I am not saying it's a bad thing to praise & worship God in church but, Isn't there more to praising God then by just singing at church? Isn't it also praising God to share your life experience's and faith and his love to others? I've seen and heard some people in singing praise in church, "I love you Lord" and later give a cold shoulder to those around them.
Ken Rader Thats what he's talking about in this video. People have no problem praising other people and sports teams, movies, songs, etc all the time. How often do we go around saying things like "my team is the best team ever, they are going to win because no one can beat them." or "She is so beautiful, she has to be one of the most beautiful and talented actresses." or "This day is absolutely gorgeous, there couldn't be better weather." These are all types of praises that we constantly make and tell other people and often try to convince people of how good a movie is or song is by praising it. But none of these things would exist if God didn't exist and none of it would continue to exist if God didn't still cause it to exist. He is worthy of the praise and honour, nothing is greater or more amazing than God. We need to start praising God to people the way we so easily praise our favourite shows, movies, music, sports teams, vaction spots, food, ect. to people. This is what the people in the Bible were doing when they praised the Lord.
"If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother." (1 John 4:20-21) "With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so." (James 3:9-10)
God is the one being in the universe for whom, gathering attention is not arrogant, is not selfish and not abusive and manipulative, but it LOVE, pure and simple. -Seriously, think about this.
i've thought about it. Still nobody had answered why it is God demands we worship. He doesn't say, "worship if ya like. If ya don't, it's cool i'll still let you in.". He literally says that that is our purpose in life. To worship God and make babies that worship Him and to tell the world so that they, too, may worship him. It's fine to understand why WE worship (to complete the joy) but we already knew why. It's not even about getting human approval or anything like that. It's about what's said about God and what is taught to us being wildly inconsistent in that way. Dude hardens Pharoah's heart and sends 10 plagues to the Egyptians til Pharoah would give in. Doesn't seem loving there. coulda spared a ton of the Egyptians and jist spoken directly to the Pharoah instead of sending a human messenger and creating more death and conflict. He does things like this throughout the old testament including a freakin full wipe of the himan race save for a single family. Did it "cause they were 'wicked'". Uh huh. So, somebody please explain why it isn't selfish that he demand worship? It's literally forced on us lest we just be dumped in a lake of fire. good incentive there ngl.
@@craigtheworst7202Ok. About the first thing you said about God not saying to worship him if you want and if you don't it is okay and him still letting us into heaven. But that is a misconception about heaven . With all love and respect and truly i tell you that heaven is knowing God (as Jesus himself says in the book of John chapter 17 "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." To know the Lord Jesus because the only things we can know about God are the things that he himself reveals to us. And he reveals himself to us through his Word, his perfect and complete reflection, who is The Lord Jesus, The anointed one of God.) finding the highest of pleasure in him and praising him. In one of his books C. S Lewis says that "It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered to us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased." The highest pleasure is in knowing God and because he loves us, he wants us to have the highest of pleasure. And that is why the purpose of life is to know God, telling them about him, praising him, doing good works in his name which he prepared for us to do from eternity, and to experience the highest form of happiness together with others.
I have been struggling lately to understand why we worship God. I believe the enemy placed the thought in my mind that God was selfish but I knew in my heart that was a lie. I am so glad to understand now. God knows that in order to experience complete joy, worship is necessary. He is so good all the time.
Indeed God is admirable and the admiration of God is the greatest pleasure and joy anyone could have. The world looses it's relevance in ourlives when we praise, worship and glorify the LORD 💓
I almost crashed my car listening to this.. Words can’t even describe the Praise we give God. Even me typing this is babbling in my head.. You’re just TOO GOOD!
This makes so much sense hearing it. Completing the joy. It's like... God created this entire world for us all, every being and creature to enjoy ...... A metaphor..... I like to cook. When i cook a meal i don't need my party to praise me. But..... I know when i receive a great meal? That hard work DESERVES to be praised. The bible teaches many lessons. This is a lesson of "how to Praise"
It doesn't matter to me. God created hell to torture his own creations. And torture is PURE evil. So God is evil. And I don't worship evil. End of story.
