I always was a strict form guy, but be realistic, in a natural environment, nothing is strict at all, don't forget that's one of the best guy in the world ...
I agree, as long as you feel the muscle contracting through the rep, your form doesn't need to be textbook perfect. I believe that someone just starting out should stay as strict as possible so that they can connect to the muscle before starting to "cheat".
Always my idol...old school bodybuilder, people talk shit about his form shows how ignorant they are or they just rookies who always talk about form...what they dont realize when you are heavyweight all that doesnt fuckng matter...what matter is the contraction n how ur muscle burn after each workout, btw have these rookies heard about explosive training
I find it fascinating how many people who are probably not even competing on amateur level are taking the liberty of criticizing Johnnies "bad form". What the "form police" does not seem to realize is that Johnnnie is not doing some kind of ego lifting here but a strictly functional no-nonsense training with heavy weights that obviously works great for him. If you seriously think you know better how to build great arms than a successful pro bodybuilder and powerlifter then please add a real picture of your own arms to your comment to let us see if they can compete with Johnnies guns.
Great job Johnny but I don't have to tell you that you always come off in the gym very intense and very informative you get right to the point it's funny in these videos a lot of times the people behind you in the gym don't seem to be into working out they sit around and talk and watch you on the sly it's the same way at my gym I guess you can't expect everyone to be as intense As You Are I'm very intense as well but want to raise my intensity after watching you great job remember health is wealth God bless you Johnny and your family😎💪👍👍
Idk why anyone comments about form on a bodybuilding video. The point of bodybuilding is how good you look, not how "well" you perform an exercise. If your legs are insanely jacked and you do 1/4 rep squats and leg press, I can't hate. I haven't ever heard Johnnie or Branch recommend or preach this style of training, so even more respect to them. The viewers need to stay entertained and not criticize the form of IFBB pros.
People always think you have to stand rigid and do a perfectly controlled rep. While yes that works if you are going to go heavy enough you will not be able to do that. Thus the term "pumping" iron. You work like a pump.
+Stefanie Heide weight means nothing. See how long these guys last running around a football pitch for 90 minutes. Fitness means everything bodybuilders are not fit...period!!
***** that dont mean anything, they travel all over the globe and do b.s shows so they can qualify for the olympia. He rarely is in the top 15 when he does the olympia
trill will damn Johnnie chest is big as s mountains not mountain mountains damn hrs doing the close grip bench like a do them going to his side where you putting the most stress on triceps
if you train slow your gonna be slow and the more exertion and force you use on the concentric the more muscle fibers you recruit and more muscle activation you stimulate this slow shit will get you no where only pumping roids will using that kind of training and going slow people think it's working because they feel the burn well guess what that's just lactic acid building up you gotta use maximum force and maximum effort to get maximum results
at the level they are at and the weight they are moving they are no longer concerned about form. also, look at the shape he is in too. when you are moving the weight he is... form is going to be compromised. I would say what he is doing is working for him. I concentrate on my form myself when lifting, but, at the same time, I am not even close to putting up or lifting the weight he is.
The way how you curl the dumbbell it wasn't for ARMS it was for SHOULDER because of your form and learn how to slow down and focus on the movement not at the sets and volume you are not working in the factory instead you working out in the GYM period
