Stephen Fiore yes they were, sir. analog television, wether b/w or color, had their picture made out of picture elements, better known as pixels. no need to say thank you, it was a pleasure to me... psst! hey you! (hustle) do you need good pixels? (hustle) very cheap! i sell them for a nickel each
***** Dude, the only one who's complaining is you -- about me. Calm down. Should be clear that what I wrote was a joke. If I was able to make somebody smile with it then my mission is accomplished.
elvicare35 he sure did! He would pull pranks on his band members literally *all the time!* One almost got someone killed though. Elvis once told JD Sumner and his Stamps that there was a disgruntled husband or boyfriend that didn’t like how his woman acted because of Elvis and was going to do him in (this is entirely far fetched since not a whole buncha dudes liked the Elvis, the OG Mr. Steal Ya Girl and had empty threats about it before.) Elvis asked them while they were performing to keep on eye on the crowd and look for anything suspicious. JD and the Stamps all took it seriously and the show went perfectly. Afterwards, Elvis and the Stamps were in his room and two of Elvis’s bodyguards came in with masks and started shooting pistol blanks at Elvis. Everyone jumped behind the furniture and J.D. took Elvis to the ground and shielded him with his own body and thought Elvis was trembling because he was so scared but realized he was laughing. It was a hilarious prank but they didn’t know one of them had a loaded pistol on the counter just a few feet away and it could’ve gone a bit different. But Elvis would do just about anything for a good prank and a great laugh.
james w thanks, read it in Richard Sterban’s book, Elvis To Elvira. Phenomenal book and it covers Richard’s signing career from the Keystone Quartet to singing with J.D. Sumner & The Stamps and when they sang for Elvis and also when he left to join the Oak Ridge Boys. Lots of great history about bass singing, Elvis and of course, the Oaks.
@@sydwhitaker5776 Nope. But people believe it was Elvis because directors of "Walk the Line" film just wrote that into the script. It was fiddle player Gordon Terry that gave Johnny his first introduction to amphetamines in 1957. Many of Johnny biographers have documented this.
Nobody Special No, Cash says, Elvis and I are friendly. Our interactions are rare, we bump into one another, At the airport, im flying out he's just flown in. Its tuff to build relationships in this business.
Absolutely. Johnny wasn't given the credit he deserved. He helped lay the groundwork for a variety of genres. Cash paved the way for rock, punk, and alternative as well as continue the legacy of blues and gospel.
+EWR Gaming you obviously are blinded to what people have said about him. Go back and listen to "I got stripes" and don't tell me that's not rap. Then go listen to his cover of "rusty cage" and don't say he didn't have connections to the alternative genre
Well said Juan! It really is humor in its purest form. Actually they both were each others #1 fan :) They started their amazing careers touring together!
***** I was just kidding and speaking figuratively calm down man don't behave like a 10year old and don't take everything in your life too seriously! :)
***** Have you ever head the term "figure of speech"? Or about using exaggeration in humor or satire? I don't mean L-I-T-E-R-A-L-L-Y that this is an ancient song! Whatever, i am a 10 year old. Your behavior is not the epitome of adulthood either though.
Cash was a prankster. One time (while high as a kite) they let 100 baby chickens loose on each floor of their hotel. The dude playing the base flushed cherry bombs down toilets of hotels.
I love Johnny Cash. This has got to be the most incredibly funny video of Johnny I've ever seen. I knew he was awesome but this takes it to another level of awesome! ROFL! This has got to be some very rare footage. I wish he were still here.
It is to be said that Johnny gave alot of performance advice to Elvis when they toured together. I believe that is why his impersonation is so spot on. They are both amazing legends in their own right, just branched into two different paths.
I think Easy Aspi was saying this "impersonation" was good, and that Johnny didn't get the credit he should have. It's obvious to me. Why do you all think that is some kind of insult? Seriously, explain it if you can't see that that was a nice - if unclear - thing to say.
**Crowd Screams** Well...Well Since My Baby Left Me. OWWWWW Back Hurts **Pain Goes Away** Well I Found A New Place To Dwell. **Starts Showing Off Moves** Yea Johnny Get Into It!! **Get Stops** What Was That For? **Plays Guitar For 1 Second** **Burps** **Continues Song** LA LA LA! **Combs Elvis Hair Away** -What I Thought Johnny Cash Thought
I once saw johnny cash before he was singing...A boy named sue...Walk the line and other classics but he didn't see me so I yelled mr cash! He said what's going on he signed my album that was made by him then said " Keep it for the lady's I laughed I still remember that day January 15 1966
Of course Elvis played guitar. He played on most of his records. Usually rhythm. Have you watched the 68 comeback special? He played electric guitar throughout.
Discovered smule and just feel honoured to be doing duets and collaborations of elvis songs. His songs are timeless and as fresh as the day that he sang them. Massive respect to all on Smule ( especially my friends) that always do justice to his music and sound so good
Johnny said, "I don't wear tight pants or wiggle my hips around, but I do know the words of about a thousand songs!" The FIRST member of both the Rock & Roll and Country Music Halls of Fame... others have followed, but Johnny was the first. Member of the "Millionaire Quartet" along with Elvis, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis at Sun Records.
I always wish I was born much early then I was, to see true performers and legends and such a inspiration to us all like the likes of Elvis &| Johnny cash live. Without a doubt you guys are causing trouble and mixing it up, up their above us lol TRUE LEGENDS ALWAYS !!!
Bobby Darin had 1000 different voices I'm just listening to a playlist and I'm like who's this guy and I see its Bobby and I'm like. LOOKS LIKE HE GOT ME AGAIN
I grew up listening to Both singers. They were both good and did impersonations of each other. Both were addicts. Both lived hard, but one learned to beat his demons. The other died from his. They both used their talent for good and evil. We are not their judges. GOD is. All the fussing and cussing done is useless. It only wastes your time to get to know who GOD is and what YOUR purpose in life is. I enjoyed both singers as an unchristian and as a christian. I see the difference one made on the other. Only you can choose whether to stay in this disfunction or to be as JESUS. I can only tell you that My life has not been the same. I still have the same problems, but the peace I have comes from GOD, and the peace I give glorifies HIM. IF we stop fuiding over the small stuff and focus on the major stuff like healing our childrens from drugs, abandonment, etc. We can focus on the skills they and we need to make this world better. A team is about strength and weakness, where one is strong and one is weak, they pick up the slack for each other. We each have talents just like these two singers( not the same talents)to bring to the table. What WE choose to do with those talents is up to us. GOD GAVE FREE WILL, HE DOES NOT FORCE ANYONE. Most of the things HE gets blame for are not HIM, but US. WE CANNOT FORCE EACH OTHER TO THINK>SAY< DO>FORGIVE>
I don't think it's fair to say Elvis died from his demons. In Elvis's last days he showed a bodyguard the Bible and said that this is the only way. Yes, he succumbed to a death from drugs but please recognize that he was PHYSICALLY dependent on drugs. Just as a diabetic is physically dependent on glucose. Addiction is a disease and in the 70's the Betty Ford Clinic had yet been opened and the stigma he believed he would have faced was worse than the medication itself. Medication that he could not write for himself mind you. Medication that was pushed in Hollywood as the norm. We shouldn't think less of one because he had a disease. Like you said only God can Judge and I believe only God knows the heart and soul of people. He is a loving God, one that understands what others don't.
I knew Johnny could sing any song and make it a thousand times better, but it was by far the most incredible, what a man! It's a shame I was a kid when he passed away and I couldn't see it in live... But God bless the internet!
