Hey ZK, I have had great success with cutting 25mm off those PIP bolts and installing them in tier 3 engines. Take your time cutting so the bolts don’t get hot and you’ll have no issues, done dozens of them and never had an issue…just a tip!

I remember Days like that on A Rooftop Replacing a AC Compressor on a 10 Ton Rooftop Unit!

Before I get to going here , my compliments to you for knowing exactly what the problem was, saw your note that the oil cooler was bad, you hit it right on the nose. Good going. Also my compliments to you for continuing to teach Joseph and now the new technician Ben. Ben is a good one it appears, he got right after it and did the work to get it done. Nice job Ben. Am sure both of these gentlemen know the value in having you as the teacher. Well I really enjoyed this one. Just amazing what has to be dismantled to get to the source of the problem. Was great to see this and learn along the way. Thanks showing us the process coming apart and going back together again. You hit it on the nose, oil cooler bad. That oil really messed up a lot of parts and hoses. Good move to replace it all to prevent future issues. Love that battery powered fan. At least keeps air moving around you. I use simple green and then drain then flush with Cascade

Hi Zak. Your videos are awesome and thanks for sharing them 👍👍. Seems like a common theme in your videos and that is John Deere quality control!!?? Seems always a coolant related issue, fuel issue, transmission issues and may small things to cause the problem s but ending up costing $thousands of dollars to fix!! We left Deere last year after 40 years and now are totally Fendt. Will continue to watch a great mechanic on his daily mission 👍👍

I'd got same problem with a nissan titan oil in the radiator. DONE had the oil cooler change, top of engine done, head is still great & been pressure test great no cracks no where. Put back together still got same problem.

Oh the pitfalls of combine work. Belts,chains,gear boxes, internal stuff, electronic stuff, engine stuff and the list goes on. Plus they must be repaired usually while screaming hot and covered in dust and chaff. You the man Zeth. A more calmer (at least on camera) man and mechanic you will never meet. Try and keep cool. Heat stroke ain't fun believe me. It put me in the ER a few years back. Drink tons of water and take a break when you can...

Hot and dry or humid? Dry you can add misters to drop the effective temperature like a Swamp Cooler. Flush the tank with Dawn and a pressure washer. 3:26

Knowing what I know today I’m sure I’d never put water/antifreeze in any of my machinery again. I’d use a product called Evan’s Coolant. It’s a coolant with a boiling point of 375 degrees (that’s right 375), non corrosive and doesn’t expand at heat causing overflow and no hotspots, It’s a new day……

It's a cummins 5.9.liter desiel.

There no water in the oil pan or on the dip stick.No oil going back to the oil pan. Truck doesn't knock like it blowing up.

“Replace most of the coolant hoses.” Because engine oil is deleterious to the hose ‘rubber’? How do you know which hose does not need to be replaced, all of them have been exposed?

What year and how many hours on the combine?

Hi. Do you think it's a bit risky running the Combine before the leak test on the oil cooler came back. If the cooler had been OK and the head gasket was at fault, you would have re contaminated the system.
