My father who has also crossed over to the other side camp has also given me a love for Johnny Cash. I remember riding in a bus with him to Alaska with the 8-track in, and listening to Cash, Holly, Lynn, Jones among many others. This was one of his favorites to play, besides Pink Carnation

I know BB King recorded an album at a Cook County Jail in 71 and Jerry Garcia played an acoustic set at Oregon State Prison in 82. Both worth looking for.

Thanks for sharing that. I really like Shel Silverstein and I never knew Johnny's song was based on his poem. I learn so much music history from those who comment on the Twins channel, which is addition to the smiles they bring, is an added bonus.☺

@@kathyp1563 not all are clean - he wrote poetry for a playboy magazine before he became a children’s author. I have his not so child friendly ABC book.

The only other performer that did a live album was B.B. King live at Cook County Jail. An incredible piece of music.
