Joel Glazer responds to Manchester United fans & apologises for mistakes made with the ESL

Joel Glazer has sent an open letter of apology to Manchester United fans after the Manchester United Supporters Trust called on the club's owners to respond to them by today.
He commented and apologised for errors made in the decision to join the European Super League, the responsibility he feels he has for the club and a commitment to engage further with the M.U.S.T.
The supporters trust have responded stating they will determine their position based on the Glazers resulting actions rather than their words alone.

This is what I learned being a student in riot and a corporate employer. 1. People will riot, you gotta stall them. 2. You gotta make sure they have already spend much time rioting. 3. When they start to get tired, you gotta speak to them. Give them something to feel heard. 4. Then you gotta cook something else for negotiation purpose. It can be something the rioters did (unlawfully) as leverage and something that can't be done initially. People will eventually forget the projects. 5. You must not give in. You have to negotiate. When the riot will stop, lay low and improve the reputation in the market. After that, do what you originally intended to do. This will never work if the mass people won't give in untill a permanent solution is established.

The fact he skirted around the bigger issue with this open letter, tells me, the plan to make some token changes, but on the whole expect the usual status quo with the way the club is run.
