jn: They don't realize that communism and fascism meet in certain areas. Those are the areas that involve building a one-party authoritarian state using propaganda and a charismatic leader to take over one after other institution that has the power to hold the government accountable in one way or another: the media, the education system, the judiciary, the institutions of religion and the legislature . In that, they are the same. In the matter of economics, they are different. How else could a Putin prosper in a communist regime and then become a right wing, nationalistic fascist leader without batting an eyelash?

Cuban American here. - I am familiar with Castro's long speeches. Castro's was more logical but boring and full of long rants on conspiracy theories. Trump's speeches are just as long, but less rationale though less boring. Immunity is what he wants. He wants the presidency to have absolute power no matter what, like a King, a Little Kim, a Putin, or a Mango Mussolini. In other words, he wants the presidency to be above the law. If that happens, then we can no longer call it 'the presidency'. It will be King, or some other dictator moniker like whatever it is in North Korea. Trump is a bloviated narcissist. I think that when he won in 2016, that he actually thought the presidency did have absolute power and was sorely disappointed when he found out he didn't. Why do you think he fired so many people from his nepotistic administration during his 4 years as president? Because they wouldn't kiss his mango colored @ss and do the crazy things he wanted them to do. His schtick is to scapegoat people into doing his crimes, like he tried to do with Pence. Like he did with his cult of maga morons, and militia sycophants now serving time for attacking the Capitol and a Constitutionally mandated governmental process. He gets other people to do his bidding and they are the ones who get in trouble, just like a bunch of his lawyers are now finding out.
