I’ll take a liberal willing to lean into slightly more progressive ideas. John Oliver was actually my gateway drug to leftism. I was a liberal weary of progressive ideas and John Oliver’s segments and the passion he uses to advocate for what he thinks is right, pushed me to listen & look into my views and progressive values. I don’t like libs bcs they aren’t willing to disturb the status quo for progress but as you said, John Oliver is a pretty good way to get them one foot in the door.

I'm very left leaning because the right makes me feel super uncomfortable with their policies and rhetoric. The reason I like John Oliver's show is because he acknowledges when his opinions are biased. Not always, but he does it enough that I think he's self-aware. But after watching the right, they will NEVER acknowledge the other side.

Hes a react streamer. Using others content to satiate the ADHD audience while he has to do normal human things is lazy and unethical. His viewers will stay. I know he does it for that reason alone.

Its human trafficking. California is whatever, but New York at the time did not have the coordination necessary to prepare for these people through a violent winter. NY already takes in a lot of migrants, but the timing and communication from texas was malicious.