On what OBJECTIVE moral standard do you judge God is evil? Because only God can account for objective morality. God is good not evil. If morality is subjective then good and evil doesn't exist it's all subjective And if that's the case God can just turn it around and say he's good and you're evil for not worshipping him. Who's right here? God who is an omniscient being creator of all reality Or you a dirt creature? Because God used dirt space dust to create man. Who's right? Well if morality is subjective neither of you are. But if you believe morality is objective then you believe there's a source that transcend humanity this source has to be God. Can't be an impersonal force the impersonal doesn't care about justice. So it follows that God is highest good regardless what you say to object it's a fact.
God has made man in His image and our sin separates us from His perfect being. He made a way for redemption when his son died on the cross, closing the gap between us. Religion is fake but I have a relationship. I would challenge you to challenge Him to reveal Himself to you, read the book of John by yourself. God have mercy on us all. Praise is holy name
I don't agree with you in the perspective of religion. But I have been reading John and it is TRULY and blessing!! I have learned so much more about my Lord Christ Jesus and about how He thinks and feels to some extant. I am so excited to continue by the might and wisdom of God! Praise God!!
I had a dream when I was young about just being in the presence of an absolutely lovely girl my age in a meadow on a mountain. All we did was share the moment giggling and smiling at eachother, not a word was spoken. I woke up and found it to only be a dream thinking that this was some kind of intense love that could be found only through intimate love for a girlfriend or spouse. I never found it. I now believe this love of intense longing to be agape love, a form of worship intended to be experienced with God. It made me realize how I had been worshiping idols even though I had no idea that I was.
Yeah you absolutely said my mind out... Is He experimenting with us or something?? We didn't acquire free will from no where right?? And if God was the one who gave us free will then why will be command us!!?? That's all messed up... Does he just wishes to see who prays and praises him and plan to reward them in after life and damn others to hell??
@@paulgochoa that's dictatorship. He should be pleased if we worship him, but not send us to everlasting punishment if we don't. That's ultimate tyranny.
In Matthew 4:10, Jesus says, "Worship the Lord your God and serve him only." So, worship is not merely a natural instinct or an option, it's a command from God.
You stupid fuck, that didn't answer anything. We're suppose to because we're suppose to? Makes no fucking sense. Why do we have to praise God. It makes no sense.
He basically said we are commanded/ mandated/ required/ forced to worship him (the God of the Bible) or else be destroyed. And that "that is love, pure and simple"... But is it really? Is robbing someone of their free-will equate to love? Would we treat a spouse like this? No, that ain't love, that's abuse.
ygslayersongs and if we don’t we get sent to hell.... it’s like a person holding a gun to your head and he says “do this or I shoot, but hey it’s an option so do what you want”. It’s like forcing people to praise and worship him, even though we have free will we still would get sent to hell.
@@anormalandnon-suspiciousbo5290 yeah that's so messed up. There are certain points in every religious books which is highly messed up. It would never be likely for such a supreme being like God to say such kind of things!!! I believe in a creator but not the God of bible or Quran or any other religious books. These are mere books and they can teach us everything but not spirituality!! It comes from our own conscience
God is all about 'choice'. To believe in Him is a choice, to trust in Him is a choice, God has never ever made anyone worship Him. God first loved us, always has done and always will do (we are His creation after all, after finishing making us He said He was pleased, He gave us free will, He didn't want robots. No Christian would ever worship or praise God because they felt they had to as this would be fake (and to begin with some will fake it - but only because inside them there is a knowing). It takes time, but a Christian (through choosing to seek God and continuing to learn and experience God) gains a clearer understanding in regards to praise and worship. The Christian through seeking God ends up wanting to give (freely) praise and worship to God. Perhaps this is a place someone need to start on the path to before they can start understand and experience this love for and of the Father. Bless
I crave the enjoyment of worshipping God. I wanna worship Him with TRUE enjoyment, TRUE pleasure. I know why he deserves worship and I understand and love Him for it. But even after getting the answer the enemy has still been trying to call God selfish in my mind. Pray for me to get over such thoughts.
Is there any Scripture where God 'commands' us to worship Him? It seems it's always an encouragement, but not a command. It also seems only false gods command worship.
