I loved him in Donnie Darko but after that I lost track of his movies... then I wanna say he was in Prince of Persia and it looked pretty good, but I never saw it and don’t recall hearing how it ~actually~ was Now he’s some top-shelf awesome dude that everyone wants to work with and I honestly can’t wait to see what he does next That kitten meowing almost on queue makes that Mr. Music bit all the better along with the expressions on his face throughout... and the body language, and the everything

@@TheMulToyVerse I'm pretty sure prince of persia was a low point gyllenhaalwise, among it's roughest critics's concerns were the fact nobody in the movie was persian at all, if i remember correctly. Before that he'd made some good movies brokeback mountain and all that, the one where he gets hazed as a soldier or whatever i think was pretty acclaimed and then after prince of persia like, nightcrawler was really well received, i liked him in okja, velvet buzzsaw, he was a great spiderman, he's proved to be a marvelous actor who can make strange and brave choices that actually pay off
