Me: vs Todd Me: at the table vs Todd Couch: where is todd ??? Me: how the hell should I know Audience: check under table Me: checked under table Todd: hi bro
@@tanny3080 John: "where you going buddy?" Todd: "Go for it." Todd likes to bait guys into losing hand control so he can tire them out. Todd will give up his arm but fight for hand control. John has to much experience to fall into that trap.
Anyone else keep coming back to this from time to time, will always be one of the most epic moments in armwrestling history. If John released a merch saying ‘where you going buddy’ I’d buy it instantly 😂😂
He does that many times. Even in the match with Devon, Ermes. Michael did elbow fouls constantly but it is Devon who was called for the elbow foul. It is ridiculous refs never see his fouls even when they are so clearly visible.
@@NittoNba44 you clearly don't understand armwrestling. Elbow pointing towards right in a losing position is an elbow foul as well. And it is your elbow that needs to be on the pad, not tricep or forearm. There is no need to post any timestamp. You can clearly see in the thumbnail itself. His shoulder is below the table and his tricep is on the pad. Seems that elbow coming off the pad is the only thing you consider as a foul. It is a waste of time posting the timestamp because you will reply back saying that's not an elbow foul.
@@yasaswynandavareek8399 None of what you said is true. You are allowed to move to your tricep and lift your elbow as long as your elbow remains in the area of the pad. It's a stupid fuckign rule, but it is a rule.
The legend has it that "where you going buddy" still remain a living words until now. A legendary quote from a legendary GOAT John Brzenk. When your opponent goes "king's move" then you simply reply it with "where you going buddy", it will be easily over with a win and he will be retired immediately.
@@justaguyfromreddit that match started off so well, I really thought ermes was going to win, it's quite sad how micheal is always under the table, brings shame to the sport.
Vural Mecbur haha ya i dont see how brzenk is still on top..if he got back in shape i think he'd beat larratt, underwood and all the big dogs again..hes just not fast enough or sometimes it looks like hes done trying and just along for the ride in his career now...lupkes is 60 and top 3 in arm wars he was anywayse...brzenk is 50 why couldnt he be back on top!
John catching that fully executed inside hook and pulling straight through michael todd out of it is literally outrageous. I dont even understand how that's possible - even michael knew he had him. Bonkers strength. Unreal.
I walked away from my phone for a minute and upon returning, closed the video seeing I finished it. I forgot the only reason the video was still open was because I was reading all the comments shitting on Todd lmao
Brzenk is one of my favorite athletes from any sport. Nice, humble everyday looking guy who doesn't give cheap shot trash talk. He went against the biggest and best for decades and was king of them all. A true badass.
I love this video. It shows John's brute strength against a cheater. John literally just lifted the cheaters whole body with one arm. I love when John says where you going buddy and then pins him. John is and will always be the greatest arm wrestler in the world 🌎
I know for real. Tons of matches like that. Elbow either sideways or off the back of the pad......but "it's his bone structure"...gimme a break. The king's move is fine, but correctly done without breaking the rules is tough and so sloppy looking. They claim that it's legit, but look at this video, an older out of shape John beat him. In his prime, John would have literally snapped his arm off
Mr mc nugget 1.2M views, EXACTLY. Ref is incompetent. That sort of King’s Move has no place in the game. If you can keep the elbow on the pad, and stay above the table, no problem. But Todd can’t. And doesn’t. And gets away with it all the time. And still lost to Brzenk. 🤣
I think it's THE best moment in UAL. I think "Where you going buddy" is now a classic armwrestling meme, and then of course the "Stand up. Stand up so I can win".
Todd comes across like that. I've just started watching arm wrestling and Todd is already the bad guy in my book.... Todd of all people accusing the great JB of lifting his elbow lol.
@@MrT67 he actually did lift is elbow.. but when you play the game like todd does.. and then complain about that.. it's triples your status as the biggest douce in the universe.. man i wish that guy would just snap.. litteraly
WAL 403: Cadorette did it with Todd in much better physical shape than he is here. It took him damn near 7 minutes and he was sweatin bullets... Also Cadorette injured Todd in that match so it was even more satisfying to watch the longest match ever.
@Harry Baals there's difference between Todd's king's move and Devon's. Todd is literally under the table and his elbow is everywhere else than on the pad and refs tolerate that. Devon at least doesn't play against rules.