This is the saddest comment I ever read. Are you a Christ follower? Born again or baptized whatever you wannq call it. I don't wanna use the word "Christian" since so many claim to be but don't act like it so that's a poor example
MyFaith Log honestly Christ followers worse sounding. More culty. I’m not tryna be rude, actually curious and seeking insight into this phenom. But why does it actually matter if he/she is or not? It seems so off to me. Theres people that are fulfilled and truly happy that don’t believe in Jesus or any higher power/religion. Personally I do understand why Christianity is fulfilling and helps, but its also completely subjective. Even if God is real, its subjective. I also personally hope God is real, so I’m not knocking it. But also know its not the cure all for everyone’s despair. Even if it was real and could cure one’s sadness. What if thats not God’s plan for a certain person? People are at where they’re at and I just don’t and probably never will understand why this is a Christian’s go to every time they come across someone suffering. Its so shallow and irrelevant. How about asking him/her whats wrong in the first place instead of tryna apply the God bandaid. Its invasive, impersonal and so predictable. Even if you are an exception to the rule. And if you were, then you’d probably know how it sounds. Theres murderers and rapists that are happy and enjoying their every day. Good people who suffer from depression anxiety and suicidal thoughts. Good, Godly people who suffer from those as well and remain yet ‘healed’ by their God. And everything outside of that and in between. I’m not saying don’t minister the gospel if you feel led but why lead with “Are you a christian?”? As if thats going to tell you the reasoning behind this persons state of being.
God pursued me while I was in the world. I started drinking and smoking at the age of six to eight. When I became a teenager, these habits, along with promiscuity and marijuana smoking, intensified. That is why I recently publish my first book, Relentlessly Pursued by God.
God does not command anyone to worship him. Worship comes freely. God does not command anyone to love him. We love him because he first loves us and loving him is what makes us worship him freely from the heart.
Let's just be honets All these expressions are all bona fide and fabulous But is that What we are concieving? Poverty, corruption, disappointmeny All these are here just to test us right? But if I never asked to be brought into this world?
I’ve been Christian all my life and I learned that Jesus was loving and caring and selfless. I don’t understand why God would need praising since he’s perfect? I understand one wanting to praise him but I don’t understand him demanding us to praise him. Is that selflessness? God wants our love, a lot of people start singing and crying at the church as if they do not know him. Maybe some don’t and it’s the first time having an experience with him but what about the ones who have known God all their life? Why do some people constantly talk about him and almost have him as an idol? I love him but I don’t see him as an idol. I see him as my father
God deserves praise and worship because of who He is and all that He has done. He is worthy and all glory belongs to Him. so therefore we should give Him the praise and glory!! we should WANT to praise Him and glorify Him because He is beautiful and has done great things. God also knows that praising Him will bring us ultimate joy. He loves us and He wants the best for us and the best thing for us is knowing how great He is and enjoying him and therefore praising Him. Yes God is your Father and He loves you as his son. But God is also God. He is also your King, Lord, Creator and Saviour. so he deserves your praise. Also and idol is someone or something that you place in Gods place and therefore God cannot be an idol logically.
@@esteratymochowicz2786 that’s a reason why you might want to worship God; it’s not a reason why God would demand to be worshipped and even punish those who refuse. Demands and punishment are at best needy and at worst psychopathic. Why would an entity capable of creating Jupiter even care if I worship a golden calf? Wouldn’t such a powerful being just think it was funny?
@Henry Leon I must say that I am somewhat dissapointed that more people have not addressed your comments. I too struggle with why God would demand our our worship. I have heard several explanations and none of them make reasonable sense to me. I understand why one would choose to worship him but I struggle with the words "Worship and Praise" in any context. I would love for someone to engage and really help us understand. I have had many questions related to the "things that people say" that don't make sense to me but always receive a defensive posture from others, particulalry in church when all I am looking for are reasonable answers. I do hope more people respond to your post; people that truly want to help minister to others in search of answers.
For God so loved the world so much that anyone who doesn't follow Him will be tortured in hell for eternity. He gave us the "freedom" to "choose" between eternal torture and "life", at the same time elects people for his "glory". Wow that's Christianity for you.
