This surely harms my heart!!!! Always loved Mavis Staples!!! But I've LOVED Joan Osbourne and Bonnie Raitt also. Now I know why!!!! WOW!!!! I didn't think Joan is as old or had the experiences that she has (which is purely ignorance on my part; being a musician). But now I KNOW why I have such love and admiration for these ladies!!!! I REALLY do!!!!!

I saw the Staples singers in the 60's at the Fillmore East, of all places. A crowd of stoned hippies wasn't the best audience for gospel but I loved it.
