People need to stop using michael Phelps. He smoked pot at a party once and got caught, hes not a stoner. Snowboarders are great examples though. Trust me I'm all for talking about successful stoners, but it discredits the cause when were disingenuous about it. Theres a reason I moved to colorado, I love what weed does for people, and love all the progress we are making.
well its not that, its just he has no idea what he is talking about and anyone that has a negative stance on smth before they even understand it is being stupid
This guy is the kinda dude that waits for the other person to stop talking just so he can counter you. He’s not trying to understand. He’s trying to be right. Not listening well just speaking out his ass
@Kingdom Warrior nah I’m saying in the beginning, he was talking as if he was a pot smoker, like that kid tryna be cool infront of other people but I knew he ain’t smoke
maybe joe is defensive, but this guy literally has no idea what hes talking about. i understand joes frustration with this guy whos clearly never smoked.
@@Luminous03 I don't. I was trying to make a funny point, on a RU-vid video. 🤷🏿 He came across a little self righteous and hypocritical. Like the above comment, everyone has an addiction. His could have been aided by a medical condition but so can an Alcoholic or Pothead. ✌ Thanks for participating!
Yeah, usually when someone prefaces something with "I don't dislike subject or I'm not against subject," you can pretty much guarantee they are uneducated about said subject, and/or are against or dislike that subject. That's exactly like the person who has to start a sentence with "I'm not a racist, but." Yeah, you're probably about to say some racist shit, huh? lol.
Matt barnes had a trash game on the offensive side of the ball...he was literally a liability on offense, he was a good defenser, thats it...he has a solid opinion
@@belgiumsfinest3875 youre correct but thats the thing, nobody said he was great. but he was damn sure good enough to play. its not like he rode the bench. you dont get to play as long as he did without being a little better than average or better. i know a few people personally that were in the league and hardly played if at all. some rode the bench for a few months and were let go.
Why is dude this dude acting like NBA players aren't great? Anyone who makes it to the NBA and smokes is proof you can smoke and still be more than just productive.
Yup hardest sport to actually make a team in. Maybe not hardest skill wise but odds wise is the toughest. Only 30 teams with 15 players on each roster max. That’s insane
I know right. Whenever someone even calls a high school varsity starter trash I'm like I guarantee this dude can sauce up 99.9% of the population. Then college players are incredibly good, and pro players, even G League bench players are great

High: 3 people start approaching you in a parking lot. My guy you already knew they were coming. You’ve waiting for them almost. Sober: you probably think nothing of them until it’s too late.
It's funny how it's different for different people. I know guys who kill it when they're drunk and I can't play at all like that. For weed, played my best pool after good indica, but I play worse on sativa.
Everyone I know who's semi-decent at pool says there's a sweet spot of drunkness that makes them play far better. I've witnessed it, usually around 3 drinks and they're in the zone. Hardly surprising that weed would work the same way for a motivated stoner like Rogan. Meanwhile this guy is here shouting no it doesn't when he doesn't have a clue about either thing lol. Clownshoe.
And then he goes on to talk about Matt Barnes like hes anywhere near the level of skill Matt is on. Then Joe brings up jiu jitsu and he tries to discredit it like its less practical than basketball.
It s not the same for everyone but i play pool better with some weed in my brain, i gain more focus and also clear my mind for that game, also the weed is not the same everywhere
This guy talking about weed not being good for you or being someone else not being good enough at HIGH LEVEL PROFESSIONAL SPORTS is absolutely amazing to me
His comment about matt Barnes was so fkn dumb, basically said since Matt Barnes ISNT hall of fame worthy weed fucked up his entire career and that’s why he wasn’t a great player like wtf? Dude looks like he sits on his futon all day eating Doritos but he somehow thinks he’s accomplished enough to say whether a pro player has done enough or not 😭😭
This guys understanding of weed is just as good as Joe’s understanding of the NBA which makes this conversation funny because they don’t understand each other at all 😂😂
@@jan8742 not really. He doesn't even count his own title cuz it was with the Warriors and he didn't play. But he was still a pro athlete in the NBA! Making millions!
I play secondary school football(or soccer) and I find being high helps me out. Kind of makes me concentrate on one thing easier and also gets rid of aches and pains
Before this I was watching a video about what the voyager found after 42 years in space, then I saw “was jr smith high” and I dropped everything to watch it
I sim race and I ALWAYS smoke before a race. With out it I can't stay fully focused and have consistently slower lap times. When I smoke lap times are consistently improving.
Joe could have been a little nicer about it and said "Japanese jujitsu will wreck somebody who isn't a fighter. In a street fight or MMA, it's mostly worthless because it's gotten too formal. Brazilian jujitsu is great for one-on-one fighting, and it's highly practical. It's another one that can be kind of useless in a street fight - too much focus on holds." Instead, he wanted to give the guy a little jab by telling him it'd pulverize him. No crap it would, the dude's about as much a fighter as Joe Rogan is a computer programmer. It's silly to say it'd work on the guy who has never had a reason to get into a physical fight in his life.
NaziAssUtube How is it useless in the street? When the fight goes to the ground, which most of the time fights do, that’s when Jiu Jitsu comes in. Triangles, armbars, chokes, etc. Jiu Jitsu is a huge advantage that one has against someone that doesn’t know it in a street fight.