You don't even know how wrong you are. God so loved the world that He gave His only son so that we could be in right standing with Him and have a relationship with Him. Because our sin seperates us from a Holy God. So because we're sinner and He's Holy He can't just keep letting us live in our since and darkness. So He send Jesus to die for US so that we can have a pathway. That is why the early Christians were called "Follwers of the Way" He is the Only way!
This follows the same line as God’s commands, doesn’t it? Kind of uses the same “system” if you will. When He commands us to refrain from adultery, it is to the glory of God to be sure, but at the same time, it is to the benefit of the sinner as well. Be faithful to your wife and you won’t destroy your life, nor your wife’s life, nor your childrens’ lives, nor your mistress’s, your mistress’s children, your mistress’s husband, your church, your business, your livelihood, your integrity, etc., etc., etc. . . . Same with stealing, same with lying, same with gossiping, cheating, hating, belittling, hurting, etc., etc., etc. . . . So, with Lewis’ words we see that there is a “closing of the loop,” it would seem . . . praise God, live right, and you will “connect the dots” of His desires for Himself and for yourself. Which will in turn, reward you with a truly happy God glorified life that gives, as said, that glory not only to God but to yourself as well, then spreads it to all those around you - family, friends, co-workers and colleagues - and then brings it right back around to the God who gave it to you in the first place. Praise be His holy name!
Praising God is the delight of our soul. When we seek to find enjoyment that is elusive elsewhere. Our very existence is delighted when we discover such truths. I Praise you my glorious Lord God forever and ever!
I find it immoral for an omnipotent being to seek our eternal worship! Just imagine yourself as an atheist and damned down to hell for simply not believing in god. The god you worship is very immoral and cruel. Or maybe the omnipotent being is just imagined by those who lived in ancient times. I do highly respect christianity and the bible because of the moral and philosophy of the bible but there are, some immoral things written in it telling us to worship god. These sayings are just not convincing enough. Does the bible prove the bible? There are quintillions of religions throughout the universe, are you sure you are worshipping the right god? The god you worship is cruel and immoral so therefore, I will choose to live as an atheist for the rest of my life.
Why should God expect praise and worship from those he clearly hasn't blessed not just in terms of prosperity but in providing the basic necessities of life? Sorry but the "Our ways are not his ways" and "Walk by faith and not by sight" blind faith rationalizations don't justify a God who clearly plays favorites.
I'm a Christian and have been struggling with the idea behind worship. My conundrum is - if something/someone is admirable, the human mind will naturally adore it without that something/someone ever having to ask us to admire it. In fact, when someone/something asks/commands us to admire them, that's when we get annoyed and actually it reduces our admiration of it, right? I think the struggle that people have with worshipping God is that He asks/commands it, whereas if he hadn't, we would just naturally admire/worship him. Dunno if I'm making any sense, or maybe I'm missing something very obvious. God help me.
Exodus 4:22-23 Then say to Pharaoh, ‘This is what the Lord says: Israel is my firstborn son, 23 and I told you, “Let my son go, so he may worship me.” But you refused to let him go; so I will kill your firstborn son.’” - The word Worship is found in the Bible over 250 times. In studying the verses about worship I am a firm believer that Worship is one of our main purposes and that he tells us to because we need it. I also realized that in the bible it mentions creatures and objects even will worship the Lord but yet we do not see animals perform any sense of worship the way all humans do.
I don't understand how people can be misled into fervently worshiping the wrong God. God is not a spirit. The Bible doesn't teach that god is a spirit, so why does most of Christianity insist God is a spirit? If you worship a spirit God, you are worshipping something that doesn't exist. I would ask the makers of this video and anyone who believes what is being said here is it truth, just a few simple questions to see if they will actually answer them because I have been to 7 different websites 20 different videos and nobody will answer. Question number one: is Jesus Christ God. I know in my heart Jesus Christ is God but what say you? Question number 2 does God change? I know in my heart that God does not change but what say you? Question number 3 who or what is the best Authority on God? The Nicene Creed , the apostolic Creed, the pope, Billy Graham, Peter, paul, john... who's the best Authority on God? Question number four what God do you believe in?
