John Currie is a Jeep suspension expert. He explains how the RockJock AntiRock Sway Bars came into use and why they are needed both on and off road.
the job of a sway bar is to limit body roll at each end of a vehicle. Sway bars off road can limit articulation. While disconnecting front sway bars helps, the lack of roll control is not good. The criteria for a good, effective off road sway bar is to not limit travel of the suspension in order to allow full articulation. But the sway bar will help control where weight is transferred during articulation so that tire loads a re better distributed. The balance between the roll resistance provided between the front and tear sway bars is important. Finding that balance is challenging and the reason the RockJock AntiRock Sway Bars work so well off road. They allow a little more body roll on the highway, but not so much as be uncomfortable on winding roads.

Would have really enjoyed the explanation of how to accurately adjust these. I'm a little stumped on my install for the XJ. Think I know what I'm doing but would rather watch someone else do it 1st correctly.

I noticed he mentioned different weights. I'm buying front and rear for my JLUR, but it's a diesal. Do they make one specifically for the diesal?

Probably not with leaf springs but contact RockJock.

So does this mean that if you run a front antirock, but not or nothing in the rear, it's semi pointless?

You can run a front Antirock with the stock rear bar but the front to rear balance is not ideal.

I have a new 2021 JLU Rubicon and I noticed that even though it has sway bar disconnect but the rear doesn't disconnect. So it seems like the RockJock would be good for the back of the JLU, Right?

Rear sway bars on jeeps are thin enough so they are basically the same as antirocks in oem form. Basically run them till they break and then buy a antirock.
