Even though questions were easier back then, knowing everything he did shows he's a well rounded person. Sports, Movies, Architecture, History, Art, Gadgets, Mythology. He may not be Ken Jennings but he's clearly a guy who listens to the world around him beyond his own interests. I think he has said he was happy to fall out of celebrity status but part of me thinks if he had wanted to go for public office like Senator or Governor he'd have done very very well. He's cocky but in a very likeable way, a down to earth smart guy.

There are certain exercises that even average people do on a daily basis that improves cognitive function. Constantly reading, memorizing songs. Saying something verbally and associating it with an image improves memory. You may not even notice because your memory will start to flow naturally. I don't have a complete eidetic memory, nor am I anywhere near the best, but I have been told to have a rather gifted one. My earliest memories are before I was 1 year old. The small things are sometimes easier to remember then the larger things. You just have to care or you'll have visual and auditory cues that tie something to another. I was very talkative when I was younger and that helps.