Why else would God create anything other than for it's own pleasure and glory? And God didn't create Jesus if the trinity is correct then jesus always existed. And God didn't send jesus out of hate but out of love "God so loved the world"
The answer to all those question is that God gave us a freewill. He never forced us to worship Him.. Yes He commanded us but the decision is ours. Well, i was force because if i will not worship Him, i will be condemn and straight to hell. Logic, Would you buy a poison to drink if your thirsty? of course Not. If someone is offering a FREE water to drink, even if you want to buy it,, He will give it to you for free,, You will take it and say thank you.. does it help?? 😂😂😂 We have choices and God gave us the answer.. choose life.
Some say you need to worship to feel complete, to be completed. As an atheist who knows a bit about philosophy this statement is half true. Every human being needs an element of spirituality to feel complete and through monotheism that is worshipping a god. However, I feel complete and whole but I don't worship a god. Why? Because instead of filling that spiritual side with worship I believe in my own ability to accomplish my goals and dreams and accept that there is no god. I don't need Jesus Christ in my heart I need to believe in myself and I feel complete.
Alex Boston You say that instead of, "filling that spiritual side with worship I believe in my own ability...". Here's the question though, "Why the need to substitute or replace "the spiritual" with anything IF there is no inherent need to have IT fulfilled or satisfied in the first place? Why would you feel incumbent to address a "need" if the need supposedly does not exist? Your "goals and dreams" are apparently your "god". The real question then becomes, "who or what is this god of yours? As you place god and God side-by-side, what are their likenesses and what are their differences? More importantly what is the cost for surrendering to either camp?
+Alex Boston So Alex, you are saying you are your own god. Question, did you create yourself? Do you have all wisdom in the universe to know the answer to all questions? Do you know all that there is to know in the universe? Do you hold all the atoms of your being together so you will not disappear into nothingness? All creation shouts "There is a Designer...a Creator!" This universe is running in perfection....if any part of it would become out of order, it would cease to exist.
Magyar487 He is not saying that he is God. He is saying he found completeness in himself. I think similarly, but not exactly the same. I have found completeness in humanity. Humans are incredible. To me, they are even more incredible than a supposed perfect being. Why? Because there are no straightforward answers when it comes to humans, but with God it is always simple. In our imperfections, we are made more complex. Indeed, this is the way the world was always meant to be. And so we can be satisfied with this without worship.
God is not an admirable entity to me. How can I admire a being which is responsible for all miseries, sufferings, diseases, deaths, inequalities and injustices?
there is no god nor is there any need for one humanity is... well could be a god in its entirety if it would only be able to come to a final conclusion of eternal peace
A common tactic of a con artist is to try to induce a highly emotional state. A pyramid scheme salesman in town for the weekend will try to get his workshop in an overly excited and joyful mood. He'll try to work the crowd into a frenzy because calmly thinking over his every word is detrimental to the goal of getting your wallet open, he needs you to feel more and think less. The problem with what was laid out here despite all the passion is it could all still apply to the tyrant demanding praise. The tribal warlord is actually doing a good thing by demanding you submit to him while using the threat of punishment because praise is just good for you. He's doing you a spiritual favor actually. The only actual distinction comes when he says god deserves the praise, implying others don't. That alone is not a sufficient answer to the question of why he wants it.
🤯Wow! I am totally blown away and overjoyed that this sermon exists and I am able to see it I think so many could benefit from seeing this really all of the lukewarm Christians with minds🧠 that are bothered by the idea of God asking to be worshiped as it bothered me long ago wow wow wow💯🔥🕊️✝️
0:59 - 1:20 He just compared the word “KNEE” 🦵🏾to “ NEEDY”. Then makes a complete theory that the reason he denies to worship god is because he’s “ NEEDY” ..and it doesn’t stop he then carry’s the theory with says that because he believes god doesnt want us to worship Jesus he’s needy which again means poor when he never stated he wanted to be worshiped but carry on to say if you demand to be praised you are “NEEDY” (poor) yet preaches that GOD demands we praise him (NEEDY)..don’t let everything you hear ..take the time to listen and really understand the message if you choose to go to church…stay focused🤙🏾💯☮️
Mr Po You yourself were created. God has always been. If you ever created something (which happens all the time, having a child) than the child would not be right to worship what created him/her, but to worship the first thing that created his/her parents, grandparents, great grandparents, and on and on all the way back to what existed before that has always been and created everything. That is what/who God is, and He alone is worthy of all our worship, amen.
