I was about to become a first time ACT voter until I saw how willing Seymour was to bolster the left's scaremongering about a 'coalition of chaos' in order to score a few points against Peters. We had Jacinda, Hipkins last 6 years, do we feel the country is in the right shape in education, housing, crime, health etc? Some aspects of it, sadly, is fearful. They had their chance, time to hand over to another, like Luxon, likely our best chance for a change considering his success in running other large companies and Air NZ. Kiwis are paying more tax so it's only fair the tax threasholds are updated and tax cut of this extra tax. Wage increases since 2010 have gradually moved earners into higher tax brackets. Now min wage is near the 48,000 30% tax so working extra hours to cope with inflation can land you with 30% or 33% tax taken by govt! 44,000 you start loosing IETC at 13c in every dollar earnt!
