Buried my Mother today, it was a cold and cloudy day and I followed close behind that hearse. I’m alone at my parents home now. It used to feel full of love and like home. Now it feels so lonesome without my Mother’s presence. I’m so heartbroken. Cancer is a terrible disease.
The great Johnny Cash and Pop Staples. Proof that when different races work together something magical can emerge. Just a shame some others in the world don't see that 😥
I will be happy to see the day when we all see each other simply as fellow travelers on this journey of life. When we are seen only for öur character¨, not our color¨. Identification can separate. I think Morgan Freeman nailed it. Check out his answer to the question ¨what do we do about racism¨? But, I truly understand what you were trying to express, though. Maybe listen to MLK and go a bit deeper. Bless you.
@@notthathoneybee I am the child of an Indian father and Irish mother so I speak from personnal experience rather than let others to speak for me but of course any speech by MLK is worth listening to and his words are as relevant today as they were in the 1960s People here in the UK are probably just as familiar with great man and his work as Americans are and his life is celebrated in many ways here

I watched the hearse drive up and pick up my daughter 6 years ago the hardest thing in my life may you be resting in peace my sweet lanie mom loves you so very much miss you my sweet angel
June Carter did have a great voice, but she had to dial it back a couple of clicks this time. She started off too strong for the other singers in this song. One of my favorite songs by her and Johnny Cash is "Jackson."
My mother was wonderful. I miss get so much. 7 kids and never took food stamps. She worked so hard to support all of us. Now she's gone and two of my sisters too. We will all meet on the other side.
We just lost mama on 5-11-21 but she loved Johnny Cash. However she loved my daddy too. He was an amazing guitar player. He did an awesome job and. He loved country. Mama loved listening to him.
Very strong message for this day in age, the scene, the moral of the song just everything. Breaking the circle starts with ourselves. God bless you all.

I would love to hear every nationality in this world sing this song in their own way and connect with it. Death comes naturally and soon enough. We don't need to hurry it along by killing each other off prematurely. If there is surely one bonding point that we could all agree and come together upon, it is grieving the death of our loved ones
Who is ever reading this Jesus is alive and real and all you have to do is believe and he will do the rest he has came through for me so many times God bless all ❤️

We buried my mother yesterday it was a bright & sunny day but my daughter & I sang this song all the way to the cemetery to the top of our voices to this rendition !!!
You were Blessed. I'm friends with Marty Stuart and been in Charlie Daniels private company. Johnny Cash's was my Goal in life. What you talk about with JR & Waylon ? Or,do ?
I got a kiss and a hug from Willie Nelson and went backstage to meet Marty and the Superlatives. Shame I was born when I was, as had I been born earlier, I'd have been able to go and see all of them live.
Still planting the Lord's seed my ms ma's wishes. No worry about me God's got this and I asked forgiveness and give me strength for what I must do and my behaviour last night. And GOD has this and I I accept the grace he gives freely and the blood of Christ covers me as he is my lord and saviour
Buried my mom 1 month ago and I wanted this song sang but I couldn't remember the name of it. I'll never forget it again God rest her soul. I love you mother.
As I have recently lived this song with my Wife dying on 08/0422 I need to say that I have to believe that the circle will be unbroken and I hope God will call me when he is done with me. To those who are hurting. I love you family that God will
a man of truth I love and respect this man how he so loved dear sue in good and bad a match made in heaven now miss you johnny cash I grew up with you music x
Too brilliant for any words. This is the best. I modeled my rendition on old-time banjo after the Staple Singers. So haunting and wonderful. I left playing my 12 string, banjo and recorder during Covid to write a children's fantasy (fantasy stories can tell reality better than some non-fiction--you can say the truth so easily.) I am no one you've ever heard. So what. I love you all so well--your music, your truth and goodness in song.

Buried Mom in '90 - and this song embodies everything I felt - makes me cry every time - even 32 years later. And the utter talent and soul of this trio makes the tears even stronger.
Can't see that any other version by anyone else could ever best this & it has all to do with that great love between Johnny & June. Don't see that the world has seen anything like this since, though I could be wrong of course.
November 29, 2006 I lost my mother. She died around 10:30pm when the under takers took her out of the house till they loaded her and turned a corner out of site my brother and sister who passed in (2018) sung this song together to her. It's 2020.
June, in this rendition, is outstanding. She sang with a gravel in her voice she did not typically use. Raising her hand, truly enjoying the experience of singing together. I haven't lost anyone recently, but I felt the loss of these singers today. The circle remains unbroken, but it's dinged up.
This was my mother's favorite song. Brings tears to hear this song and think of her today. She has been gone a long time and I still miss her. Thanks for sharing.
Tomorrow is my sweet daughters birthday she will be 41 she passed 8 years ago and I so live this song forever and ever I had to go through it she passed in my arms in my house I so love you my sweet lanie
