up there with the legends of comedy, he was so freakin good on that show!!! Dude is legend at being Everyman, and that’s one of the hardest most sought after abilities of every actor, musician, politician-everybody wants to be able to reach and relate to the regular guy...he mastered it!! Long live the King! 💪🇺🇸💪🍻🙏🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸🍻🇺🇸💪
I just watched Here Comes the Boom, with my kids. They loved it. I really enjoy Bas and Kevin together. It is like Harold and Hardy. Too bad Kevin Can Wait was cancelled because I really want to see more of Bas.
Mall Cop is one of the funniest movies ever!! The damn Segway's with the little cop like sirens on them.... his hypoglycemia.... his little "ticket book" haha!! So priceless....
You could do break downs of fights, like those moments when a fighters killer instinct reacts, how they work the other fighter into how their game plan did or didn't work, like play of the day sort of thing, explain their movements or styles, mistakes etc, I'd watch that everyday
And Kevin's shorts on youtube have been epic...That Becky thing was killer! And " I miss Baseball"...LOL..It's nice to see these guys give him respect!
Well that makes sense. If you’re a drug user, you surround yourself with druggies. If you’re a musician, you have other musicians as friends. Comics surround themselves with other comics, and martial-artists are going to be friends with other martial-artists. It’s common interests.
Kevin James is a very funny guy. 👍🏻👍🏻. Love all the tv he does. He needs to do more tv and films. Yes it does look like he can move and hit in here comes the boom. Good luck to you sir. Enjoy. 👍🏻👍🏻
