The guitarist, Johnny Diesel is the brother-in-law of Jimmy Barnes; an accomplished guitarist and singer in his own right, he performs in the band Diesel and The Injectors as well as a solo artist.

@@chrisconnell1075 first time I got to see Jimmy Barnes and Diesel perform, I was 9, we were at the Royal Easter Show in Sydney. Rose tattoo also played live that weekend!.I'm 42 now and grateful to be an Aussie that was raised on such incredible music.

Both John & Jimmy are ridiculously powerful singers, so it's great when they can really let go because they're together. Most performances they did with someone else they had to dial it back a little, but not this pair. Also Jimmy's duo with Tina Turner (Simply the Best) and John's with Anthony Warlow (Granada) are two other performances that come to mind where they could let go.

Two aussie legends albeit they were both born in Britain. Not going to hold that agaist them 😂😂 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Jimmy was the lead singer of one of the greatest bands in Australia, Cold Chisel 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Diesel on guitar and singing. Another Aussie icon (American born, but not holding that against him either 😂😂)🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 The "h" in Farnham is silent 👌🏻👌🏻

I love Diesel's backup in this version. Just goes to show how generous Jimmy and John are as musicians. The Lotto was announced because of the show, Hey Hey its Saturday, which was a very popular variety show in Australia.

Jimmy holds back a bit in this song because he is doing the low part, check him out solo or with Cold Chisel and you will see he barely got our of 2nd gear in this. I'd start with "Working class man" or "Driving wheels"

Shame the band was miming over a backing track in this, mind you Diesel was probably having too much fun singing to actually pay too much attention to his guitar and he's wildly out of sync in a few places. Not that he can't do both, but TV is weird about live instruments for some reason.
