I love how Joey has been doing a little book promotion podcast tour. I'm a loyal Joint listener and Patreon subscriber and love Joey's solo work but its always a treat when he gets to banter with someone else and get fired up.
I don't even care he made up these stories, I don't care he gets upset and threatens people's lives because they talk about his Xanax addiction, or that he didn't kidnap anyone and did something weird at his abandoned daughters kindergarten. Tremendous
We have a "The Machine" movie. We know that the next movie will be a Joey Diaz origin story... It will have more sequels than the Fast & Furious franchise.
His story is inspirational to say the least, and if he managed to live through all of those hardships there certainly is hope for others too. However, progress is slow and it may take years before you start to see the evolution or your work paying off
A little over a decade ago I was a hopeless coke head, couldn't shake it, ruining my life. There was so much guilt and shame, I never thought I'd be able to turn it around. Joey mother fuckin Diaz taught me something that turned it all around. If I take responsibility for all the bullshit I did, I'm allowed to joke about it. When responsibility and laughter replaced guilt and shame things started getting better.
I watched this dude eat an entire 6 foot sub by himself in Reno back in ‘96. He was high as a kite and didn’t know he had a group of about 20 people watching him. Glad to see he’s alive and well!

Yeah John killed it, it's nice to see him forced to deviate from his usual shtick. The details were incredible. The part about still sorta hating his friends for sending him to rehab had me dying.

Joey ain't fucking around, it a reason why he is called the docta. Sprinkle some snow does the job but I tried to sprinkle MDMA in my Gin & tonic and that shit was working like a charm.
