Man he had another 2 seasons left on those spindles Tom!! 🤣 Sadly both bearings are likely sealed on the inside even though they put a grease fitting on it. Good job brother and looking at the belt diagram you had it right. 👍
Looks like that turned out to be a real beast. I try not to pull them spindles out and just replace the bearings. I’m sure he wouldn’t have been none to happy to come back and you handed him his new spindles with the old bearing. 😁👍
You have the right kind of customers to do all that hard work for you. We can take the noise, but I'm not sure about your neighbors. The worst is a basketball bouncing. I used to live near a park with a basketball goal in it. Sitting on my porch, 600 feet away, you could hear the ball bouncing. Since it was not a constant noise , your brain could not tune it out. And there were no houses directly between my porch and the court to block the noise. I was always amazed how loud the noise was that far away. Hurricane Katrina solved that problem by moving me 40 miles away. Since you are inside a building, most of the noise stays inside there. And the trains are not exactly quiet, are they. But I do miss my air conditioned workshop. Now I have to make do with the vacant half of a double garage to work on stuff. The portable generator (for hurricanes), lawn tractor, and Ford Expedition still do not fill it up. Some oil into that air impact might give it a little more torque.
That Capri air gun is solid for sure. Question for you, would it be better if you sprayed down the rusty bolts with some type of WD40 or something before you tighten the nuts back down? Just curious brother. I enjoyed this video and always learning from the DOBSTER!! Great Video