Can a Child adore a Father? Believers believing that God is our Father - we adore our Father. Can a child worship the ground his or her loving Father walks on? is this not a child's delight/right to do so - to worship their Father? We believe in and delight in our Heavenly Fathers Love for us. Before when I didn't have Christ in my life I was lost to the world, a slave to the world, now I have a relationship with my Heavenly Father, I am no longer a slave to the ways of this world, I now have a joy and peace in my life like nothing I ever experienced before, I am loved and cared for like never before before. I am so thankful I have a Father who sees me as a son. I am living in the world but by my Father in Heavens Grace, by my faith in Him and my belief in His Son Jesus Christ, I have been saved from being a slave to the world and I now have a final destination. Slave to the world or Worshiper of my Father? I have made my choice.
An omnipotent, omniscient being would never want worship or a relationship with humans! It's utterly illogical! The need for companionship and praise is a weakness of sorts. Religion is a mental illness

@@sjjdhwhjw1257 each one of us offends God everyday of our lives, but God understands that we are not perfect. But in the beginning when God first designed us, when were created we were designed to be perfect in every way, as God Himself is perfect in every way (God wasn't gonna design faulty good - that just doesn't make sense... God also didn't want robots for company (how boring would that be, so he gave (us) His creation 'free will' but man (we) decided, using our free will to go against Gods 'advice, and think that we knew better than our creator'. God lives in a perfect environment (God created a perfect environment for us to live in - 'Earth' - and we are destroying it). God isn't gonna let every Tom, Dick or Harry into heaven. If someone came into your house and trashed it, would you let them back in without at least an apology? Well God 'is' willing and waiting to hear your apology and let you into Heaven. God Son came to Earth in obedience to His Father, to die for 'all' our wrong doings and as a result has made it possible for God to hear our apology for the mess we are making and for us to have a hope of getting into Heaven. How do we apologise? we talk to God and say that we are sorry and in our hearts promise to God that from this moment on we are gonna try everyday to do better, and ask God for his help in doing this. Then find a good bible teaching church so you can find out more and to find help from others to keep you strong in your decision to keep on the right path.
So, what about when you attempt to find this infinite pleasure in worshiping the most "admirable" God, but still live in nothing but pain and sorrow? Is the worship just a means to an end? If God simply wants us to worship him so that we find peace and love in our hearts, why doesn't it work for everyone? I still don't get it. I feel like this is a video for people who already believe, can someone please explain this in a way that a nonbeliever can understand?
"The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit." - 1 Corinthians 2:14 "Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." - John 5:24 "Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will." - 2 Timothy 2:25 - 26
Hi, I think this reply is really late but still I will try. Yes, you are right; this video is for people who already believe. I think Piper is in church speaking to his congregation here. Christianity does not deny the reality of suffering, but says there is a God in whom you can find peace, hope and joy in the midst of all this suffering. Worship is the spontaneous response of a person who has come to believe that a good God exists and this God loves him. Worship is not a means to anything; true worship should come naturally as a response to faith. But though it is a spontaneous response, it does have tremendous benefits on the believer's life. It helps the believer shift his focus from his finite problems onto the infinite God who is able to solve all problems. This creates peace, and where there is peace, there is no bitterness of heart, and hence, you are in a better position to love those around you. Plus, there is the supernatural element where the Holy Spirit Himself imparts the peace of God onto you when you focus on this God.
It probably doesn't work for everyone because not everyone has the right view of God. Only the great God of the Bible can be big enough to fill our lives with the satisfaction and joy we want. But even for christians, growing in worship takes time, like taking medicines to keep a disease away; the more we take it, the more the disease is kept away. We will only be fully relieved of our pain when Christ comes again to earth.