@@LetsbeHonestOfficial No...most of the kings actually fought on the Frontlines during a battle. They were very brave warriors and ready to die. Some of them actually died while fighting. So your Explanation doesnt really work.
@@RkZaswmvak First of, I said ''a lot of'', not ''most of'', nor ''all of''. Secondly, it was more of a suggestion of a possible answer rather than an explanation, hence the question mark. Also, even if some or more kings back in the medieval times were expected to be on the front lines, their status didn't demand it, and we've rarely seen it happen in the last 200 years. The position of King allows them to be one of the few who can deny entering the battlefield, even if a lot of individuals who happened to be Kings decided to join. And even then, they were often protected by bodyguards and the best armor and weapons available at the time. A knight is obliged to fight if ordered to do so, a King on the other hand has the privilege of being able to decide. For example you could say that Todd uses the privilege of the position of a King to position himself under the table.
I like the chess analogy where, if you move your king (make king moves), it’s considered risky and bold - and maybe it’s your last resort to victory or staying alive. In arm wrestling, it’s quite risky due to the possibility of injury when your arm is positioned like that, but it’s often your last resort when your bicep- or wrist strength fails. It’s the ‘all-or-nothing’ aspect of both moves in chess and armwrestling respectively. Edit: I of course mean when you move your king to initiate an attack, not if you’re moving it to safety
that King's move is for folks who are no longer strong enough and who won't retire. Todd and Larratt are prime examples. so stupid... and you can watch that interview with Bowen. Both are trying to justify the use of that retarded move it's hilarious
it ain't so much of the move it self it's the fact that Todd's elbow is to high off the pad sometimes and shoulders below the table but the goddamn refs dont call it... at least larratt and Tim bresnan use the kings properly
@@DivineAtheistWannabe None of them are cheating. Obviously the ref would call it if they were. They're just exploiting the rules of the game. It does look bad though.
@pabnaful nah...Devon does use the Kings move in his arsenal, but he isnt nearly as far under the table as Todd! With Todd...you sonetimes can see only his head 😂
Damn, that roar Brzenk let's go is otherworldly. He's a God. That and watching Todd having a temper tantrum at the end while John celebrates. Beautiful and oh so satisfying.
Yeah usually I wouldn't say such a thing BUT you're damn right, anyone who wants to voluntarily put their arm in a position where it's at high risk of breaking, go ahead and break that summbi#$%
@@ansarmahmood6283 I feel that's why he gets up just before losing. He knew he couldn't hold it anymore and got up to protect his arm. One day he won't be fast enough and then... SNAP
They need to remove the “kings move” it’s not arm wrestling when your arm is strait out extended... it becomes a “can I pull this guys whole body weight with one arm contest” it’s a joke... ban the kings move! ✌🏻🇨🇦
@smalltownmoto Exactly, that's what I keep saying whenever I see this stupid move being used in a professional arm wrestling match. USE OF BODYROLL MUST BE BANNED, ONLY THE ARM SHOULD MOVE THEN IT IS ARM WRESTLING OTHERWISE IT'S NOT...!!!
@@atxconqueror6322 Armwrestling isn't like playing football you womp rat, can't you see that John totally destroyed Todd in this match despite the use of this stupid king's move....??? Haha keep posting jokes in the comment section butthurt dick move supporters...!!!
It should be banned. It does not meet the arm wrestling req. 1. Elbows not on pad. 2. This uses your entire weight. 3. Arm is straight. It needs to be recognized and banned.
Todds elbow is airborne, his upper arm is on the pad. @42 it's pointing straight into the refs face, then it slides sideways. Why not put a pressure sensor into the bottom of a 3" wide 4" long trench so as the pressure comes off the table a light goes off indicating a FOUL. Fair for everyone, no reliance on fair judging then either.
@@hellsbarbells4219 it’s hard. I just checked my elbow and there are three pointy bits.. including one a lot to the side (on the inside) . They’d need to define which of the bits count,
@@patinho5589 Agreed, maybe not pressure but a contact pad, electrical circuit, soon as the signal is lost an alarm sounds? Anode / cathode - elbow pad/ handle hold your connection to both completes the circuit?
His elbow is off the pad. It's to the side of it. That's the problem with the kingsmove. He uses his forearm as his base, not his elbow. The rules should require elbows down.
Just started following the sport. I am more used to seeing the long-bearded michael todd, so wasn't really sure who john is fighting when i clicked on the video. 2 seconds into the match, and down he goes, right under the table. And i went - yep, this is todd alright.