lol if bjj is useless in the street, what are you gonna try if they guy throws you down? I've been picked up by a huge dude and slammed on my back. I have no training in bjj, but just the simple basics that i knew kept me from getting destroyed once he was over me.
What episode is this on? I found this by googling if Jr Smith was high during game 1 of the finals lmao, I searched "Erik Griffin Joe Rogan" and I didn't see any JRE episodes
1 year later looking at this. As someone who smoked avidly to focus, run and write it truly does enhance focus but it builds a dependency. After letting it go a burden or “cloud” was lifted from my mind but I haven’t been as focused as when I did smoke. What y’all think?
It’s weird that they’ll admit successful people would be successful without weed, but don’t admit lazy ass people are lazy without weed lol ERIK GRIFFIN JUST WANTS TO BE RIGHT ON JOES SHOW. Point blank period, plus he kept giving snarky little smart ass remarks under his breath like a douchebag. That’s why joe brought up how jiu jistu would kill him, Erik was acting like a snarky little square and getting on people’s nerves with his uneducated stuck up attitude.
This guy is amazing. He’s an expert on weed but has never tried it and just has some stigmatized concepts of stoners. Truly amazing. This guy inspires me to be an astronaut without knowing anything about physics or astronomy
Because people will cluelessly defend alcohol and tobacco which are known to kill yet a plant that hasn’t killed anyone gets outlawed, the guest doesn’t really seem to understand what weed does but is spouting out his uneducated bs :/
As someone who smoked a quarter everyday for 7 years. There's more negatives than positives when it comes to weed. Are there positives sure, but in now way is it good for a society other than medical use. It's a pretty simple concept. Are other things legal that are bad for you, absolutely but that's not what were talking about.
I agree with Joe on playing pool after a few hits. It does make me get focused and I don’t over think the shot. Just go with the flow but focused if that makes sense
Joe I agree 100%. I played pool the other day sober and I overthought everything, missed so many shots. I got high and then played pool and things just clicked... I do better in video games high as well, and during football in high school it helped me act rather than overthink.
I swear when im high and listening to music i hear every word and understand every bar or line whatever u wanna call it in music, I literally experience whats its like to be in those movies where u hear no background noises but u know they are there but all the camera is focusing on whats in front and then the background kicks in
so with your logic the doctors who work with meth and morphine know LESS than the patients they give it to, just because the doctors haven't experienced it but their patients have? What kind of logic are you on?
@@groovenfish9531 The doctors errors and their prescribed drugs are responsible for around 250000 deaths each year in US which is third cost of death after tobacco and alcohol related deaths, and for comparison most people using cannabis didn't consulted a doctor and how many died from cannabis use? Zero!, Even junkees on heroin don't die close to that number, so you are not giving me a good example trying to argue my point.
I sucked at school until I started to smoke regularly. It motivates me and I went from one of the worst math students, with a great lack of ambition, to actually the best in class, even to this day. I hated school, with weed I actually like it, even mathematics, the most hated subject for years before I smoked. I clean my room much more often than when I don't smoke. I am sure I'm not the only one with this experience. To me weed, alongside other substances, is a performance enhancer and a motivating nootropic that seems to improve not only my thinking but also my articulation, I find myself using words I have never used before, weed has been a great aid for improving my language skills. I believe it depends on the amount I smoke, but if I smoke the right amount I can fight my procrastination problem a bit.
My best cardio sessions come from 2 joints before hand. My swims are ridiculous. I yell at myself like I was my drill Sgt. (He was is a combat experienced, Ranger.)........his words helped me get through my deployments to Iraq.......i also feel it helped me help my teammates get home.......i was on point and never faltered. Thank you sgt bowman.
Marlin Brantley that’s a perfect explanation. It can you bring you down if you’re already down. It can also enhance your life if you’re already in a great place.
Thats the thing....The guy doesn't have the experience to be able to talk about marijuana with anyone who knows and has as much experience with marijuana as Joe does. That would be like me arguing about how to replace a radiator in a car with an experienced auto mechanic. I don't know shit about replacing radiators. I can change oil, tires and add fluids...thats about it. That guy doesn't have a dog in this fight because he is so ignorant to the facts.
Karl Papp Your psychotic attitude is what makes sober people look bad- Not people who smoke. Maybe you could use some pot to calm your crazy ass down. Shooting people in their head for smoking a plant? Get some help.
James Danowski yeah bro it's funny how people that never smoked feel like they can give their opinion. Lol on top of that they compare weed to like crack or coke. Lol even booze is more destructive. Dumbs fucks.
I like the "tunnel vision" part. I like to hit the bowl, a joint or even a blunt right before I draw or go to the gym. And when I draw I do get a tunnel vision like focus on the image I'm drawing. I look at the clock what feels like 15min and I end up being there forever.
Weed isn’t for everyone, so it’s arrogant to automatically assume less of someone because of it. I’ve smoked socially and independently and came to the conclusion that for myself; it didn’t help me improve who I was as a person mentally, and I am envious of those who can recreationally use it on a regular basis and still function productively. I have nothing against avid ganja users, but I will say that it should be used as a reward system rather then a coping mechanism.
It’s been years since I’ve done that, but I can absolutely attest to this. I’m a pretty below average video game player, but when I smoke weed, I get locked in. Used to average like 2-3 kills a game in Halo. High, I would actually win those muthafuckers haha
