Now y’all gotta do his two timeless classics, “ Mary Jane “ and for a change of pace one of the all time great slow jams” Fire and Desire” featuring Teena Marie. Rick James is an all time great who was known for wild life style but his creativity and musical contributions should’ve received as much if not more recognition.

Me too. The days when all I had to do was take care of myself only. Then the girls came and I had to grow up. One time we were talking and my one girl said well we know mama has never sat in jail. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yes I did. Drunk as a skunk and 15 years old with the rest of the party animals. We were singing and still having a good time. Now one drink and I am out of it. Times have changed

I am 64 and that song was a jam back in the day. I would ask the nearest girl near me at the club to dance with me when that song came on.( remember the dance the 'gigolo'?) Saw him in concert twice, one time Teena Marie surprised him on stage and then they got into the fire and desire song.

Just imagine if u can sing & ur girl can sing too and both y'all singing 2 each other, now that's 🔥. I think that's what their duet is all about 2 other ppl, sexy.
