Joey Diaz's Old Podcast Almost Killed Him (and Lee Syatt) 

The fact it’s called the ‘old podcast’ now is surreal to me , I grew up on the church . Literally found out about Theo von from tha church

I was living alone, working a 12 hour night shift 6 days a week, and severely depressed. The Church really kept me going back then. Joey and Lee will forever have a special place in my heart.

Joey's life has been so eventful, and I have heard the stories a thousand times because I listen to them on that many occasions, and I will listen to them a thousand more. I love Joey, and I was so glad to hear about him kicking the hard drugs.

These 2 geniuses recorded one of the funniest podcasts of all time I tellz ya. Whenever I need a good laugh I’ll listen to the Church episode when Uncle Joey, Lee and Theo eat shrooms! So many hilarious unscripted moments on that one. Just 3 dudes slowly losing their minds!! Tremendous

I lived in my car and worked at a circle K in the mountains in Colorado from 2017- 2019. I had lived there 1200miles away from my family and everything. Joey and The Church family kept me going..i was lonely...i had nothing. Id sit in a waffle house all night, living off their 6$ steak and egg..and id write all night. I really miss those times. Glad to see uncle joey ok.

Man it’s hard to believe those episodes are so far in the past. I’ll never forget them and always cherish them and the stories of course!

The Church episodes with Nick Turturro were my favourites. So funny. And if you were listening with headphones you'd often catch Lee's one-liners, pre comedy career. Great show.
