Cincinnati Reds star Joey Votto joined #FTLive for one of our most fun conversations so far. Votto starts things off by having some fun with Todd Frazier and AJ Pierzynski, talking about how he interacts with different MLB players at first base and at the plate. He talks about his dedication to the Reds throughout his career and the connections he's made with his teammates. The guys ask him about his legendary work ethic and Joey explains that he's not as naturally as gifted as Ken Griffey Jr. and others, so his hard work is what has led to his success. Votto touches on how much he enjoyed watching the WBC and gives some advice to AJ on social media before exiting with a laugh.

Votto is incredible and a clear HOFer to me. But I didn't realize until AJ starting riding him about his walking habit, they are only separated by like 50 hits. Votto's numbers are significantly better as an all around hitter, but pure number of hits, they are really close. Votto's got him for power and he is one of the greatest OBP guys in modern baseball. But that hit number is really close.

Oh boy.... Where do I begin? Let's talk about when I went to Chicago the same year Todd got traded to the sox. The reds were playing the cubs on 4th of july. Joey told me to blow off outside of the stadium when I asked him for an autograph. Granted he was probably p***** off because they lost 9 to 0 or something like that. The very next day I met Todd, and he signed a autograph and took pictures. They were playing the yankees that day it was july 5th. Got to see Chapman and Todd in the same game.. It was the year we traded everybody away.😢
