@@richardsuarez2146 Hear ya brother. Been lost or stranded in more than one parking lot. They we're great times. Just took the wife to see Ted Nugent and we had a blast. Funny thing I expected hell raiser heaven in the parking lot but it was a bunch of people our age chilling smokin and laughing.. had a blast.
I saw him play once, and never have I heard a guitar tuned like he did! He rolled the string off, then up right into the note , and you could hear the tubes in the amp all lining up...phenomenal ears, amazing !
In the 70's at SF, Winterland they had no sound ordnance or curfew for groups to playing. Many played until the crowd thinned out at 2 am. Deep Purple was the loudest I ever heard.
The great Joe Vitale on drums check out this drummers solo album “roller coaster weekend”. He quit his gig with Ted Nugent to join Barnstorm, Walsh’s new band! In 73’
Simply one of the best rock songs and guitar riffs ever (and slide! a lot of the time.) Thanks for posting, I’ve never seen this live version before and it’s brilliant.
@@joewalsh6633Just want to thank you so much for the ongoing inspiration sir. Music is the most powerful energy in the universe, going through some rough waters at the moment, but as long as I have my Les Paul, a decent amp and these songs, it’s all I really need in life 🙌💯🎸❤️
Saw him with the Eagles , Folsum field in Boulder Colo. 78 or 79 (can't remember now LOL) It was one of the old Colorado Sun days. Multiple bands, place was packed even the field (where we were) . You will never hear a louder rendition of a song than this one when played with a Colorado crowd . Fun times :)
Your song “just leave a message maybe I’ll call. Hits my heart. So proud of your sobriety. I have a short time but your music keeps me going one day at a time. Thank you. My amends to my mother are not working out so good. I could use your prayers and help. I have a higher power…it is music. Keep going please. Xoxo
Blessings with yours recovery, and remember--all you can do is to make the apologies; it's up to those to whom you apologize to accept or not. As my sponsor used to say, "You can only clean your side of the street." Prayers already in progress for you...
I remember rocky moutain way when I was a child in the early seventies my big brother had this album. I was so excited and intriged by it. It sounded so cool. Joe has always been one of my favorite guitar players ever.
Joe is so cool ! Thankful he survived many near fatalities over his career , and turned his life around - I think he became a born again Christian , and he has given thanks and glory to God because of his sobriety . The good Lord has delivered many of us , myself included . I remember listening to Joe give an interview about “Rocky Mountain Way “ - he said if he knew he would’ve had to play that song 5,000 times , he wouldn’t have written it ! Pretty funny hearing him say that . Thanks for many decades of pleasing your fans Joe ! Love ya brother !
Oh, so very good is this performance. --[1] On today, 12/9/23, it's hard to believe that this concert was 40 years ago. --[2] Questions: a) At what festival was this concert? b) Who are the good bass player & especially the really strong drummer? --[c] Who is the hot babe background singer? Today, 12/9/23, she is probably a 70-year-old grandma with 10 grandchildren. 😲😲😁👍 --[3] We saw Joe & the Eagles in Nov 2022, here in New Orleans. The best non-vocal line of this Hotel California Eagles concert was Joe's line: "You know? It was better for me to be in my 20s in the 70s, than to be 75 in the 20s." Being 75, one year younger than Joe, Joe was so very correct. 🤣😂😁😁 Richard
Fantastic guitarist and zany fellow too! One of my most memorable moments in a 30+ year ham radio "career" was the night I heard this unmistakable voice on the 80 or 40 meter band I was tuned into....heard the callsign and first name so I looked it up in the database: sure enough, THE Joe Walsh gabbing with his pals. And he was FUNNY!!! Walsh being an extra class operator and myself a general class, the section of the band he was operating on was outside my privileges. Could only listen in to him!!! 😢