It is perfectly fine to worship God. However, regardless of what the scripture says, God has never demanded that we worship him (not even for our so-called "benefit"). God is not that insecure or egotistical. While holding some benefit, all so-called "holy scripture" is man's attempt to understand God through the veil of man's own fears and insecurities. It is the anthropomorphization (look it up) of God. That which man doesn't understand, he attributes human motives and insecurities to it. This includes God. The scriptures are man's written attempt to control other people through religion, dogma, and the fear of eternal damnation. To say that God demands our worship for our benefit is more than nonsensical. It is manipulative. It's like an abuser saying, while he's smacking you, that this is for your own good. This best way to listen and understand God is to listen to your heart. You are born of God. He dwells within you. He speaks to you directly.
God does not command us to worship him in a thunderous voice. She would just like to be "appreciated" (loved). Even after radiating billions of years of light, warmth and love to create this paradise planet lifeboat so that we have a beautiful place to "be"... We depreciate her, the planet and the life on it. And people just chant "more, more, more". Tragic.
@@saltywaters4443 probably because satan didn’t make us unlike god, what do you mean why do they worship satan 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 more like why do you worship god and jesus more like 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wrong questions asked. Correct question: Why does the Catholic Church (or any church for that matter) command us to worship God? The need to be worshipped seems to be a purely human trait, a sort of obsessing, rather than the needs of a supreme free being like God. God did not write the Bible, people did. Did they not? This does not mean one should not follow the teachings of the Bible, the prophets, the apostles and of Jesus' teaching. But one should also feel free to make up one's own mind about such things as how to lead a good life in harmony with others and use one's own good judgement of what is right and what is wrong.

Gunter Raffel pretty much if there is a god or creator it wouldn’t need its creation to worship it.
We have been taught by religious authorities that since we have been created by God we must worship and please God by keeping His Laws. But this is not the TRUTH. Worshipping God is a pagan ritual. When people worship God they set God apart and above them - unreachable and to be feared - for who knows what "evil" God might send on earth if people did not act according to his will. But that was not the message Jesus brought to earth. Jesus spoke of the Father which supplied all needs, which answered when called, which healed when requested to do so, which was both transcendent to us and also within us, meaning that the Creator is universal. CHRIST'S LETTERS from JESUS CHRIST
@@N0THlNGNESS Hell is a preposterous belief! Although it is a great belief for the power-hungry - for it helps keeps people within the structure of the church. So beware and do not allow yourself to be intimidated by "threats" of "displeasing" God and likely "damnation".
Yes, I praise people and things that I find to be good and that bring me joy, but I do not find joy in the god depicted in the bible. I will not praise someone who has done the terrible things that that book claims it has done. I denounce such things. A god doing bad things does not make them good. Furthermore, commanding others praise oneself is a bad thing in itself. If anyone were to tell me to praise them, I would laugh. It's such a ridiculous thing to ask for. Praise is given only on the merit of doing good deeds. Praise that is merely commanded is meaningless. A good god would do good things and be praised for doing those good things. The god of the bible mostly does a lot of bad things and then also demands to be worshipped.
We all have emotions, and the pleasure offerings of this world, which all will pass away (and many are sinful) detract us from focusing on the truth.. Jesus. I appreciate this video as it showed me that God in his mercy wants me to focus my affections and admiration on him, which has been, IS and Forever will be. By understanding this mesage, I can see that all his comandments are for my benefit. As he is the definition of Good, focusing on his ways and delighting in HIM, and depending on HIM, is the sure way to firmly go trhu this short life, which brings its joys and its pains. By focusing and enjoying Jesus, the persecutions, insults and even false accusations and punishments( even to death) will be like nothing. Like Stephen when was being stoned, was rejoicing seeing Jesus seated at the right hand of Gods throne!
There is no God to worship way above God is within the name is Love No Father in the sky To worship till I die Inventions of the human mind Of deluded religious kind Of ancient primitive mankind Give all that crap the shove God means Love.
Just because you see some writings of a person from way back is no proof to me of anything .The God of the bible is simply an invention or a fantasy. As I explained before the word God is a reference to human Love. There is no God as a He or a Him God is Love, needs no worship or praise.
You lack of faith, and do not believe in the impossible, you are just a doubter. It's alright, I don't judge you, but so just so you know just because one is faithless doesnt mean he is usually right. No God=no souls.
