Agreed, one of my favorite fighters to watch. He fought to beat ass more than it was for the $ like it is today. I think in the 4 or 5 years bully beat down aired Miller did lose to one bully
Let's be real tho he survived in the with GSP.. thats about all you can say about that fight. Don't say went the distance like he did anything in that fight lol
Gracie, shamrock, severn, Keith hackney, Emanuel yarboro, kimo leopoldo, Joe son, Patrick smith, art jimmerson, Jason deluca, tank abbot, Scottie ferozo, a young vitor belfort, Marco ruas, Dave beneto, Oleg taktarov, Harold howard, Paul varlanz, might be confusing a name here or there but man, those first ufcs were some wild crazy days! I miss the rawness of it
If Floyd ever made the mistake of getting in a cage with Connor it would be a life changing experience for Mayweather. About equal to a man getting raped by a man in front of the whole world.. Confidence gone, prob kill himself.. if not He walks around quiet, no eye contact, lots of sitting in the dark, lots of tears, no more loud mouth BS..
@@@nurse425"Connor thinking he can box" really..? Break this down.. Connor fights his first boxing match ever. In his first fight his opponent is 49 and 0, arguably the best ever, this fight went 10 rounds and Connor actually won rounds. Think about that. . .. that said, you're right, as much as Floyd runs his mouth about fighting MMA, Deep down He knows his roll..
Dude’s a bully. Not even a little bit clever. If you think an antagonistic shitheel that relentlessly taunts people that aren’t in a position to fight back and humps visibly uncomfortable reporters is hilarious, you need to check yourself. “Chill, bruh. It’s just a joke. I actually like him,” -Every in-denial bully ever
I normally agree with Joe on MMA shit, but why does he insist Arona was never the same after the Rampage fight? It's not the first time I've heard him say this. I'm not even a fan of Arona, but ALL of his most impressive accomplishments came after that fight. First middleweight to beat Wanderlei in forever years, runner up in the middleweight tournament, beat Sakuraba and Overeem. He only went on to lose 3 more times, 1 was a SD with Wanderlei and another was Shogun in his absolute prime. No shame in that, both those guys were absolutely top 5 P4P at the time.
Right.. went on to beat Wanderlei (ax murderer Wanderlei, not UFC Wanderlei) beat down Alistar Overeem.. Did get himself beat to shit by Shogun tho.. after that I'm not so sure he was the same?
People never talk about how Rampage was losing that fight before the slam. I remember thinking they should stop it but they let it go and something amazing happened. Remember that next time you're hating on Mario yamasaki lol
@@oldironsides4107 Absolutely100% not a headbutt KO. Arona was out from the slam when his head bounced and hit Rampage, splitting his eyebrow like a microwaved hot dog.
That finger wave, when Sakuraba was on the ground defending was one of the greatest pride moments of all time imo. Without a doubt he got more people interested, and made so many fans. That was such a legendary moment.
Rogan gives Mayhem credit for beating a washed up Sakuraba but says Arona wasn't the same after the Rampage fight even though he won nearly all his fights after Rampage including a Sakuraba in his prime.
Gotta relax like Fedor did when he got full bodied suplexed on the back of his head, then just rolled over like nothing even happened and won the fight. 🤘
Joe saying that Arona was never the same after the Rampage fight isn't really true. He did only fight 9 more times but went 6-3 beating Wanderlei Silva, Overeem, and Sakuraba in that stretch. 2 of his 3 losses were again Shogun Rua and the rematch with Wanderlei. So he did quite well actually.
I remember when Mayhem was on Jason Ellis Show, he was always a riot. There was a story of him walking into the studios with a leg injury, he was hobbling down the halls built like a brick shithouse and laughing like a psychopath. They said all he needed to complete the look was an axe😂 The people that didn’t know him were straight up terrifiedLOL He had some truly great stories
K G I believe it was a completely unaffiliated organisation but run by all the old PRIDE bosses cough cough gangsters cough cough but importantly it was AFTER ZUFFA bought PRIDE. they are pretty much the same except for legal and financial reasons
I met Rampage and a pool party in the Philippines many years back. He told me the same thing when I went to take a pic with him. Something to the effect of "get your fucking hand off my shoulder". lol, great times
Mayhem is for surley a character,I feel bad he has genually bad mental health problems and no one tried to reach out n help the guy. He’s a damn good fighter as well and a great showman
@1:01 Mayhems only disqualification that I can remember is when he kicked Jacare when jacare was down but coming up and caused a bad cut that the dr stopped the foght over and since jacare was on the ground mayhem was disqualified. This was in Dream or pride Fc not sure witch organization but I remeber the fight well
When I was around eight years old we had a Hotbox for all you 80s and 90s kids you know what im talking about ... Sooooo we got all the PPv fights for free .... I watched Royce gracie and ken shamrock .... Back then it was a tournament style setup where you had to fight multiple times in one night to win ... Absolutely crazy no weight divisions nothing
Ari really shouldn't be going shirtless. Whether he is doing it is an inside joke or a reverse joke- he looks like a holocaust survivor on an episode of the Simpsons. Not cool.
I don't agree only for one thing - that Arona was never the same after the slam. He beated Wanderlei the next year which is a good accomplishment to say at least.
Rampage and BJ Penn are my all time favorites. Mayhem was a damn good fighter too, sad that he can't get his life together. With his personality, coulda had it all.
Never even thought to about meeting a ufc fighter until seeing Mayhem on his Bully Show. I saw thought he was the coolest guy. Like I imagined we would hang out in a sea of *SOLID 10s*
Now roga n i always thought I wanted to see you right more but your old casts are so much better and your knowledge means alot. I am glad you are with us today with a brain that seems to work at full capacity. I will never take you for granted because that's exactly what I did with mayhem. I feel like i knew mayhem and now he just seems to be a more extremely mentally off person. Some of his actions are a less mild version of my father who i love very much. I am just so glad I never pursued fighting like my dad and others who have lost the ability to be happy. I would mind less if I was happy people but they seem so miserable and just so misunderstood.
Mayhem was a good fighter at one point in time, and let me Say that I am a Fan. Using Sakuraba, as a landmark on how good of a fighter someone is concerns me lol. SAK is most known for the Battles in the ring that he lost... in fashion. Legit fighter, better than I could ever be of course. Big Ups to Joe for talking well about his fight career.