At times i have a hard time with this too, but he(god) is truly the best, how i wish i could be only a tiny fraction of what he is, i would do so much to honor him for what he represents, he is a true lord, i admire him and somehow i envy him in a healthy way.
lester brown 1.I wouldnt say im devoted to God 2.there is only one God and I believe in him ,the difference is ,the God that I believe in actually exists and descended from his throne and glory became a man ,lived righteously performed miracles and died for the sins of the world as the lamb of God without blemish and he was raised from the dead by the spirit of God and he has given us his instruction, correction ,exhortation ,reproof and testimony by means of a book .
lester brown The bible explains what zeus was ,it was men exchanging the glory of the eternal God for images resembling corruptible men and creeping things ,what that means was men believed in a God ,but they came to a conclusion of who he was by there corrupted imagination ,they knew God existed because God has made it plain to us by everything that has been made .But they did not have enough wisdom to see him for who he is ,niether could men come to him ,because men love darkness and hate light . I say I believe in God because im am persuaded by the terror of the Lord ,I have read the bible and I see it as self authenticating and by I am aware of the spiritual realm by extreme personal experiences and the more I believe in Gods testimony the more of God I see in creation and the more foolish the atheistic world view seems .The reason I say im not devoted is because the only way someone can become devoted is by a supernatural work of God on somebodies heart to change it and incline it towards himself ,that I fear I lack .

Ricky Westley Using the bible to prove the bible is a nifty trick. The terror of the lord is right, he is far from a god of love. Fear is a poor reason to worship.Your god can do no wrong, for once he does something, it becomes perfect, even if it is evil , hateful, unjust, and capricious. Religion is a fairy tale for adults, you love Cinderella. Extreme personal experiences exist in every religion, in alien abduction, big foot sightings, loch ness sightings, Elvis sightings, ghosts, werewolves, angels, demons, loved ones returning from the grave to tell their family that they love them. There is a nut for every tree. Nothing in the world would convince you, once your mind is made up. Facts get in the way, science can be discarded, physics be damned, cosmology might as well be cosmetology.Make no mistake, you are wrong, sorry. The supernatural is a hoax.
Stop thinking so much! Just fall in love with Christ and experience him. Come out of the world (remove worldly influences), become submerged in him, and the worship will flow out from you naturally without needing a reason. If you feel you need a reason to worship God, you need to realize you've got some serious issues going on. You're approaching God from the intellect. Just as you don't debate that the sun is hot, you don't debate God's glory. No intellect is needed to understand this. Rather, experience is needed. Experience removes all need for intellect to convince you of something. Our problem is we are not experiencing Christ! We don't need more preaching. We don't need more discussion. We need more experiencing!
i was also a religious and believer of god and jesus but i found the truth... only Satan is our true savior.. please believe me submit your self to Satan.. its only way to get true pleasure
+Zinyak Satan does NOT LOVE YOU! HE DETESTS MANKIND, including you...he detests God, our Creator. WHY would you want to worship a created being who is evil and so full of hatred for you? When Creator God, YHWH, is the absolute epitomy of PERFECT LOVE? "For God so loved the world, that He gave His ONLY begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life." The love of God is what makes life worthwhile....that intimacy He wants with us as His friends....there is nothing so beautiful as sensing His loving Presence around you and you loving Him back. Yeshua is Lord! "Every knee shall bow, and EVERY tongue confess, that Yeshua is Adonai, to the glory of God the Father." YHWH is the ONE Who gave us life.....Satan, comes to steal, kill, and destroy. (I plead the Blood of Yeshua over you and your mind).
@@umar7182 true pleasure... yeah I believe that's what Satan offers. But wouldn't you rather have, true life, peace and joy. That's what it's like living for God. You have your free will. Choose wisely since eternity depends on it!!!!!!
I have a question for you . . . If it were the case that Christianity were true, would you want to know it? Let's just say that for a second Christianity *was* true. Would you want to know it?
Worship is such an important part of Christianity. I have a passion for worship and make high quality lyric videos to contemporary worship music. Check it out!
+Christopher Dupre. You are terribly wrong. : ) Yes there is a command! Luke 4:8 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.'"
